0-2 today. Phoenix got destroyed. Minnesota under had a bad 1st quarter, then a great 2nd, then a great first 4 minutes of the 3rd (to where the pick looked very likely to win), and then horrible from that point forward. It lost by 11.
113-87-2 is now my record. I'm mired in a 15-25 slump since December 31.
Amazingly, I even ran badly on a pick I would have made but woke up too late -- where the Knicks blew a huge lead and then lost by 5 in OT. So even when I'm oversleeping and not betting/picking, I still get unlucky in the games I would have picked! LOL
You know Belichick watched that second half and will have a solid plan how to attack the Jags defense right out of the gate. While they have been mostly good they were terrible in the second half and also shown leaks in a few other games such as letting Garrapolo destroy them a few weeks ago.
Once it gets to -10 or higher I'd probably stop but right now you have to roll with them.
So did the Vikings have to kick the extra point? Or nah?

KC earlier this year took a knee in an identical situation.

I suspect the reasoning is that in theory that if the other team were only down by 1, they could muff the snap and the other team could run it back for 2. having to take that snap is part of a touchdown in regulation, and the rules are diff in overtime.Quote:

More NBA, after a lot of analysis and thought, where I considered and rejected several possible picks.

Also, I think I will hit the Golden State under, which sits at 235 right now, but may actually get higher, so I'm waiting to bet it.
I will officially post it when I actually take it. This is one of the few bets I'm doing based upon feel alone. My usual numbers don't necessarily justify it, but I'm looking at doing the under here for two reasons:
1) 235 is an insanely high total, and if the slightest scoring drought occurs, the under will likely cover. They have to maintain almost 60 points per quarter, which is very tough when actually trying to play some D (i.e. not the all star game). Of course games do happen over 235, but to basically get a 50/50 proposition on such a total is very tempting.
2) This is an extremely high profile game for obvious reasons. I believe the teams will be coming at each other very hard, and easy baskets will not be as plentiful.
I'm not officially betting or posting it yet, but that's prob the way I'm going.
Well I fired on the Golden State under. I could have had 235 -107. By waiting I got 234.5 -110. Oops. But now it seems to be falling, so I took it.

I actually felt guilty that seemingly a lot of people followed that Golden State under bet.
I was going to watch the game anyway, but I was much more invested in that result than my Sac bet, even though I bet the same amount on both.

Glad the scoring died in the 4th and it won.
But that was kind of the point of the whole thing. A 235-point pace is just really hard to maintain. I see a line set like that, and I just want to bet under, because I'm skeptical that can be reached 50% of the time, or anywhere near it. It was irritating when they weren't playing defense for much of the game, but I knew that a few good droughts could shove the whole thing under. I wasn't too optimistic with needing a 50-point 4th in a 2-point game, but then Golden State opened it up, and shots were missing for both teams, and it was pretty much a done deal.
