yes you'd need Dialisys. if you recieve a kidney transplant you'd need it.
so yeah
are you guys doctors too?
Ok time for a legit medical professional to chime in (Previous FF/Paramedic 12 yrs, Nurse currently going on 9 yrs)
1. You can survive with one kidney and not need dialysis. One kidney can do a good enough job on its own however often the MD will suggest you modify your diet somewhat to avoid overtaxing the kidney that remains. As long as you kidney is filtering out the BUN and Creatinine as well as maintaining fluid balance no need for dialysis. (Normally dialysis is only mandated when function falls down into stage 3-4 Kidney failure meaning the kidney can't maintain even 1/3 minimum function needed for the body
2. If having a transplant does nothing to remove the need for dialysis then there would be no point for a kidney transplant so No idiot. If you get a transplant (oh and they only do one kidney as well hence why living donors are common), you shouldn't need dialysis unless the body rejects the graft (new kidney) and basically kills it off causing it to fail.
Ok now please for fuck sake Larry please please avoid commenting on medical stuff you don't know one thing about. If you'd stopped with Toaster when you admitted you might be wrong instead of doubling down looking that much more stupid, I wouldn't have had to take time away from the UFC prelims to respond and correct your statements.
