The hospital is probably just holding him for the purposes of studying his god-like(todd-like?) immune system so the medical community can get a head start on developing a vaccine/antibiotic for the next big super bug that will threaten humanity.

Why are we not getting updates on Druff's condition? As a now 10 YEAR member of the forums, this is just crazy. Is this not Kaposi Sarcoma? This is the fucking problem about not having moderators. We need information!
And I think cmoney was kidding? Druff's bird making an appearance a couple pages back would suggest he's fine.
He probably got some antiseptic cream and life is good again.
Reminds me of that episode of Friends were Ross fakes his own death just to see the reaction.
Prior to this health disaster did Druff say why radio was on a three week hiatus?
That is a long time of being "planned" that way for Druff, not a few weeks due to him getting strep throat, laryngitis, and a curable minor aids.
Was he taking a bunch of secret vacations or finally tying the knot with Benny's mom?
If we only knew the hospital and room number the pfa community could have at least scrapped together a quarter a piece for a 12 pack of coca cola and a get well soon card.
As a solider, if anything happens on these forums (stroke, death), I will take over this place. Been a while since I moderator a forum, but willing to do so until a purchase is facilitated.
Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if cmoney purchased from Druff's widow and made you, Tyde and Larry his mods.
He'd kick back each night with a bottle of something fine and enjoy the spectacle.
Dam Druff probably in some run down Obama Care hospital in East LA with Chico Loco.

MRSA = quarantine
Scary factoid: Airborne MRSA facts, risks and prevention
Gentlemen, excuse me while I take a shower.Quote:
mrsa travels on skin or dust particles
MRSA bacteria travel through the air on skin or dust particles from people who are infected, or from carriers.
It’s commonly known that MRSA is transmitted by touch, but few people are aware of another way this infection can spread: as airborne MRSA.
The risk of transmission of MRSA or Staph in the air is well established in many studies. However, neither the CDC MRSA hospital precautions nor the media is letting the public know about this problem. More importantly, hospitals and health care facilities aren’t publicizing this risk. I even know of doctors and RNs who have expressly denied that these infections can spread through the air.
Let’s look at how these bacteria become suspended in the air, what the risks are, and what the studies say about MRSA in the air. Then let’s review some techniques to help guard against germs floating in the air.
How and why does MRSA spread into the air?
First of all, there are two types of people who can spread this disease: 1) people who are infected and 2) people who are “carriers” but are not infected themselves.
Both types of people can be a source of airborne bacteria. This is because the average person sheds millions of skin particles throughout the day. Because these bacteria love the skin, they can hitch a ride on tiny skin particles that circulate into the air. Particles landing on other people can lead to colonization of their skin with the bacteria. If the particles are small enough, they can also enter the nose (also causing colonization) or lungs (possibly causing pneumonia).
Risks in hospital room air
Studies have been performed in hospitals to see how these infections move through the air. Their findings can help you understand the risks, whether you are in a hospital or at home.
Studies have now confirmed that the in-air route of transmission is responsible for a large number of resistant Staph infections.
A June 2001 study published in the JAMA Otolaryngology Head and Neck Journal, showed that MRSA could be acquired by medical staff and patients through the air in hospitals. The study was conducted in a hospital ward and found MRSA re-circulating in the air, among the patients and on inanimate objects in the area, especially when there was movement in the patient’s rooms. This study identified both colonized carriers and infected people as sources of risk.
This study concluded that Methicillin-resistant S aureus was recirculated among the patients, the air, and the inanimate environments, especially when there was movement in the rooms. Measures should be taken to prevent the spread of MRSA in the air in order to control hospital acquired infections.
A new study from Leeds University in 2012 shows that patients with MRSA can spread the bacteria into the air inside their rooms. The study used a heated mannequin inside a controlled chamber to simulate an infected patient in a hospital room. The bacteria were released from the mannequin and were detected up to 11 feet away inside the chamber.
Before a scheduled 3 week stay in hospital last year they took a swab from my nose & nutsack which determined I had some sorta MRSA thing going on.
Resulted in me being quarantined, which was great as it meant I got my own private suite and zero interaction with other patients.
Can't even remember how they treated it. But I do know that shit can kill if it goes full blown.

I got it in Vegas somehow in summer of '07. Felt it coming on nearing end of my stay. I drove out as my plans were indefinite and stayed like 6 weeks, and ended up in some 8 bed regional hospital in Golden, Colorado at like 3AM in the morning after starting to swerve all over the road getting sick and loopy. Recall my heart racing like a cocaine bender.
Got the shit surgically lanced by a doctor who ended up growing up like 15 minutes from me. Labs said it was staph, likely mrsa, gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. No stay. No quarantine. Had reemergence once home. Lanced again. Labs said same, no quarantine, no stay.
Never had a full emergence again, but occasionally, when I feel run down or I'm on little rest for a few weeks, I can feel the shit start to raise again, like it could pop back up, but I've always kept it at bay. Don't think it ever really leaves your system totally, but I've heard different things from medical professionals, so who knows?

Hello, everyone.
I still can't believe this happened to me.
On Tuesday night, I posted pics of those weird sores on my hand, and told everyone that I had taken a 5.5 mile hike earlier that day with no problem.
I woke up on Wednesday morning and noticed that my hand looked worse, but again I did not feel sick or fatigued at all. However, I was busy and did not have time to log into PFA. On Thursday, my hand looked about the same as it did on Thursday. I did feel a little more tired than usual, but I dismissed it as simply being stressed about the situation with my hand.
I decided to throw caution to the wind, and took yet another hike in the early evening. This one was not in an area known to have mosquitoes, nor other bugs of concern, so I thought everything would be fine.
After about 1.5 miles, I started feeling very strange, and my heart started beating faster. I thought I was just winded and figured I would just sit down. However, there was no place to sit, but I saw about 100 feet ahead, there seemed to be a tree stump which would work perfectly. I said to my girlfriend, "I don't feel that good, I'm going to sit down at that stump over there", and started to walk that direction.
That's all I remember.
Apparently I walked about 5 feet, and fell down unconscious.
My girlfriend could not dial 911 because there was no cell reception where we were. She took Benjamin and ran with him to the last point where she had reception, called 911, and then ran back to where I was still unconscious.
There were apparently 3 other people there trying to wake me up, and someone else had apparently also run back to call 911.
At the hospital, a full day passed and I could not be awakened. Everyone was extremely concerned, though doctors could not come to any conclusion as to what happened. The marks on my hand were different than they had ever seen, even when sending pictures of them to an insect bite specialist. My vitals seemed to be okay, but I simply was not able to regain consciousness.
On Friday night, my girlfriend was visiting and put the Dodgers on TV, hoping perhaps the sound of the game would be something familiar to bring me back to the real world.
For about an hour, nothing happened. However, with the Dodgers down 4-3 in the 7th, Chris Taylor hit a double to tie the game 4-4 against the Giants, and suddenly I mumbled something like, "I knew Taylor would do it, he always does", and then fell back unconscious.
She jumped up in excitement and called the nurse over, who then told her she had to leave the room while they attempt to bring me back to consciousness.
About 30 seconds after my girlfriend left, Corey Seager hit a 2-run homer to put the Dodgers up 6-4. My eyes opened at that point, and I said, "Yeah!! Seager!! Just like PLOL and OSA said, you're hot!!"
At this point I was fully conscious. I remember saying that, but I don't remember why I said it (other than the fact that PLOL and OSA really said this at one point).
The nurse didn't understand the PLOL and OSA part, and actually thought I was gay and had a crush on Corey Seager. After telling me that I had been unconscious for over 24 hours and that they couldn't wake me, the nurse quietly told me, "Oh, and I won't tell your wife what you said when you woke up. I have a brother like you, and I know this isn't any of my business."
It took me a second to process this, but I was very embarrassed when I realized what I had said. The nurse believed I was a closeted gay guy who was hiding it from his wife. At first I was dying to see her again so I could explain the forum and what I meant by that, but then I noticed she was treating me really nicely because I was "like her brother", so I let her go on believing I was gay.
Then I shook that off and thought deeply about my situation. I was really unconscious for over 24 hours. I could not be awakened. Nobody knew why. Nobody still knows why. It's a mystery. Obviously it had something to do with those marks on my hand, but they can't even figure out what they are or how they got there. I feel terrible for my girlfriend, for Benjamin, for my parents, for my brother and sister... all were so concerned, and they had to wait over a full day for this crisis to be over, while I was completely out cold and had no idea.
Various tests were then run. All of them came back negative or inconclusive.
I was told to stay for observation for 72 hours, so I'm still in the hospital.
The food is absolutely terrible. I ordered pizza from a nearby place which delivered, but it irritated me that I had to pay $21.50 before tip for the same pizza I could get there carryout for $7.95. But whatever. Had to suck it up and pay it. The staff wasn't thrilled about a pizza being delivered, but I'm not on any dietary restrictions, so fuck 'em.
Provided nothing else happens, I will be out on Tuesday night. No hikes for awhile.
The 3 marks have subsided somewhat, and seem to be going in the right direction. At the very least, it has been confirmed that everything is okay for now, and in fact I'm not even on any medication.
I was not able to get on here until now because my phone was dead, I had no charger with me, and my girlfriend had to go back home and bring me one.
She also brought me my computer, which I'm using right now for the first time.
I see BGC has been a bad boy with bumping threads pointlessly.
The post she made on Thursday night was done while she was in a distraught state. She wanted to post something positive regarding what I felt about the users here, in case I died or didn't wake up.
I have since instructed her to post a more detailed message upon my death or long-term comatose state, which will bluntly and callously lay out who I really liked and disliked here.
Hopefully it will never come to that.
Glad to see you're somewhat ok.
Jeez, welcome back. I feel bad for assuming this was another one of your hypochondriac episodes.
Also glad to hear I'm a part of your subconscious.
Wow Druff is really getting elaborate with the set up for next year's April fool's joke
Oh, one really important detail I forgot from my last post:
Wait, that wasn't it.
Oh yeah, here's what I wanted to say:
Lesson learned: never go anywhere you can't get cell phone reception.
As soon as I read your story I knew it was bull shit, basically because of this sequence:
"I did feel a little more tired than usual, but I dismissed it as simply being stressed about the situation with my hand.
I decided to throw caution to the wind, and took yet another hike in the early evening. This one was not in an area known to have mosquitoes, nor other bugs of concern, so I thought everything would be fine."
How does one throw caution at the wind and take a hike into an isolated area? This is the opposite of throwing caution into the wind.
Another piece of bull shit was hiking in an area without mosquitoes, as if there are advertised areas that are mosquito free.
Then there is the homo reference from the nurse, no registered nurse would ever say anything like that to someone she has known for 30 seconds, give me a break.
And no Obamacare insurance would get 72 free hours when test show there is nothing wrong with you.
As soon as I read your initial post I knew it was BS. With that said I am glad you are not dead or mortally ill, I honestly thought you had latent Kaposi Sarcoma.
Told you fuckers you needed to take the baton. I ran such a strong first leg but I got gassed. I knew we were on the right path. Four of us would have gotten it done...
However in poker terms you could say I folded to his four bet though since I bumped back threads. After 12-18 hours of him not changing it back I will admit I thought something was wrong.
I knew the story was bullshit as soon as you said that you paid $21.50 for a pizza to get delivered that you could get for $7.99 carry out.
Willie: I get the joke. It's bottomfag.
