Apparently you are not watching this morning, this Judge just allowed the State to add new lesser charges for the Jury to consider him guilty of. And are still debating more. Kind of late in the trial wouldn't you think, and most of them consist of a sentence of 10+ years. Including I believe a lesser 3rd degree manslaughter charge as well as child abuse. Really judge, child abuse. You have to be fn joking.

She is literally handing the State everything necessary to find him guilty of something. Seeing as how the State (FL lol) once again made a mess of another high profile public trial, she is now allowing them so many outs. Unfortunately for Zimmerman, he probably walks on the original charges, but now these lesser charges he most likely will be found guilty of.

Sick slowroll by the State, the Defense does not stand a chance with this judge. She will do everything in her power to have him found guilty of something.

George Zimmerman has continually made bad decisions. Arrests for resisting an officer with violence, accusations of domestic violence, lying about his funds, ignoring the 911 operator and further instigating the situation.

If you think George Zimmerman is beyond reproach, maybe you should reevaluate your ability to read people.

The "mma position" or "mma techniques" thing is a bit tilting. MMA matches are fights, and the positions that work in MMA fights also work in real fights, because MMA fights ARE real fights. Raining blows down from the mount has existed forever, I'd imagine. Calling it an mma position just attaches the mma label to yet another unsavory situation when it is really just an insanely common schoolyard fighting position, and has been for a lot longer than MMA has been around for.

I'd argue that for an average amateur involved in a "real" fight, that it is wise to avoid any sort of grappling position. Simply keeping the head as far away from the ground as possible is a good idea.

I agree it is dumb to use the mma label. They might as well also say: "Trayvon jumped Zimmerman with the quickness of a Derrick Rose nba spin move."

I am really starting to hate Facebook and Twitter. It brings out incredible stupidity in people I thought to be somewhat intelligent, and even worse with people who were questionably intelligent to begin with.

Really depressing knowing there are so many fucking idiots out there.

It's also truly pathetic to see so many people judge something based on the color of someones skin and not by the actual facts of this case.

Was watching some of the trial today and the prosecution keeps stating that Zimmerman's weight was a key reason Trayvon would be unable to overpower Zimmerman. They have Zimmerman weighing 204 pounds while Trayvon weighs 150 pounds. Am I missing something? Didn't Zimmerman gain his weight while in jail?

I haven't given one shit about this case but do you really think that there is much of a difference between 194 and 204 lbs vs someone who weighs 150?

Dude is 5'7". He still doesn't look anywhere near 190. 180 I would believe. His current weight is obv 200+.

No, as far as their confrontation is concerned I don't think that 10lb difference means a thing, but that's not the point. This is just another exaggeration/lie in a big pile of bullshit that the prosecution has put out there, and in a case like this you would just like to think that the state would hold true to their morals and not do this kind of shit to gain an advantage, especially with all the racial tension attached to it.

According to his trainer he started the MMA training to lose weight. He also said he had very little muscle and was very "soft". With his build and height 194 is definitely overweight. Not saying he was obese or close to it, but with very little muscle 194 is 30lbs too much.

Back to the comment about the difference between 204lbs and 194lbs not meaning anything, IMO it means nothing because Zimmerman has been pretty much proven to be a wimp. His trainer said he was just starting to learn how to throw a punch when this all went down. Had he been a guy that knew how to fight and been athletic, the 30-40 lbs he had on Trayvon might have meant something, but when a 6' tall 150-160 athletic 17 year old, who apparently had been in a lot of fights and also played contact sports, takes on a doughy 5'8" wuss, that weight difference means nothing. I'm taking Trayvon there all day. No doubt in my mind he handled Zimmerman with no problem.

IMO this kid made a terrible decision to beat the shit out of the "creepy ass cracker" who was following him, and it cost him his life. Do I think Zimmerman was in the wrong and probably told some of the lies the prosecution accused him of while telling the tale of the lead up to the confrontation to make himself look better? Yes. Not sure if that is enough to convict him of manslaughter, we'll see, but I also believe every word of how he took a beating at the hands of this kid and feared for his life.
