Druff
1st 5 under Dodgers (Buehler) Dia (Weaver)
No Turner or Seager. Buehler pitch count.
Weaver is not terrible.
Lines are not out but I want 4.5 I’ll wait - Pinnacle shows 4 overnight
Hope Sat. nite fireworks bring out the Dodger squares.
love Buehler.
It’s interesting the first 3 Sawks starters have been beyond awful. Cora was saving reps preseason. Load mgmt after World Series, I guess.
Didn’t work. Sound familiar? Buehler is sooo naturally talented that work prolly isn’t AS critical but it’s still a caution.
Nerds gettin jiggy with spring training. I heard Sawks spring training was awful. Really didn’t follow. Cora made a big deal out of spring training last year. Yes he was a new mgr but he made a big deal of starting strong.
Some nerd prolly thinks if we go .500 while work our pitchers into game shape we are fine but load wise we shift everything back. You feel me bro?
Prolly gonna autobet 1st 5 over Sawks Mariners.
I’m glad we could share.
Well, occasionally mistakes pay off.
My only losing pick today was the Braves. My accidental Phillies -1.5 half-bet ended up winning (started down 3-0, then almost got fucked by 9th inning trash time, but still won), so I ended up 0.2 units ahead on that one despite the pick itself losing.
Miami did indeed get their first win today as predicted.
The Heat/Knicks gave me a scare with a monster scoring run in the game's first 5 minutes (something like 35 points), and after the first half, it still wasn't looking good. Then the two teams went back to their usual non-scoring ways, and it covered by 17 points. LOL
So when the smoke cleared, I won 2.2 units today.
Sanlmar, regarding your Dodgers/Dbacks pick:
I'm afraid I can't endorse your under first 5 innings pick. As much as I love Buehler, he barely pitched in the spring, and is likely to be somewhat rusty.
Dodgers have also killed the ball in 2 of the first 3 games -- scoring 12 runs on Thursday, and 18 today.
It's possible they'll have a scoring hangover after putting up the 18 (I've seen that happen before), but this isn't an under-first-5 pick I love.
You know which under-first-five pick I did love? Your Col/Mia pick on Friday. Two hot pitchers, and one of the two teams with a bad offense.
This one... I'll pass.
Good call on the Dbacks yesterday. While the Dodgers honestly should have won that one, I did kind of have the feeling they would lose before the game started. Any +159 hit is always nice.
Thanks Druff.
I did acknowledge Buehler may not remember where to stand tomorrow.
You have to acknowledge I really am trying to grow as a person. I have positive feelings about a Dodger.
I’m not willing to pay money to indulge that feeling though.

Here's the rest of MLB
St. Louis (Wacha) at Milwaukee (Burnes) - Under 9 -115 - Public is heavy on the over. Both pitchers looked good in the spring (especially Wacha).
Texas (Lynn) +117 vs. Cubs (Hamels) - Hamels is going to get beat by his former club. Public big on Cubs here, Vegas moving line other way.
Co-signed
MLB - 958 ST. LOUIS CARDINALS/MILWAUKEE BREWERS UNDER 9 -115 FOR GAME
Druff under Push
Not the best start in the Pirates/Reds game.
Gray looking lousy in the 1st. Got out with 1 run. He better shape up.
this is what I was talking about yesterday...all I could find...I tried to get individual pitchers on baseball reference, but couldn't get the query to work...old guy cant use the internet...
obv this data is worthless, just something to look at for 'is this something that might be viable'...don't know if we focus on starters or first 3/4 guys in the lineup...I mean look at yesterday...thor/stras, teams scored 4...will be interesting to see what shakes out in these first few weeks...

I’m sorry Druff. Little obsessive about Buehler now.
I made it a point to be up early and take a peek. I got my Under Dodgers 1st 5 @ 4.5 and it’s back to 4.

I filed for bankruptcy after yesterday. But then they looked at the other days this week and laughed at my request. One losing day but it was a doozy.

Delino DeShields broke my heart 26 years ago when the Dodgers traded for him.
The guy they gave up? Pedro Martinez.
I thought it was a terrible trade then, and it turned out to be one of the worst in history.
Delino finally did something good. It took having a kid by the same name, raising him as a baseball player, and having that kid hit a grand slam to put Texas up 5-4.
Of course, Texas sucks and gave that lead right back, so it's 5-5 now. But at least I'm back alive.
Young Jordan Hicks blew the game in Milwaukee, and my under with it. Went from a win to a tie.
Pirates/Reds covered easily.
So it's up to Texas.
Golden State at Charlotte - Under 228.5
I'll fire on simp's Detroit pick.
:whynot
This Texas game is really crazy.
4-1 Cubs, then 5-4 Rangers on a slam, then 8-5 Cubs, now 8-8 after a triple knocking in 2.
well san, that was certainly a puke inducing way to lose an under in the BOS/DET game...jesus fucking Christ, unreal...
I don't know how he suddenly became an NHL handicapping prodigy, but I've become a believer.
What a day.
Cincy/Pirates came easy, but the rest was a big sweat.
Cardinals/Brewers was close the whole way, seemed to be in line to win, and then 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th made it tie.
Cubs and Rangers were trading leads back and forth over and over, until the Rangers won with a walkoff in the bottom of the 9th, 11-10.
Golden State under looked lousy in the first half, then looked great by the mid-4th, then looked like a lock with 2:57 left, 22.5 points still under, and trash time in a huge blowout. Then the scrubs all put in a flurry of baskets, and it squeaked by covering by 1.5.
The Detroit NHL pick of simp's was looking good up 2-0, then was down 3-2 going into the 3rd. Then it crushed the 3rd and easily won 6-3.
So all in all, I had two dog wins (one thanks to simp), two totals wins, and one tie. Can't complain!
Don't get worried by Druff's April Fools' Day Joke.....FBI/DOJ have us on the list because we're straight up stealing from the bookies.
Wash/FL over 1.5 first period -190 Loss

Pick from jail.
Had to bribe a guard to have him let me post this, so I hope you appreciate it.
Atlanta (Newcomb) -105 vs. Cubs (Hendricks)
Fired on Edmonton +210 and Calgary under 6 -123.
Gl everyone
NBA
Dallas +175 vs. Philadelphia - No Embiid or Butler
Also, Braves up 8-0 and Dallas up by 20.
Maybe simp's NHL results are contagious to other sports and other handicappers.
I should have mentioned that Dallas was one of my favorite picks in a long time. Two stars out for Philly, Dallas at home, AND it's +175? Get the fuck outta here. I am only sorry I didn't double bet it, because I legit loved that one. I would have taken it as a favorite.
Two bonus baseball picks:
Angels (Stratton) +104 (down to -105 ok) at Seattle (F. Hernandez) - King Felix is going to get hammered.
Oakland (Brooks) +127 vs. Boston (Price) - Price's problems are back. He looked terrible in the spring and barely pitched.
Both starting 7:05-7:10 PDT
Looks like we need Edmonton to come back and win to salvage these later games. I think we can already write off the Calgary under. (In simp's defense, I saw the sharps in general liked that under.) Over 1st period Oilers already lost though I didn't bet that one.
I still have some hope, given what we saw with Detroit yesterday.
Pretty good start to MLB despite the 1-2 beginning. Since then:
Miami (P. Lopez) +121 vs. Colorado (T. Anderson) - WON
Pittsburgh (T. Williams) at Cincinnati (S. Gray) - Under 8 -105 - WON
St. Louis (Wacha) at Milwaukee (Burnes) - Under 9 -115 - TIED
Texas (Lynn) +117 vs. Cubs (Hamels) - WON
Atlanta (Newcomb) -105 vs. Cubs (Hendricks) - WON
Angels (Stratton) +104 at Seattle (F. Hernandez) - LOST
Oakland (Brooks) +127 vs. Boston (Price) - WON
That's 5-1-1, +4.55 units
Overall: 6-3-1, +3.85 units
Underdogs: 4-3 (+1.95)
Totals: 1-0-1 (+0.95)
Favorites: 1-0 (+0.95)
FYI every bet is one unit (no matter what, at least for record-keeping), and if the listed pitchers don't go, the bet is no-action.
Where is simp today? Wanna take another crack at the NHL.
Anyway, here's a last minute MLB pick. More coming soon.
Colorado (Freeland) +158 at Tampa (Snell)
Starting 4:10pm PDT
