Wife and I went for a walk this afternoon. Bumped into a neighbor who works for Regeneron Pharmaceuticqls.

He told the story of a visiting executive in early January coming to his building. She was coughing and hacking. People are like “what the fuck”. Fresh off the plane from China.

This neighbor got sick with what was then diagnosed as pneumonia. Chest X-rays for him and his wife. Said he was never so sick in his life. Came back after the episode as only part time. Completely wrecked.

He was talking about donating plasma and all that.

I ask him, “do you think you are now immune?” He insta-responds, “No”.

He said Regeneron is working on testing etc. Lotta smart people and lots being said in the office. Based on what he hears he is resigned.

Reminds me in my early 20s when I was part of a group, circa 1999 as part of a stock club picking life investments. We'd pick penny stocks and all dream of 100% gains. I spiked a couple but most failed. I have not daytraded since, except a trade here and there.

First rule is stocks go up. When your brain says put buy a call instead. Thank me later.

Next rule is the cost of options is absolutely ridiculous now. Yolo'ing on options isn't profitable right now unless the market moves HEAVILY in your direction.


Basically you're playing 1/2 NL with $10 rake per hand. Now on the cruise ship there are a lot of donkeys so it's still maybe profitable for a week of cruising.

But for options we are the donkeys AND the rake is high. Is it beatable?

id also wager that doing absolutely no technical analysis before making contrarian trend option plays with almost no runway is not a profitable lifestyle.

Google is showing us the way. It’s a marketing/ad revenue story across the whole economy with an interesting trickle down. Ad spend is settled up months later.

Valuable lesson in knowing what your stop is before getting into a trade. Selling SPXU last week saved me a LOT of pain. It’s ok to bank a loss every now and again.

TSLA doubled in 6 weeks. $350 stock doubles - that’s somethin. Wish I didn’t have such a hard on. I’m incurable

2970ish is the 200 moving day average.

We hit that and it’s going to be time to open up shorts with a stop around 3025. This should be an end to this madness..... unless it’s not and that’s what 3025 would confirm.
