Conor getting jacked
Im getting in medium action on RDA at +120 and Im going to go balls deep if the micks stack up on Conor in the final stretch.
In other news, you should take a hard look at Bisping against Silva if you want to sweat a live dog. Line already moved from +250 to +235 but I think a lot of people are going to pile onto Silva at -310'ish because they think its safe & easy money. Pre USADA, pre crippling injury, pre KO sure I guess, why not, but Bisping is a pressure fighter on his home turf facing a counter puncher freshly ex-juicer in the twilight of his career. Fuck Bisping to pieces but I think he binks a majority decision here.
I was surprised at the amount of heads on here who put big money on Aldo to beat McGregor last time. Aldo was shit scared going into that fight, even Joe Rogan said he looked nervous as fuck and that one side of his body looked bigger than the other. RDA may well also be juiced up, and fancy his chances better than Aldo, but will most likely still get KO'd when he comes in swinging wildly and walks straight into that left hand.
McGregor has such a strong focus and vision of how things will go down, and trains just as hard - if not more so - than the rest, not to mention he's being trained in movement and jiu jitsu by some of the best guys; he firmly believes he's going to win and knows how to do it, whereas RDA likely has niggling doubts in the back of his mind just like all of McGregor's previous opponents who got KO'd.
Ok it really sounds like youre just basing that entire perspective on Joe Rogan sound bytes. Joe Rogan is literally going senile on real time and his aspie fascination with McGregor has a horizon that ends at the last promotional video.
Watch McGregor's fight with Mendes. Mendes fucking styled on him. Mendes isnt even that good and had like 2 weeks notice. That was the fight immediately proceeding the flash KO of an old and declining Aldo. I didnt like the Aldo bets either but you know who did? A fucking ton of people who bet for a living. So just because I didnt have faith in Aldo doesnt mean I was right, it just means I was on the right side of the pitchfork, because I have never in my life seen a fight end with the first punch where it meant anything significant.
RDA is going to beast mode Conor the same way he beast mode'd Pettis and Cowboy. Conor can totally still land a Magic Punch because thats part of his arsenal, but dont mistake that for some mystical capacity for game planning and oh my god please PLEASE never again say that Conor's jitz training makes him somehow relevant on the ground. Where was Conor's training 8 months ago when Mendes fucked him up with total impunity from top position until he basically gassed from it?
Conor should be +260 against RDA. He's not because career mouth pieces like Rogan convince people he's some sort of mensa to sell tickets. Just like Rogan did with Ronda. And Silva. See a pattern?
+260 doesnt mean he cant win. It means RDA gets caught about 30% of the time or whatever. And thats just about right.
The Mendes fight looked closer than it really was, because every blow McGregor landed had power unlike the relatively tame shots received. He was comfortable being taken down and got a cut on his eye from an elbow but wasn't hurt, and Mendes couldn't find a way to do any serious damage, instead Mendes got tired and wounded from McGregor's counter elbows.
If RDA is smart he'll go for takedowns/submission and try to grind the fight to a decision, but he's used to standing close and pressuring fighters who haven't got the precision and power that McGregor does.
Should be an interesting fight, and I hope it goes the distance, but most likely will be another first round KO.
Reem extended the ole contract.
Reem didn't extend, he fought out his contract and became a free agent, then resigned. With Bellaforce around, that's a pretty big difference.

Well well well, Rousey crying again.
While we all wait for the next hammerhouse early casualty, look who's back in the Bellator fold again! Put away your lawsuits, grab your huge chain, and howl like a werewolf, Quentin Jackson is back!

^^^- If he wants to be as much of a headliner he can be then Bellator is Rampage place.
If anyone cares Rampage spends a lot of time on his twitch channel sometimes playing the UFC game but some other type of games too:

As for Rousey I'm tired of seeing her cry too but when you put your life into something and come up short when everyone had you on this pedestal thinking you couldn't lose it's got to be rough. She will become a more humble / level headed person from that loss but the fact is she got completely rocked and outclassed vs. Holm and unless she works on several things in her style this could repeat itself.
The part that should scare Ronda the most is Holm blocked Rousey from tossing her to the ground and I think Ronda must get Holly to the mat in order to win.
The shot rattled Ronda for sure (not sure if she was out on her feet tho).
Ronda was never punched like that in a MMA fight before. Rousey definitely went into panic, reckless aggression mode knowing she didn't want to take any more punches like that which ended up being her demise.
Ufc Fight Night 84: Battle Lines
I usually don't like these pre-game hype movies, but this one was an exception. Behind the scenes of Silva & Bisping's camps:

Sooooo apparently BJ Penn is a coke addict rapist.
Original tweets:

Some nice corollary/anecdotal evidence gets addressed:

And just when people thought this might all be total bullshit, charges got filed:

Amber Paxton is her "stage name" FYI
Ya Left out the part where Dana White just killed any chance BJ has of ever getting back in the cage
"UFC is aware of the recent allegations made against B.J. Penn. The organization requires all athletes who compete in the UFC to act in an ethical and responsible manner, as detailed in the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy. UFC will not tolerate violations of the policy. Every athlete is deserving of proper review and this situation, as with any serious allegation, will be investigated by an independent party and thoroughly reviewed by the UFC. The UFC organization will also cooperate with any law enforcement investigation. In light of the serious allegations, UFC has postponed plans to book Penn for an upcoming bout until more details are determined.
UFC holds athletes who compete in the organization to the highest standard and will continue to take appropriate action, if and when warranted. It is important to note that Penn is considered innocent until proven guilty and UFC is not prejudging this matter."
The last sentence was added as a CYA in case its all a ploy to get BJ to settle monetarily but since this went all criminal and shit guessing its likely a done deal.. This isn't the same as crashing your car into somebody at 3am in New Mexico while the champ and basically face of the promotion.
Yeah that just happened earlier today. He actually leaves the door open for BJ to return if the case more or less evaporates. Shout out to Phil Davis, Jon Jones, etc.
Assuming Jones beats DC of which I'm pretty sure we all assume he likely will, as he did before. Am I the only one, that wants to see Jones just move up to Heavyweight and finally take control of the crown jewel weight class of any organization, and bring some stability.. Jesus the UFC hasn't had a true beast in the HW division in a LOOOONG time and with his reach advantage and no need to cut weight (he could easily carry 250 on his large frame) I think Jones could crush the division as the top champ (assuming he leaves the coke and the alchy alone) just like he did as the LHW division before being stripped of the belt for stupidity.
I think Jones is pretty committed to going to HW after he beats DC but in fairness I'm not 100% sure I didnt just dream that.
Posted this in the wagering thread but it probably belongs here. So much action has come in fading Kimbo Slice tomorrow night many books have pulled the line. It's almost like someone knows something.
Pretty much the same type of statement the UFC made in regard to Anthony Johnson, Travis Browne, THIAGO SILVA FOR GOD'S SAKE, Rampage Jackson, etc...
LOL at thinking this definitely kills BJ's time in the cage. Only if there's a conviction. Otherwise, business as usual in a few months.
"Spoke to manager at LV Sportsbook in Vegas, betting line for Kimbo Slice moved from -360 to pick today. According to book manager, 'three to four guys' walked in and bet the limit about 20 times. 'Just kept firing on the dog over and over.' For a Bellator fight, LV Sportsbook has taken in 'an unheard of amount of money' according to the manager. Another round of bets on Dada5000 by same 3-4 individuals at LV Superbook takes the Slice line back to a pick-em right now.
they also discount the possibility that kimbo got hurt in practice etc. ive seen lines take a huge beating based on one guy saying "oh yeah such and such took a weird tumble and walked away limping".
also there is little doubt in my mind at this point that kimbo will end this with a stunning one punch knockout of dada because a) 'see how legit i am? id never throw a fight!' and b) thats all he has in his tank at this point.
basically expect kabuki theater.
Hmm and so the spin from BJ begins.. Ill admit the timing is shady as fuck if BJ is right about the severance issue..
"The allegations that Pedro and his girlfriend are making against B.J. Penn simply aren’t true,” the statement reads. “Penn trusted Pedro to run his website for almost a decade and considered him family. He was fired last year for unethical behavior and was provided a severence (sic) that ended on February 16, 2016. One day later allegations appeared in a one sided Twitter rant which happen to be many months after the alleged date in question. (August of 2015). There are many holes in Pedro’s story. In the almost 15 years that Penn has been a champion fighter there has not ever been any incident or allegation in regards to his conduct with women. He is family man and father of two young daughters with a known long term girlfriend. It is unfortunate that someone that B.J. considered family is trying to extort him.”
This RDA vs McGregor fight is a perfect storm for McG. to get absolutely destroyed. RDA plans on torturing Conor in the late rounds and he can do it too. Conor's corner may be wise to stop it if a prolonged torture sesh seems inevitable. Don't let this play out like when Cain destroyed JDS, instead throw in the towel and let their cash cow escape without perma damage.
I hope Conor scores an early KO but if not......
Bet semi Large on Riggs tonight +210
Also bet Carneiro +340 and Kawajiri +280
Confidence level not too high on any of these but I see value in each.
Fox negotiating to acquire the UFC is odd.
Wow.. Cerrone's line went from like -320 to -260, which is insane because Oliveira is literally awful everyplace compared to Cerrone.
