I am now 15 hours in since the 2nd shot.
My arm is definitely much more sore than after the 1st dose, but other than that and feeling a little achey, so far so good. No other symptoms.
I’ll update in a few hours. Hopefully I dodged a bullet.

-Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: $53,501
...those are the parts that are not highlighted in that shitty tweet by some dweeb whose biggest financier was the Club for Growth...
"The Guardian described the group as "one of the biggest backers" of Republicans who voted to overturn the results of the 2020 United States presidential election, having spent around $20 million on their campaigns in 2018 and 2020"
...oh and that nefarious group that forked a full 50k...
"The foundation's goal, through the use of grants, is "to improve the health and health care of all Americans"
...and the super secret reason why Johnson & Johnson is connected to that grimy foundation might have something to do with Robert Wood Johnson II being the founder of the company and the foundation.
Also J&J and Pfizer aren't super best friends. They're direct competitors.
ROFL lemmings.
lol look at gimmick shill for big pharma, what a faggot
My neighbor left via ambulance yesterday, after having a seizure.
Got his 2nd shot the day before.
So up here in the Great White North things continue to go swimmingly.
Got the AstraZeneca vaccine Friday morning. Late Friday night & all day Saturday were a right off. Insane headache, fever, body aches, the whole package. Ok now with the exception of a very sore arm.
Wife’s turn tomorrow.
The wife & I are daily exercisers/not overweight.
Why AstraZeneca? No choice. The only way to get vaccinated in my age group (40-60) is AZ.
There’s a lot of you that bash Canada on here, my guess is you’ve never spent much time here. Honestly it’s a great place to live with the exception of the shitty weather Nov-Mar. Unlike Les I love the good old USA too & spend those months in a warm location.
Trudeau is an epic fail. For many reasons this guy is a terrible leader but his handling of the COVID pandemic has been comical. And the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford (brother to crackhead Rob Ford / infamous dead Toronto mayor) is even worse. Literally had a meltdown on his presser last week, crying & apologizing. Clueless leadership.
Because of the government’s inability to procure vaccinations last year we are stuck with the decision of accepting AZ or waiting another few months.
Fuck that. I need 1 more shot & we are off to Vegas that weekend.
Just got my second an hour ago.
It was a good run.
Background: I'm 46, 5'11", average weight, (165) and in average physical condition. I had what I would term a "moderate" case of COVID back in early January. No severe symptoms or shortness of breath, but was legit knocked on my ass for about 10 days. Onset of symptoms was January 2nd, and they finally disappeared on January 14th.
I got the first Pfizer shot last Wednesday the 21st under immense pressure from my girlfriend, who I live with, and who had a much milder case of COVID at the same time I did. I resisted for awhile before finally giving in, but I felt the whole time like i was making a mistake and I just didn't need the vaccine yet.
Timeline since then:
Rest of Wednesday: progressively sorer arm around injection site
Thursday: Sore arm continued and general muscle/body aches
Friday: Aches not as bad, but beginnings of a scratchy throat
Saturday: Full-on head cold symptoms, but feel fine otherwise
Yesterday: Absolutely knocked on my ass. Felt like I couldn't get out of bed. All head cold type symptoms still present plus a modest (99.4) fever in the evening
Today: No more fever and I "feel" better, but my head still feels like its going to explode.
My girlfriend (who I love dearly, but who basically takes her life cues from Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo and Trevor Noah) is trying to gaslight me into thinking that this is somehow not related to the shot. Because you know, the vaccines are perfect and nothing bad could EVER happen to people given a vaccine tested for 15-20% of the normal study period for these types of things to get approval... right???
The research I've done leads me to believe that there's a definite correlation between the fact that I had a recent moderate COVID case and the bad vaccine side effects. Simply put, I already had robust immunity and the shot:
A.) was redundant, and
B.) had the effect of sending my immune system into overdrive.
Unless I see something ground breaking that changes my mind, there is currently a 0.0% chance of my keeping my 2nd shot appointment.
I'm by NO MEANS an anti-vaxxer or telling anybody to get or not get the vaccine... All I'm saying is don't let societal pressure or pressure from others (regardless of ideology) affect the medical decisions that you make for yourself.
why would your gf try to convince you this is unrelated to the shot, all of these are recognized side effects.
Guess I’m an odd duck.
First shot I was sleepy & slightly lethargic. Maybe some aches and pains and def a sore arm at the injection site.
Second shot sore at injection site. Cant really report much else. Don’t feel like going out for dinner or anything but that’s me most Mondays.
Guess I’m lucky
If by this past January you mean just 3.5 months ago, not 15.5 months ago, I would have got vaccine with the intent of getting just one. Even the experts have weighed only one shot for those who had COVID even mid year last year. Yours being so recent, I’d feel completely covered by that one you got. You basically got a second shot reaction to first shot, which makes perfect sense.
I think it would be the official recommendation and protocol that those with Covid get one shot if so many people weren’t convinced they had COVID without getting a positive test. I’d say of ten people who were convinced they had it, some I was even convinced, only two ended up actually having it. I think they are worried about saying just get one because of the self-diagnose crowd convinced they had it without verification.
If you just had it this January, I assume you got a positive test as testing was prevalent, and I’d consider myself done.
If I was just pretty sure I had it, maybe even almost positive, but didn’t have a positive test, I’d get both. That sounds like an unpleasant few days, but nothing you can’t handle or couldn’t handle again. With a positive test three months ago, fuck having a bad few days again unnecessarily. That would be my approach. Glad you’re feeling better.
My first with pfizer on 4/20 was just a sore arm for a couple days, although I was a bit more lethargic the next day. Second coming on 5/11. Hoping for the same.
I get to visit the good folks from the US Navy and all the other workers/volunteers at the Hynes Convention Center tomorrow morning for Pfizer shot 2.
Because she's a penultimate "rule follower" who has a really hard time with any sort of independent thinking that may differ from the official gubmint stance, and she wants to make sure I get the second shot.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for posting this. I did some research and you are spot on.

Just a heads up, you are using “penultimate” wrong.
It means the second to last thing...the one before the ultimate thing.
You would think so, but sadly no...
The freakiest she ever got was a couple years ago when one night when she was out at the bar with some of her girlfriends and she winds up bringing home some random 24-year old girl who was actually pretty hot. Much happiness ensued.
Nothing else comes even remotely close to that.
You know, until you posted this I didn't even realize that I had added the "pen."
You're correct, of course.
The only thing funnier than young healthy people getting the vaccine is those who already have natural immunity bombarding their body.
Let’s talk about no brains, so you are young and have zero chance of dying yet you stick an emergency experimental substance in your body with unknown short and long term effects.
Or.....you have natural immunity from actually having the virus and instead of getting an antibody test, you stick an emergency experimental substance in your body with unknown short and long term effects.
Just because the politicians and pharmaceutical shills tell you to.
If nothing else, this shows how weak and dumb humans remain being. The ole jump into a lake syndrome.
Congrats. Lolz.
got my 2nd pfizer shot yesterday at ~9:45 AM. Minor arm charley horse appeared thru the evening and night, same as 1st shot, but that was it for the day.
woke up today, arm was a little sorer than the day before, I generally felt a little energy-sapped and slightly foggy, and my lower back area felt like it was a little swollen or inflamed, lats and kidney area. Fogginess was gone by noon, back weirdness is slowly fading away, now I just feel like I didn't sleep well last night, or rather, slept too much is more accurate. I prepared for a real shitty day, and got off fairly easy. A little coffee or tea (depending on time of day) and a few tokes and today is as bright and shiny as any other.
Despite my shitty week ast a result of the 2nd Pfizer shot (which lasted far longer than I anticipated), I feel completely back to normal now, and no longer have a trace of any of the issues which came up last week.
This weekend I return to life.
my 2nd shot is in like 3 weeks and i need someone to come fix my boiler and all i can think about are all the articles filled with testimonials from people who got covid before they could get their 2nd shot, and im not a fan of this feeling.
I’ve read about people hitting a slot machine for millions of dollars too. Still doesn’t happen all that often.
I’ve read the first Pfizer shot does a hell of a lot of protection at 2 weeks. I’d probably wait on living out your OSA fantasy with Mr Boiler for a few more weeks but you should be good to for regular service.
I got my second shot earlier today, I’m sick as a dog ATM. I got a headache and just feel very run down. Pfizer shot. I had zero symptoms after the first shot
Biden, Harris and the CDC are the real anti vaxxers!
Sad!
I’m so sick it stupid from the 2nd shot. I’ve been sick about two days, headache, nausea, tired and I woke up this morning my armpit is so swollen I can’t put my arm down. I had less issues with the bug then the shot
When the guy Walgreens gave me the shot, he asked what were your symptoms with the first shot.
I said none.
He goes into this laundry list of symptoms asked me about arm soreness. I told him, I had no symptoms, no issues.
He then tells me, well this is the same dose but a different shot, you’re going to get sick and have headache, bodyaches, nausea, arm soreness and a few other things. He told me to take Tylenol if the symptoms were too severe.
My issue with that, you expect to get sick after a conversation like that. After talking to him most people would assume anything that happens in their body is automatically a vaccine symptom. Get a sore elbow it must be joint pain from the vaccine. Stomach’s a little upset it must be the vaccine. Well maybe I was wrong about people over reacting lol
