Hillary Clinton was the only First Lady ever to be indicted. Ruminate on that.
Been on a kick lately of revisiting the old Hillary Clinton scandals. Druff is big on nostalgia and I find myself marking what I was doing at the time of each of them.... in the same way a song might trigger the memory of some slut you were dating.
What was I doing when Vince Foster was killed? Or when she nuked the White House travel office to get her relative in to run it. The campaign financing indictments and settlements. The attacks on Bill's bimbos. Etc., etc.
Hillary scandals are kinda the soundtrack of my adult life. I guess, I have to credit her with helping form my adult view as to how politics work. Long before Bush and all that.
The best stuff you see is the testimony and gossip from the secret service agents who had the pleasure of serving her. Absolutely awesome.... and consistent in their depiction of her as arrogant, elitist, ruthless. Just a nasty bitch.
Bernie has most everybody's respect for running a sincere campaign based on his ideas & principle's. Not to offend you, FPS, but we know it's over for Bernie. He's an amateur politician. It's like he's persuing a lifelong hobby. You can't win without trading money for favors and playing the power game.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Espousing ideas and platitudes don't get you elected in America.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only works when running for class president in middle school.
So here's the thing, FPS. If Bernie is a moral man, why in god's name hasn't he confronted his opponent on her past?
I like Bernie. At times I thought would vote for him just because he wasn't part of the filthy political establishment.
However, his failure to go after his opponent's character - especially at this point when he is pretty much done - just strikes me as weak ass and scared. He almost has a moral obligation to this country to do so.
I am absolutely convinced Hillary will be our next President. It reinforces my view of our political system. So to some degree it pleases me to be right and amuses me to watch the childlike sincerity with which the masses and forum posters debate candidates' ideas and character. Kinda faggot actually.
The only thing I wonder now is whether Hillary will survive her first term before being handcuffed and perp walked across through the Rose Garden.
She's the baddest politician in the USA though. Ruthless and cunning. Her win rate is still perfect. I can't wait to see the mafia she assembles. Realistically and as a practical matter she can't be touched.
You know that old line: "grant me the serenity to accept things I cannot change". Try to understand the world you occupy and play that game. Idealism will get you killed.
I gamble the markets. Personally, I think the situation right now is a huge Ponzi scheme. It's an important part of the recipe that will get Hillary elected. What I think about the correctness of the markets is irrelevant. I play the hand that is dealt. I don't fight for what's right. That Zen will reap reward.
Been thinking a lot about the Middle East. ISIS, oil and all that. My reflex is to not give a shit about ISIS. You reap what you sow. I keep thinking about London and the IRA. Inconvenient, some casualties but I really choose not to get too worked up.
I had an epiphany recently. The Carter Doctrine in 1980 was the beginning of the Middle East. This shit has been part of our modern national agenda for 40 years. Yes, it's all about oil.
Quote:
The Carter Doctrine was a policy proclaimed by President of the United States Jimmy Carter in his State of the Union Address on January 23, 1980, which stated that the United States would use military force if necessary to defend its national interests in the Persian Gulf.
Late 70's we had an oil crisis. Lines at the pump. Our perception of freedom and way of life as American's was threatened. If you can't fill up your Camaro, grab a six pack and hit the open road then what does it mean to be American?
Again, achieving a clarity about the world you live in provides a peace of mind. The world begins to amuse you. Listening to the "Druff Doctrine" on radio (lol, WMD's) becomes a source for entertainment and your Weds nights become a fuller and richer experience.
Tyde, in what universe can anyone talk about the US election for more than an hour much less 24? It's over, dude. The GOP convention will offer some good lulz. But that's for later. Consider, an anti-fraud show. DO discuss forum topics and drama. Riff a little.
I could go on. Oh, wait... What is the deal with the Flying Stupidity Wagering thread? It is time to take a good hard look in the mirror gentlemen when a chimp like me is dominating that thread. What kind of group is this that don't discuss playoff sports, wager etc? I hope you will address the low testorene issues Tyde.
I'm out. Enjoy your day.
