Now this sounds more like PFA
Canadian skier David Duncan, his wife, Maja Margrethe Duncan, and trainer William Ryan Raine spent Friday night behind bars, accused of stealing a car during the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea
Don't look now but Russia & Germany tied 1-1 after 2 periods in the hockey gold medal game.
I'm cheering for a Germany win in a shootout.
2 goals apiece in rapid succession in the 3rd, that is crazy.
It's a complete fucking farce that Russia was supposedly banned from the Olympics because of their whole program being one big drugfest and now here they are in the goal medal match of one of the premier events in the Winter Games. It's as stupid as the NCAA "vacating" titles when everyone knows who won. If they're banned they shouldn't be there.
That had to be the most ridiculously entertaining 3rd period of a gold medal game in Olympic hockey history.
I had to open another bottle of wine.
Russia wins in OT but I was entertained & that's all that counts.
I can't help myself, gotta share craziest hockey game I've ever seen (was lucky enough to witness it in person)
This was the 2009 NCAA National Championship
Boston University vs Miami (Ohio obviously)
Disclaimer:
- Not the Olympics
- I am a kind of proud BU Alum
+With about 4 minutes left in the game BU is down 3-1
+Over next 4 minutes BU goal keeper hauls ass on and off the ice 4 or 5 times
+59.5 seconds left, BU makes it 3-2
+17.9 seconds left, BU makes it 3-3
+ BU wins less than 2 minutes into sudden death OT

Fun Fact: In early 2000s (2002 - 2007) Boston University and Boston College were trying really hard to convince ESPN to promote College Hockey.
ESPN was very hesitant because of the well known chants: any BC home game against BU you'd hear "Sucks to BE YOU" over and over for the entire game.
Any BU Home Games vs BC you'd hear "Fuck em up, Fuck em up BC Sucks!" over and over and over....
So both schools administration convinced ESPN that they somehow had the power to control what 30,000+ college would or would not chant in a giant arena while they were being broadcast live on national TV.
The first game ESPN hyped up, BU and BC students decided to work together and rather than insult each other, they just chanted "FUCK FUCK SHIT BITCH FUCK" over and over for the entire game. It was truly beautiful.

right on queue.
Wow, this shit is really nothing new.
Russia has a long history of undertaking such “active measures” against the Olympic Games, noted Thomas Rid, a professor of strategic studies at Johns Hopkins University. During the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, Soviet intelligence released fake Ku Klux Klan leaflets threatening violence against African athletes as part of an effort to embarrass the United States, he said. That year, the Soviets led a 14-nation boycott of the Games in retaliation for a U.S. boycott of the 1980 Summer Games in Moscow, which was prompted by the Soviets’ 1979 invasion of Afghanistan.
