Always a better thread when Daly is around, actually.
Depressing to go up 3-0 and lose on my very first bet of the season. But I'll exit today happy if the Cards hold and Angels win.
Public loved my A's pic btw. LOL

How do two 3-0 leads turn into blowout losses?
Talk about a stiff welcome to my betting season.
Hopefully Angels at least take me to 1-2.
That's karma for betting against our beloved Dodgers.
If angels blow this 9-2 lead, it's time to pack it in for me.
Angels blew out Atlanta, as I thought would happen.
Kinda felt like I got robbed today. I realize 3-0 leads are not insurmountable, but when you have TWO 3-0 leads, you should win both most of the time, and at least 1 of 2 almost all the time.
Fade Colon in every start where the line is reasonable. He's toast.
The Dodgers are in 1st place with the 2nd best record in baseball.
This is a perversion of the game I love.
I try to write it off to variance but it doesn't help
Get used to it.
They should stay there, though the Rockies might keep it interesting. Maybe the Diamondbacks will even hang on, if their starting pitching continues to hold up. But the Dodgers are the best in the NL West, and surely look a hell of a lot better than everyone else right now, save for perhaps the Nationals (who are essentially their equal at the moment).
Plays for 5/31:
Arizona (Godley) +101 at Pittsburgh (Kuhl) - Two pitchers and teams going in opposite directions. The Pirates are a weak offensive club and sit with a 24-29 record, while the Dbacks are surprisingly good at 32-22, and hit the ball well. Zack Godley was a bad pitcher in 2016 who added 4 MPH to his fastball, and now looks really good. Chad Kuhl has been a disaster in 2017. I'll take the even money bet on Arizona here. This game begins at 9:35am Pacific, so bet early!
Baltimore (Gausman) vs. NY Yankees (Tanaka) - Over 9 -110 - Gausman has allowed 8 or more hits in 80% of his starts this year. Tanaka has looked awful in 2017, save for his last game against light-hitting Oakland. Each has an ERA of around 6. I believe this should be another high scoring affair.
Colorado (Senzatela) +166 at Seattle (Paxton) - Paxton was dominating with a 1.43 ERA through early May, but he's been out for almost a month with a strained forearm. This will be his first start back. Senzatela has been a surprise for the Rockies, going 7-1 with a 3.19 ERA and 1.145 WHIP. Colorado has proven they can win on the road this year, with an 18-8 record thus far. I'll take the +166 against a guy who isn't likely to be 100%.
Tablet - Baseball - MLB - 951 Arizona Diamondbacks -101 for Game
If you are watching this on MLB channel with these Pittsburgh announcers you are earning your money. Sleepy & awful
Patrick Reed ML (+100)
The Memorial Tournament Matchups - Justin Thomas vs Patrick Reed
Emiliano Grillo ML (-130)
The Memorial Tournament Matchups - Emiliano Grillo vs Charl Schwartzel
Marc Leishman ML (-130)
The Memorial Tournament Matchups - Marc Leishman vs Bud Cauley
Sometimes you need to not out think yourself. Took a look at that Bluejays lineup today and thought to myself it's time to fire on the reds.
Then I remembered it's the reds.
Sometimes it's the bets you don't make.
So Arizona blows a 4-3 lead in the 9th and a 5-4 lead in the 11th.
Then a rain delay.
:sfstandard
BTW you can get 8.5 -115 on the Yankees over now.
Yankees over hits in the 5th.
2-0 so far today
Sadly I almost went with Milwaukee today, too, but deGrom's last outing was so good that I chickened out.
We took a massive $460k bet on Cubs money line today vs San Diego. Only 2nd MLB bet more than 400k this year.
@cantorgaming
Only one play for today:
Boston (E. Rodriguez) -121 at Baltimore (Miley) - I think this game is going to be the one where Miley finally blows up, after dancing out of trouble repeatedly throughout most of his starts this season. Rodriguez has looked solid all year.
Considered taking Greinke and the -125 today against the Marlins. On the surface, it looked good. Greinke has pitched much better in 2017 than he did last year. Arizona is a much better team than Miami. Giancarlo Stanton may not play. Jeff Locke is coming off the DL to make his first start for Miami, and he hasn't been any good in years.
So why not? Greinke didn't look good at all last time out, and Locke was unexpectedly dominating in his rehab starts. I'm going to pass.
