Are you saying they are not responsible because they are stupid for trusting a convicted Fellon with the company cash box? I don't think that is a good enough reason. There shares combined had controle of this enterprise
I thought you owned a company? This shit is on the first page...... Your the fucking retard!
Just a few questions and statements:
1. How do you know for a fact he's not happy with druff? Has he told you personally, has druff?
2. I'm not hugging his nuts here because he's on radio and I like him. Do you not think he was scammed? Do you not think he was scammed worse than anyone in this thread except for a few (pika comes to mind)?
3. What you said is that people should start looking into him, but why? He hasn't scammed, slow payed OR come to the community looking for money. This was a private matter with someone who he thought was his friend and biz partner. Should pika be questioned for not coming forward sooner? Should steve-o? Tim?
4. go fuck yourself.
This was pretty much my own thinking when I bought two shares of Project:Sep. He made it clear he was down on his luck, I enjoyed listening to the radio shows, the daily video blog eventually turning into a documentary seemed interesting when he first announced it. These, along with the sweat threads, provided every-day contact and accountability. (admittedly, the video blogs that he ended up doing were pretty uninsightful, erratic and poor quality). I liked the "community" aspect of this... the fact that he was taking questions, etc., in the sweat threads.
I always was skeptical about whether or to what extent low limit poker was actually beatable, especially by someone like him. The professed dedication challenge of beating low-to-mid limit games is something I can relate to... I've had some recent successes in similar stakes games myself. Overall it seemed like it would be a fun sweat. He obviously didn't seem like the most responsible of chaps, but I didn't take him to be a scammer. I had done a few paypal transactions with him and he always paid and was responsive to e-mails. Indeed, people here seemed to trust him... and his accountability, reachability, involvement in VPR, FLPR and joint PFA stuff meant that he wouldn't up and disappear. (I was wrong about that, obviously -- looks like he has disappeared after all).
This whole thing sucks obviously. What little faith I had (or wanted to have) in the poker playing community is pretty much gone. The $100 I lost in this (or $92 if you consider the meager "profit" distributions over the past month) is not going to break me. It's more a matter of principle. I'm disgusted.
You keep saying that like it means something. Like it's his obligation to be the forum watchdog. You're the type of person who is handed a form and when he's told to sign it, he simply does so without reading it. Then afterwards, you get pissed off at what you agreed to and blame it on somebody else because they didn't spell it out to you before you signed. All you faggots should have read BEFORE you signed, not blame others afterwards for not holding your hand for you. Pathetic.
But what is his purpose in posting his constant "hey faggot get over it" or "it's your own fault idiot" posts at this point in time.
I give him some props for harassing this thing in the earliest stages, but at the same time that time has come and gone. No reason to continue at this point.
This is not accurate. After the ironman podcast and some correspondence with Jasep where I told him I would prefer to donate directly (and get the appropriate tax receipts), I cashed out $139 from the room and Jasep sent it to me via paypal.
That doesn't explain the other missing thousands, but for the sake of trying to help identify the correct amount of missing money I figured I'd disclose that.
Anal were you tipped off or did you figure this out with out help from the "inside" before you blew this thred up?
The constant insults really degrade the value of your posts. Plus some reading comprehension skills would help you in your replies.
I'm not part of any group blaming anyone else. Most of the questioning has been trying to figure out when things happened not who to blame.
Have a good night. Log off and go watch UFC, NHL, NBA, tv, or go find a girl/guy to hang with.
The "inside" info that was given to me has not yet been revealed. As a matter of fact, those guys have yet to post itt. I think now that everyone already sees that Jasep is a thief, they don't seem to feel it necessary to speak up. It was something of a similar nature to the BAP scam. The only thing that that info told me was that Jasep was a guy who was willing to steal. If you add that to his original shady BAP rules, I thought it far more likely than not that he was scamming, and he was.
So the info you received has nothing to do with the BAP however it is info that would lead you to believe he was shady? Interesting. Too bad they hadn't alerted you to this before this whole thing started although there is about a zero percent chance anyone would have believed you. Why would they choose you?
I thought this and trying to read between the lines, it seems you are hiding some ones identity for some reason they should be thanked for what they told you...... What ever that is?
They also couldent have chosen a better person to start the raping, I guess cmoney was first.....the captain always gets in first.< hmmmm
I think a few other people know about it. I wasn't the first person they told. I think the others were just scared to speak up and be wrong because Jasep was so well liked. Obviously I didn't care because I have never liked him and they had seen me question him at an earlier point. I think they would have preferred someone who isn't known for mainly being a troll, but the others either weren't convinced Jasep was actually doing something wrong or simply didn't wanna get involved. Cmoney's post was the turning point in this thread. When he posted what he did, that's when people really started to consider something may actually be wrong.
I normally don't post, but god damn Anal_Hershiser is god.
I need to clarify something here.
I keep seeing people blame Brandon for this, and that's really bothering me.
Brandon is not deserving of any blame in this situation.
Some are asking, "Why didn't Brandon alert Druff to this situation a long time ago?"
He actually did. So did Chinamaniac.
However, the information they had back then was FAR less than what we have today.
Right when PROJEKT:SEP started (December 8), both China and Brandon explained their concerns to me.
Their concerns at the time involved the following factors:
1) Jasep's cell phone number seemed to be rapidly changing, and his reasoning behind it (he broke his iPhone) did not seem to make sense.
2) Jasep gave up his own place and claimed he moved in with his girlfriend.
3) Jasep was being evasive regarding transferring control of VPR's finances to Chinamaiac.
We spoke about this on the phone, and concluded that Jasep was likely broke. We felt that he had to give up his place because he could no longer afford it, and maybe even sold his iPhone and got some cheapo phone in order to save money.
However, he had already admitted to basically being broke in both the original post of this thread, as well as his own radio show. PROJEKT:SEP seemed to be a last-ditch attempt at building a bankroll, basically starting from nothing. We thought all of the investors understood that, so we didn't see the value of humiliating Jasep with revealing the fact that he was so broke that he had to give up his place and his phone. And again, we didn't have proof of this. Jasep claimed that his phone was simply in the process of being replaced, and that he moved in with his girlfriend because their relationship had progressed to more serious. If we had publicly accused him of being flat broke, he could have easily made excuses that we wouldn't have been able to disprove, and we would have looked like assholes.
Regarding VPR, again that was a red flag, but they did not have any proof that he had done anything wrong. Until it became VERY clear that he was intentionally dodging visibility into the finances, Brandon and China would have looked like assholes accusing him of anything. Indeed, he did most of the work on VPR, so it wasn't outrageous to believe he would have taken control of the finances, even if that wasn't the original agreement.
We all agreed that we simply did not have enough evidence to make such grave accusations against him, and that quietly investigating it behind the scenes was the better play. All of the "gotcha" evidence came to light very recently. That's what led us to come forward with what we knew.
Furthermore, it appeared that the money was already collected. If it was a scam, the money was likely gone. If it was not a scam, it would still be there. There didn't seem to be much in between. We did not know at the time about the "double selling", which didn't seem possible because everyone knew who had bought pieces (or so we thought). This also contributed to our decision to keep quiet until we had conclusive evidence that we could feel comfortable presenting. Remember, these were serious allegations that would likely damage his name forever, so we didn't want to take public accusations lightly.
So please do not blame Brandon for this. It was a joint decision to investigate quietly and wait until we really had the proper amount of evidence to come forward and accuse him of being a scammer.
At the time PROJEKT:SEP started, we did NOT know any of the following:
- That Jasep had an identity theft conviction where the mother of his daughter was the victim
- That there was any reason to believe he had ripped off the 22Q foundation
- That he had double-sold any shares
- That the VPR server was $4.95/month and being reported as $120/month
- That he he was secretly trying to sell VPR behind the scenes
- That he would react with such panic when someone would attempt to come watch him play
- That his prior "restaurant ownership" appears to be simply working at his brother's restaurnts
- That he had been surviving off of borrowing from friends like Tim Byrd for quite some time
These are all things that came out recently.
In hindsight, it is easy to say, "You should have said something earlier" (knowing now that he was guilty), but that decision was much tougher when it was just a moderate suspicion based on very circumstantial evidence.
Finally, what about Brandon's $600? Should he have mentioned that it was simply passing a debt into shares? Perhaps, but this is the sort of thing you only think about after-the-fact. I guarantee that Brandon was not trying to cover anything up or freeroll off of other people's cash. He just figured it was an automatic that, if Jasep transfers debt into BAP shares, Brandon can take credit for having $600 in BAP shares. Brandon never vouched for this BAP or encouraged people to invest in it. His investment in it should not automatically be considered an endorsement. Furthermore, having $4400 in cash and $5000 in cash is basically the same thing in a BAP like this. It's not like it made a major difference in the amount of money he had to play with. Also, since its likely he barely played at all, but rather stole all of the money, this likely had zero impact on the final result.
I hope that the blame against people other than Jasep can end, and we can move on trying to track him down and force him to deal with this situation.
Druff I agree with your post (more now than I did originally)....
EXCEPT for the people who got screwed buying shares when Jasep re-released shares since some people were canceling. Had the info came out sooner you could have saved some money there.
Also note quit writing defensive posts, it comes off as you having some guilt
That Jewdonk wannabe!
Assuming that phone number is long DD.
Also, still pointed to that $4.95/month server!
Also I thought Johnny worked in the restaurant biz prior to poker?
Verizon...come on man!
