If your card does not include the Cubs somehow you just don't like money.
Another good night

Utah St -9.5 Friday Night
From what I've seen of the LA Rams tonight they will be lucky to win 3 games this year.
Even as a niners fan I think I picked the Rams to win in a pick all wins pool that I'm in. I may have picked the niners, don't remember because I really didn't give a shit. Low expectations so for me they looked fucking fantastic.
NaVorro Bowman is legitimately badass, one of the top guys in the NFL at his position. This defense may be for real. However, if you recall the first game of last year they trounced the Vikings 20-3. I got all excited about that game, because it appeared that they were coming out swinging and they would dominate/make life very difficult for the NFC West.
Sadly the game was actually an anomaly as they went on to lose the next four games and finished the season at 5-11. At this point I am a little bit pumped that they looked that good but it does look like the Rams really are that fucking terrible. Like the great Wolf said let's not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet. Let's see how they do against some real teams first, then we can sick each other's dicks. Or whatever
Its funny, I have been thinking about the NE win, and now last nights action. Historically well run organizations seem to win in this league despite QB issues, etc.. The Rams have always been a cluster fuck, Washington OBV the same. Pittsburgh has been steady for a long time. SF has had its issues, but compared to the Rams, SF looks like GE. NE obv. a great organization, AZ good as well, but NE better.
Anyway NFL not my betting sport, but Drexel's big score just has me thinking. I think I may test out the thesis as one big factor this season that the better organizations win or at least cover the spread!
I haven't watched any football really. If you are in NE every time you turn on the radio all you hear is deflategate. I refuse to play that game. Click.
So having tuned out the NFL, I was blown away when I saw Chip Kelly on the SF sideline. The most fun I had watching football recently was Chip Kelly and Oregon. I got a kick knowing Belichick & Kelly swapped spit about hurry up offense and other developments in the game.
Is SF a better organization? From 2000 miles away they looked like a clusterfuck. Wish Kelly well though. We will see.
Anyway, I really don't see myself following the circus earnestly until baseball is over and I have no options.
Saw a bit of Goodell with the latest concussion story put on by NBC & that prize winning journalist Matt Lauer. My wife looked at Goodell and said that guy doesn't look well. Hmmm. Death would suit that guy.
Anyone do DFS on yahoo/DK/FD? Thinking about throwing some money down and was wondering which one is the best bang for the buck/need some hot picks-
The highlight of the game.....the fan that ran on the field, and Harlan giving the play by play.....

Got a dick in my ass last night with two of the three picks.
Wash/NY scored 9 in the first 4 innings, and none the the rest of the way, to lose by 0.5. Both teams left a ton of runners in scoring position during these innings.
Col fell behind 5-0, then raged ahead 9-6 late in the game, only to give up 6 more and lose 12-9.
Philly +125 won easily. Definitely my best team to handicap this year.
:fail
Okay, let's give this another shot. I'm the first to admit when my picks suck, but I honestly ran awful last night... should have won at least 2 of 3.
Philadelphia (Asher) +138 vs. Pittsburgh (Nova)
Pirates are missing both Josh Harrison (out for season) and Starling Marte, and the team has been in a shame spiral as of late. I like the Phillies at home behind a rookie pitcher who had a great first outing, for this price.
So let's talk Rams...
Is there value in the unders with this team?
The offense looked dreadful, and the defense, while not particularly good on Monday night, is said to be at least decent.
If the Rams keep having trouble scoring, perhaps some unders might be in order until the books catch on?
They went under like 11 times out of 16 last year too. But at some point I would expect the books to adjust. Maybe start riding it and see what happens
The defense overall is solid. The passing game blows and their coach just likes to run it 3 times and punt. Their #1 overall pick QB sucks too. Their only hope is that he picks things up
They do however have one of the best RB in the league.
Minnesota Twins K Gibson vs Detroit Tigers M Boyd 09/13/16 19:10 EDT Detroit Tigers -1.5 (+105)

Orioles (D Bundy) @ Red Sox (D Pomeranz) - Team to Score First - Listed Pitchers
Orioles vs Red Sox 09/13/16 19:10 EDT Red Sox +105
Bundy sucks. Expected better from him Like to bet over but not 10
Baltimore Orioles D Bundy vs Boston Red Sox D Pomeranz 09/13/16 19:10 EDT Boston Red Sox -1.5 (+115)
Like Toronto but enough already
So let's talk over reaction....
Recency bias is real ESP when it comes to the NFL. Every year some team shits it's pants in week one and makes the playoffs and some team looks great and is picking in the top ten of the draft.
My advice is to not bet a lot on NFL sides. It's like trying to beat Goldman Sacks in a stock picking contest. And if there was ever any one week to lay off NFL it's week 2. More money will be lost in week two because "I saw X y and Z happen last week" then any other week of the season. It's like an annual passage.
Lines that make you go hmmmmm (betting all them, hopefully against the public on all those lines)
Bears -3
Vikings +3
Cards -6.5
Then cause those fuckers wrecked me last week
Browns +7
I can't tell you what to do but I can definitely tell you not to bet on a team in a knockout pool when they're playing NE. Admit it, some of you tried to save Seattle for a later date and thought Arizona was a lock with no Brady, Gronk, and both tackles.
Make that 3 dicks in the ass in a row.
In addition to the two last night, I had a +135 Phillies bet go up in smoke when a 3-2 9th inning lead got destroyed by a Sean Rodriguez 3-run HR.
Closer Jeanmar Gomez has been very good this year for the Phils, but not tonight.
Running pretty bad.
