I'm actually opposed to gay marriage. I think it leads to a lot of problems. I'm also opposed to straight marriage, but that's another issue.Quote:
Meanwhile he's all for gay rights and gets all pissy when the federal government wants to shut down the LGBT community on states rights issues...lol.
I already have
I had way, way too much fun smoking weed in college to ever shit on it and yet, I think recreational legalization takes a lot away from the EXPERIENCE. Legalization means no more getting chased by campus police through oncoming traffic on Massachusetts Ave while passing a joint between six heads. It means no more bausch and lamb opcon-A eyedrops (gold standard imo) before walking into class or a restaurant. It kills all the risk taking adventures and precautions one used to have to go through before ripping a bowl, which made the high all the sweeter. I could be totally wrong about all of this, but it just doesn't sit well with me that the entire process of finding a dealer and procuring whatever quality bud he gave you is going to be replaced with this sterile corporate malarky. Admittedly, my analysis would be completely different if I had ever been arrested for smoking weed in the past. That would certainly kill a lot of the romance in retrospect. Nevertheless, i'm not about that life anymore since beginning a career at one of the top investment managers in the world (they drug test).
a look inside a grow facility. At :40 "the richest and most powerful in our state all now seem to own a piece of the business."

vegas, can you sell any part of the plant to producers of hemp products after harvesting the flower?
We are supposedly close to legalization here in Canada but cops are still busting dispensaries in cities like London and Toronto.
Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months.
you fuckbois over in canada actually have a city called london? embarrassing
There's a delivery service in Boston called HighSpeed. I just bought some juice with love with bitcoin for delivery later today.

A weed grower in Canada is being sued into oblivion for using banned pesticides.
Part of the reason why we avoid using pesticides and fungicides. Its a giant issue. Because cannabis is federally illegal NO pesticides or fungicides are tested on it for tolerance levels, so it's left up to the states to decide how to handle it. It's very difficult considering there's really nothing that's considered a medicine that is both inhaled and ingested. You don't smoke strawberries, grapes or asparagus, etc...
Meanwhile though, myclobutanil is one of the most widely used fungicides in CA on grapes, asparagus and strawberries, but again, no known tolerance levels on cannabis. Unfortunately there's all sorts of gossip out there that's saying myclobutanil turns to cyanide when smoked. As far as I know there is absolutely no supporting documentation to support this, but...
http://www.alternet.org/drugs/there-...your-marijuana
Either way, I don't use it, it will stick around for years in your concentrates, and when they start testing in parts per billion instead of parts per million it's going to be game over for a lot of the good strains out there. Eagle 20 (myclobutanil) has been used for many, many years in CA. It's the only thing that eradicates powdery mildew, and everyone in CA gets powdery mildew.
"Dude! Let's get stoned and inflate our reported sales!"
P.S. It's not a Vegas company, but they did engage in some gambling of sorts.

Smoke and mirrors: Marijuana company bragged of 'bogus' sales: SEC
Meat of the story...
Quote:
Talk about "smoke" and mirrors.
Marijuana vending machine company Medbox and its founder were charged this week tricking investors by using a secret shell company to create "bogus" sales.
Medbox bragged in press releases about "record" profits and claimed to be a leader in the marijuana industry, authorities said. And in a May 2013 Bloomberg BusinessWeek article, Medbox was profiled as the marijuana vending machine company "plans to be the Walmart of weed."
In reality, nearly 90% of its quarterly revenue once stemmed from "sham transactions," according to a Securities and Exchange Commission complaint.
Yah thats MDBX. Got over to 100 on the hype a few years back. Beth Shak made a FB post about buying at 20 well after the 100 run. I commented to stay away. Hope she did. Was worthless last time I looked, well before this news.
So I forget if it was in this thread or another legal weed thread that we discussed how the Washington legal market fucked off its own tits through overregulation.
Anyway a grower dropped 4 pounds of weed off at Goodwill because there is literally no way to sell this shit profitably at this point.

In a speech today, Jeff Sessions said ,"...And I am astonished to hear people suggest that we can solve our heroin crisis by legalizing marijuana – so people can trade one life-wrecking dependency for another that’s only slightly less awful. Our nation needs to say clearly once again that using drugs will destroy your life."
That's not good.

CARSON CITY — Nevadans convicted of marijuana crimes that are no longer deemed illegal after November’s passing of Ballot Question 2 would be eligible to have those crimes wiped off their criminal records, according to a bill introduced to an Assembly committee on Tuesday.
Discussion over details re; vacate or seal towards end of article.

At the risk of extinction-level fines, jail time, loss of property and certainly loss of license. Legal weed has to be sold in a specific amount of time or its 'expired'. And what's happening in Washington, is supply is grossly eclipsing demand due to the arbitrary regulations in play.
Hey Vegas, I learned of a quick and easy way to post a opinion on NV Assembly and Senate bills.
The Opinion Poll portion of this site contains constituent opinions for the 79th (2017) Session of the Nevada Legislature. Feel free to view constituent opinions by clicking on the links above.
Throughout a legislative session, legislators review these opinions to gain perspective on how constituents in their districts feel about legislation. Constituent names, addresses and other personal information are NOT made public, but are available to legislators so that they will know who is submitting the comment and are able to contact the constituent if they so desire. Only opinion totals and comments are made publicly available on this site.
Thank you for participating in your government.

let me know of any pro mj bills or if mj biz has a stance on Assembly Bill 259 as described in my above post. Consider how including this info in emails to fellow business peeps and outreach beyond that could be helpful in letting Carson City know where the majority stand. I learned of this site through the push to reinstate net metering for solar panel owners and I've submitted 2 responses for Senate Bill 270.

Wv Senate passed a medicinal marijuana bill 28-6 and the house passed it the first reading 54-40. Just waiting for Monday to see what some delegates will try to do. Repulicans have tried to kill this kind of bill every time so far and have been successful, but now there is alot of support for it fromboth sides.
Then I listen to the radio this morning and some replican delegate says they don't want to do anything until the FDA and DEA approve. The host then asked the main reason and the guy says " one major problem is that doctors don't know how much THC to prescribe people " I wanted to band my head against my window. Like you don't just prescribe THC.
Funny thing is the host said you don't have to prescribe a certain amount because it's not like pain pills where you can overdose and the guy had zero response.

republican attempt to kill the bill since its so far from what was approved 28-6 by the senate. I dont like it, but its a step in the right direction.
The bureau would regulate medical cannabis in the state, review physician applications, issue permits to growers, dispensaries and processors, maintain an electronic database to include “activities and information relating to medical cannabis organizations certifications and identification cards issued, practitioner registration and electronic tracking of all medical cannabis,” and maintain a directory of patients and caregivers to whom it has issued ID cards. It would also develop a four-hour training course for healthcare providers, establish a program to conduct medical research, and develop enforcement procedures, including inspections of growers, processors and dispensaries, according to the bill. It would also have the ability to cap prices.
Also according to the bill, medical cannabis may only be dispensed by pill, oil, topical forms, vaporization or nebulization, tincture, liquid, or dermal patch.
wwwowwwwwwwwwww... meanwhile, oxies are the new tylenol.
Bill passed in the Senate. I didn't know there was a stipulation where if leaf marijuana was found to have medicinal value it would be added which will undoubtedly happen.
Vegas has it easy. Here is the shit I have to deal with. One of the county board members literally wants to throw me in jail. LOL. Check out all the killer flower on our shelves!

LoL at the old curmudgeons pretending to understand whats going on there. Trying to stop stores from opening in reasonable venues seems pointless and a waste of time and to not allow new ones seems unfair, I doubt they could put you in jail for a bylaw infraction may get a hefty fine. hopefully the cops realize they have more important things to do than harass the happy bud seller.
kind of the same thing is happening here (Vancouver) were there are many stores open with in blocks of each other all illegal but cops don't seem to care as long as no crime or underage patrons.
they don't ask for DR's note but will qualify you in a few short questions. "feeling a bit of arthritis" is all i needed to say.
good luck! nice shop and product...hope it all works out.
It was taken out and I didn't realize they tried to include it, but these cracka ass mutha fuckas tried to get your gun rights taken away if you had a medical marijuana card. Mark ass honkey bitch made cuck mutha fuckas
