I don't usually go in for sweets and not really for any health nut reasons, I just sort of lost a liking for it since childhood. Probably traded sweets for salt, which is probably why I like to occasionally eat godiva salted caramel but I can honestly say I never really liked any cake.

After reading vegas' post on the pan searing the steak I thought I would go back to that method as I have been mostly broiling and baking meats etc.. over the past year. This meal costs about $10 FWIW
1. Sweet Potato- Poke about 10 holes in it with a small knife and put it in the microwave for 7 minutes. It comes out perfect

2. Dice Mushrooms and Peppers , heat up pan with some light butter and saute

3. Spray Pam in the pan the steak will be cooked in. Season the steak with sea salt, pepper and some garlic powder and put the heat on about 75 %

4. After you get a decent char on both sides of steak you can move the process a little faster by covering the steak pan with the veggie pan and steaming the steak

5. Remove steak from pan and cut it open and see that is rare to medium rare (how I intended it to be) and gloat about how hard you just crushed this

you are god, but I recommend cooking sweet potatoes in the oven - they come out much sweeter imo. To cut down on the time, sometimes i cook it for 2 mins or so in the microwave, but then put it in the oven for a long bake. Try it this way and compare. I can really tell a difference in taste between microwave+oven for sweet potatoes specifically.
