nova down 9, 15-6, 1145 to go in the first...firing nova -7...steep discount to the game line of -16...
More
Brooklyn under 211 -113 (210.5 ok)
Lakers under 207.5
Lakers +5 -105 (you can get +5.5 -115 on some Bovada accounts)
not a fan in the double digits...PROV best player on bench with 2 fouls, don't think he'll be back this half...NOVA started shooting cold like last game against UCONN...expecting them to pull it back to at least even by half as shooting has started to normalize...
EDIT: LOL as soon as I post that cooley puts cartwright back in with 6 to go in the half because their offense has been shit...
you watch every game of a team for 20+ years you start to get a feeling for what they are doing on any given night...PROV is a very solid team, but you give me a cold shooting start at home for NOVA and ill lay 7 with 30 to go every single time...would never think of pulling this kinda wager on the road...
Providence 2h +7.5 for the middle one time?
Sac under not quite starting the way I had hoped, though it's by no means dead. Just on pace to lose right now.
George Hill is being held out because they're shipping him to the Cavs (or at least they're trying), and Zach Randolph is out. While they lose somewhat on defense with these absences, I felt the offense loss was going to be greater, thus that was part of the reason for this under. Randolph's age has hurt him defensively.
Main reason for this Sac pick is the two teams playing, though.
These are two bad teams which will tend to only score a lot of points when placed with a fast-paced opponent. (There were other significant factors for this pick which I won't post here.)
The first half was mediocre and it's a toss-up right now, especially being close. But there's a second half yet to be played, and these two teams are ripe for a scoring drought.
Regarding 5Dimes, they will catch every single grossly misset line, won't pay you, and will unabashedly ban your account.
They are very obsessed with punishing people who do that.
You really, really shouldn't try that again.
So far both games running are losing, though both have a chance.
The Brooklyn pick was the one I was least excited about, and wavered whether to make it or not, barely falling on the side of doing it. I would take it back now if I could.
Sac under wins and not even that close.
Brooklyn a toss-up at halftime
Just about ready to concede Brooklyn pick.
Go Lakers
Kuzma is in worse shape than expected. So that kinda sucks.
Under killing it so far, though.
Back on track with a 2-0 night, though it took until the last 10 seconds to get that 9th board. Now at 16-5.
A bonus win for jsearles with the Love rebound prop miscommunication.
Warriors 2-13 on threes to start and only down 5. The benefit of playing the Knicks, I guess.
Bad 2Q changes under from virtual lock to a moderate fave in lakers game.
Side on pace to lose but anything can happen.
183 points in quarters 2 through 4 killed the Lakers under, which had just 36 points in the first. That was ugly.
Lakers did come back to win
:outright
2-2 day
Record now 133-95-3
goddamn I love adam silver...only commish who has the balls to want to legalize sports gambling AND make sure the league profits from it...THIS guy should be making $40M a year, not fucking goodell...
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...lized-wagering
Lol NBA. I agree with you about Silver though. But 1% just snaps me out.
Integrity fee? NBA? I see you smile. How’s my referee and Donaghy’s phone pal, Foster? What game is he doing tonight? NBA was on this.
Oh, NBA will start with integrity now if you pay them?
We looking at 20 cent lines? And taxes too? This is exactly the type of fucked up light regulation that made legalized poker great. I will bet exactly whatever I wish without players’ or leagues’ assistance. Do not accept this shit. If Silver is offering 1% maybe maybe maybe you counter with 0.25% and suggest he take it.
More lol NBA. Cavaliers -125 and the Celtics +400 to take the East? LeBron like +125 for league MVP as a Cavalier? I haven’t checked numbers but I’m in the neighborhood. Celts Kyrie is worth a bet.
Cavaliers are 11-35 ATS. If you bet $100 on every Cavalier’s game you are -$2600. The NBA bettors are some of the dumbest but I just can’t watch.
The NBA has more oddities and associated weirdness than any other sport. The books caught them before and the free market doesn’t need to pay the fox to watch the chicken coop
I feel better. Or is it bettor?
Listening to a great conversation about Super Bowl Vegas rollers taking marker money and walking over to sports book. They want you to play the pit not the sports book and the hosts try to corral the players.
he could be like, 'well give us 1% or we're gonna stonewall this shit until hell freezes over'...I agree with LOL integrity fee, but hell I love the idea of monetizing it...
20 cent lines? degens gonna degen, san...what kinda lines you think youre gonna get at those kiosks at the stadium? probably lucky to get -120...
I wish I could work for silver...I mean while all the other leagues have their heads buried in the sand (LOL @ the NFL saying people watch the games to watch the games), he at least acknowledges people like to fucking fire...add SVP to that list too...ignoring shit doesn't mean it doesn't happen...
The court ruling will have nothing to do with league approval. It will be the justices laying the wood to Federal vs States rights. Currently PASPA is a federal law that requires state enforcement and the Supreme Court is addressing that nonsense. It really isn’t about gambling imo.
I could be wrong but ....
Kiosks at stadium, really haven’t thought about that but jam the convenience fee in the form of bad juice. Do it. It’s a free country (I wish). But charge the stupid juice because you can not because you have costs to overcome
My issue with costs driving 20 centines is that legalized wagering will kill the free ride we have with off shore. I just can’t get tangled up with Vinny at the end of the bar of Applebys.
aight a few pages back I posted about some NOVA bets I was thinking about making in February....gonna put these bets on hold because just found out that NOVAs starting SG (phil booth) broke a bone in his hand in the PROV game last night...hes out indefinitely...rumor has it it could be 3-5 weeks, but it is unknown at this point...that is a huge loss since NOVA isn't that deep and booth is just so damn steady...fucking blows because I think we had a shot to make some money, but have a feeling we're not gonna get the lines I wanted for these bets...will obviously watch the games up to those games I was thinking about firing on, but for now it's a no go...
true, but think it helps gambling's cause if the leagues aren't trying to be a pain in the ass and impede the whole process...
would be interesting to see if offshores kept 10 cent lines or moved them...guessing they'd probably move them as well...fuck this legalization shit...haha...
yeah would be interesting...obviously business would flow their way with the better pricing, but would that extra 5-10 cents be too much to pass up?
the shitty casino company I used to work for could never pass up that kinda premium even if it meant reduced business...
Based on my understanding of the hold percentage and overall profitability of sportsbooks, I can't see the sports betting industry ever agreeing to give up a flat 1% of the bets placed as that would eat up a lot of their profits. Maybe a percentage of actual profits, but seems like advertising deals would be more likely--having signage at the arenas, maybe videos on the jumbotron during games, other sponsorship opportunities I'm not going to list out, etc. I'd be shocked if we got to the point of having betting kiosks/windows in arenas any time soon.
And I agree, the legalization of full sports betting doesn't need the support of the leagues, but I think it makes things a hell of a lot easier for the gaming industry if the leagues are not actively fighting it.
agree KP, the margins are shit...wonder if the books just add a 1% "convenience fee" on top of all NBA wagers that customers have to pay to bet on the NBA and that money just flows straight to the league...
NBA underdogs on a 17-0 run. Might never been seen again.
NBA early (more later?)
Detroit under 199.5
Boston under 217 (216.5 ok)
1% to the league....
I have never once used this in my PFA posting carear and I'm glad I saved it
:lol2
