What Would Druff Do? - Arby's Edition

Arbys is the only fast food restaurant where I received food that was not even edible & that was eating in the restaurant & not take out.

My wife has some hang-up & will not eat at any McDonald's, no matter what, even though she can't tell we exactly why but she's tried to get me to return to the same Arbys that we'd been to several times & where we had the terrible meal until I remind her of that experience & we go end up going somewhere else.

It's actually kinda bizarre but she is a woman so that would probably explain it.

forget where i left off in this thread but basically called the GM and the whole time all he did was make excuses and try to minimize what happened

not one fucking time did he say sorry or try to make things right

i eventually told him that i would be stopping by so make sure his people know to give me my money BACK

i think the next day i went in and the counter person immediately recognized me and gave me my money BACK

she said the GM Larry was actually in the back if i wanted to talk to him. i said yes, and also asked where no one else could hear if the order was actually in their system

she told me they did actually find it

and larry's dork middle aged ass came out and did the exact same thing he did on the phone. make excuses, minimize what happened, and at no time did he express any empathy, apologize, or try to make things right

i expressed these feelings to the 50 year old virgin, and asked him how he got his job as a general manager being so incompetent, in front of his employees. they all clearly enjoyed me talking shit to him, they are NOT fans of his.

i asked him if the location was corporate owned or a franchise and he gave me the number to the office which owned this group of locations

i was going to call but i just don't care enough to get a 50 year old virgin fired from his $35k/yr job

at the end of the day his life already sucks enough and i prolly deserve to be punished for ordering arby's 15 minutes before they closed on memorial day

Since it's a franchise, you made the right move anyway.

They aren't going to give a shit. Franchised locations rarely give a shit about service, quality, or repeat business, even though they should.

When I find out something is a franchise, that's basically when I'm done complaining and I simply just don't return in the future.

Enough already. U bought cheap food and are complaining that one of the teenage and/or vastly underpaid worker tried something foolsh...

It could happen on any day in any restaurant..

So he easily makes between $60,000 - $70,000. They probably give him a company car as well as he needs to drive store to store. As far as being punished, yeah you did make a violation going to a fast food place right before closing. But not for the reasons you think. The teenager putting your food together was no doubt picking at his greasy zits after a few hours on the job in a heated grease pit. He likely was also wiping his mouth as well and picking his nose. The odds of him putting gloves on that late is like 5%. You only ever go to a fast food place in peak hours, never at a period where they willfully break food handling policies.

By the way, I used to deliver pizzas for Dominos in college for like 3 years. The regional manager of like 8 stores had a company car and lived in a nice house when he held a crew party one night for all drivers. They actually closed the area Dominos at 9pm Sunday night to have it. They had enough alcohol there for a frat party, which I thought was weird since we were all drivers. My point is he looked like a guy earning a good living, nice house, decent wife, etc... Not a 50 year old virgin.
