When Obama was president he ordered the DOJ to stop using private prisons to house federal inmates. Trump reversed that a month into his term. State inmates are most of the prison population and for the most part they can run their prisons how they want to. Republicans have 2/3 of the governors offices. When Democrats are in office they do something about private prisons.Quote:

Surely nobody is saying that private prisons are the reason the American justice system is racist? And the left wing argument definitely also about money.
