You would never see Trump being critical or perhaps even breathing Dick Cheney’s name. He wants to see the sunrise the next day and intuitively understands he is less powerful than Vice.

But Trump attacked Dick Cheney’s kid, GOP Congressman Liz Cheney Wyoming. Later there is the defense chiefs letter which was initiated by Dick Cheney.

Suggesting that the US should have pillaged Iraq’s oil prolly did not set well with Cheney either. There is an etiquette to discussing US oil interests in the world

Republican civil war

Talk of Cheney triggers Chamath’s observation that 150 people rule the world. It is his goal to gain entry to that club. Someday, I have to pursue that.

Remember, 10 years ago there was talk about the party imploding when the Tea Party became a big thing. Then Republicans lost 5 Senate seats they should have won due to terrible Tea Party candidates winning the primary, and that was the beginning of the end.

Now you don't even think of the Tea Party anymore. Some of that contingent converted into Trump followers, but it's not really the same thing.

In any case, I think the bigger civil war will be in the Democratic Party, between the AOC type progressives and the old school liberals. It's already stirring given the cabinet appointments which are mostly Obama-era entrenched government types.

They may wander in the wilderness for a while, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This is still seventy-five million customers. Forget voters, customers. Whatever they’re labeled, Republican or whatever.

I’m a little surprised to see companies taking these steps autonomously.

I’d expect it to be more similar to the drug companies who came out all together and said we won’t be rushed on a vaccine. That was smart. They presented a unified front which prevented Trump from vilifying one of them.

This week may bring violence and insanity that makes giving to Republicans akin to corporate suicide, but we are a long way from that if this is the only major incident.

AT&T and these other companies are probably setting up some subsidiary to donate to those same politicians under another name as we speak.

I’d love to see the GOP go up in flames and fail to exist, but it’s revenge porn atm.

It should be investigated how Trump got 75 million votes.

I believe Trump cheated but didn't cheat enough to win.

Trump is once again accusing others of shit he is guilty of.
