Five Gaza journalists killed in Israeli strike
A Palestinian TV channel says five of its journalists have been killed in an Israeli strike in the central Gaza Strip.
They were in a Quds Today van parked outside al-Awda hospital, where the wife of one of the journalists was about to give birth, in the central Nuseirat refugee camp.
The channel posted a video of what it said was the burning vehicle with "press" signage on the back doors.
The Israeli Air Force said it had attacked "in a targeted manner and with intelligence guidance" a vehicle with Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) militants inside. It added that measures had been taken to minimise civilian casualties.

If you think PIJ is justified hiding as journalists to move around freely then that is your prerogative. But you have to understand that until the hostages are returned and a ceasefire is reached, if Israel gets intelligence on PIJ militants, they are going to liquidate them if they can. If you think The Resistance is fighting a righteous war, I am not going to argue. But at the same time you have to accept Israel doesn't have any moral obligation to let The Resistance win.

This war was a complete failure for the IDF, Netanyahu and Israel. There was two main objectives. They failed to return all the hostages and they failed at fully eliminating Hamas.
i don't think they want to fulfill them 2 objectives, because then what excuse would they have in the future to keep genociding Palestinian civilians under the guise of "going after Hamas and rescuing prisoners" ....then Israel wouldn't have a bad boogie man as an excuse to warrant their war crimes against civilians....Quote:

Hamas are more or less controlled opposition. Them "thriving" serves the Israeli right much more than the Palestinians. It gives the Israeli right an excuse to never entertain Palestinian statehood, while they slowly take over the West Bank. And the Palestinians, and more generally the Ummah, are playing Tic Tac Toe while Netanyahu is playing 4D chess, and they think Hamas thriving is actually a good thing for them.
That being said, at the end of the day Hamas, and more generally the Palestinians, have agency and are responsible for their actions. Even if they are incredibly stupid and playing right into Netanyahu's hands. They are still the ones that did 10/7, took hostages, and are ultimately responsible for everything that has happened the last year.
Also, FWIW I dont actually think Netanyahu planned 10/7. Generally, when something unexpected happens, and the 2 options for why it happened are incompetence or diabolical planning, I would always assume incompetence is the more likely scenario. But all in all, Netanyahu I would say definitely took advantage of the opportunity presented, and projecting the last year as a "Palestinian victory" is pure delusional cope.
