The swcpoker thing is odd, especially since his "stepping back" was only announced via a bitcointalk post, yet the swcpoker page still prominently displays him as in the picture, including his video in the bottom left corner.
I am guessing he was inspired by Pokerstars being eligible for a NJ license because Scheinberg left, except Pokerstars only got out of that hot water when Scheinberg clearly sold the company. When Scheinberg just "quit" as CEO, nobody bought it, and NJ denied them a license.
Anyway, if he were really serious about returning to the US and facing this, he would close swcpoker immediately. Or at the very least, very publicly state that he sold it and has completely removed himself from association with it, including any kind of promotion of it. But just shutting it down would probably be better.
I think he's not ready to do that yet. It will close a chapter in his life which he very much enjoyed, and likely will never see again once it's gone.
