Not bad Tommy.

Let me get this straight before I waste my time going forward. You have DK @BCR?
I always enjoyed this first to ten wins contest. A lot.
Do you spot the Doyers 2 wins and take Mets +1000? Houston, Miami, Toronto
WWYD?
Yes I have it. I don’t use it as much. Looking over list, I didn’t go through every team. But I assume the Dodgers have 10 by 4/9 or 4/10. They have the 6 against Atlanta at home and then Philly. I will assume 3 or 4 wins there. Mets start with weak teams, but I never trust that Mets team. I think I still prefer the Dodgers +220. I’m notoriously bad at taking a macro view on the league. I don’t follow the off season much as it’s depressing as Cle fan. Like I look at each game in a standalone context. You say Boston is going to be good but they start for 6 on the road. Who should I be looking at? I only looked at Mets and Boston as you seem high on them and you aren’t some homer.
I might sprinkle some on the Giants race to 10. +5500 seems crazy high. Their first 15, all in 3s:
@CIN
@HOU
SEA
CIN
@NYY (should be 3-5 starters here)
Likely, no. But good number IMO
Pirates with a nice schedule but only +2500, and Jones elbow barking.
Probably giants for fun, dodgers with boost.
The Rockies never stop bringing the hits.
So November of 2022, a small trade was made between them and the Tribe. Kinda failed prospect Nolan Jones to CO for a younger prospect. Jones erupts in 2023, has a 20-20 season in like 100 games playing left field! Rockies actually win a trade?
Not so fast. Last year, Jones was banged up all year and regressed. So this year, Rox non-tender their previous 2B, Rodgers, to sign....Thairo Estrada. The ultimate rearranging deck chairs on Titanic move.
Well, Estrada gets hbp, and will be out for 2 months maybe. What do they do? Panic trade Jones BACK TO CLEVELAND for light hitting utility man Freeman, so he can play 2nd....for awhile.
Mind you, Jones, when right, is by far the best outfielder they Rockies had with the bat.
(The younger prospect originally sent to CLE for Jones, Juan Brito, is now a legit prospect also)
You really can't make this shit up
Wasn't a good trade, but in their defense, Jones looked really awful last year, and Jones' 2023 looked like a fluke. He had 3 HR in 256 AB, and hit .227, in 2024.
So it probably won't matter much. Jones will likely go down in history as a young guy who had one good year, and then never got it back.
I will say that, if you're the Rockies and have no chance at contending, you might as well give Jones one more year to turn things around. What do you have to lose?
Still not as bad as the Cards shipping out Tommy Edman, just because he had been injured for awhile in 2024. The Cardinals got Erick Fedde for this. Fedde had a nice 2024, but was lousy for his entire career before that, and is already off to a bad spring.
Weird and tragic story.
Miller Gardner, the 14-year-old son of former Yankees pitcher Brett Gardner, died after "falling ill during a family vacation", where several other family members got sick.

Some on Reddit suspect carbon monoxide poisoning, something which occasionally happens at foreign resorts which aren't well maintained regarding safety. Food poisoning and pesticide poisoning are other possibilities.
I’m looking to bet Ohtani does not pitch the 2025 regular season. I’ll take innings under. Anything.
No reason to pitch him with that staff. He blows out his elbow again and it’s sayonara Andrew Fraudman who has the record for injured pitchers already locked up.
Lemme know if you see anything
Willing to travel
Kristian Campbell just made the opening day roster at 2b. Roman Anthony looks like he'll begin the season in Worcester but boy does he have a sweet and effortless swing. Maybe he's not Ken Griffey Jr. 2.0 but that kid is going to be something special one day. Marcelo Mayer looks to start the season in Worcester also but he looks as good as the others. Then they have Durran, Abreau and Rafaela already in Boston. If these kids can hit this year and the pitching isn't terrible the Red Sox are about to have a great season.
Maybe I'll even pay for a ticket at Fenway this year. I've probably been there 10x since Mookie was traded but only if someone else paid for the tickets. We know how fans of the Mavs feel.
Let's hope they don't make another Jeff Bagwell type trade with one of these kids because they're only 3 games out of the 2nd wild card
I actually hope that's the case.
Look what the guy did last year. Do the Dodgers really need him to pitch and pick up an injury which knocks him out for a year-plus, and possibly leaves him unable to be the same player?
When you've got Glasnow, Snell, Yamamoto, and Sasaki, you can afford to let Ohtani just be a hitter. I was saying all last year that I don't want to see him pitch.
Meanwhile Mookie about to be IL-SuperAIDS.
Down to 157 pounds and still cant keep food down. Did they try to convert him to pitching?
Really weird.
At first I thought it was Influenza A like I had, but this is lasting too long.
It's weird that he still can't keep solid food down, and can only consume liquids without throwing it back up. Never seen that for such a length of time, from a regular viral illness.
Looks like Miguel Rojas will somehow find playing time once again.
I have demonstrated over the years that I am a certified curmudgeon with regard to home teams. I go where the story is. I love the underdogs and overachievers. Hate watch unjustified public favorites.
I’m as apt to cheer Cleveland as Orioles most years. (I have +4000 ChiSox playoffs).
You beat me to the Red Sox. This is gonna be tremendous fun and it happens to be in my back yard. MLB was close to not making the final cut with me this year - sharing room with NBA & NFL in the banned dept.
There will be no mention in Boston of Betts except to compare Betts as a prospect to the Boston kids this year. You are safe there
Opening Day!!
Some people with TDS are big mad that the Dodgers are visiting Trump.

And the Angels keep being the Angels.
They are expected to release Mickey Moniak AFTER going through arbitration with him. He won $2m in arbitration, and the Angels are going to save about $1.6m by releasing him now.

This is because Jo Adell will be getting the CF job.
He was once a #1 prospect for the Phillies, is only 26, and had an .802 OPS with 14 HR in 311 AB in 2023. He regressed in 2024, but this release is bizarre, given that the Angels aren't going anywhere. At least trade him!
@BCR
Whaddya think of Bobby Witt Jr HR tomorrow?
Max $5.
WWYD anyone else on any team? I already have Judge, Ohtani, Santander and Soto in another HR promo we covered the other day
I can’t study til tonight.
I mean he frightens me every time he comes up, so he is the only guy that's worth the $5. Bibbee is all heart, but it isn't like he has overwhelming stuff. We need to tread water until Bieber gets back mid year. The Tribe has Kwan and Jose and 7 question marks otherwise, Starters shaky. We have went all in on bullpen and it looks even better than last year. We might be in playoff mode give me 3 good innings territory all year. I can't believe we have Carlos Santana back. I guess I shouldn't call him a question mark. If he is healthy put him down for .238/21 HR/74 RBIs and league leading walks. Going to miss Josh. Ballooning up to 280 at 5'11 is never a great move during contract year.
If I was betting on a longshot I would go with Big Christmas. I assume he will be in lineup against leftie. I saw some stats that his exit velocity was leading everyone in league in spring training and approaching Stanton type pop off the bat.
O’s Adley Rutschann 13 for 22 / 5 XBH / 3 HR vs Jose Berrios.
That would be my HR pick +650 for the No Sweat Bet tomorrow. Maybe a little extra too.
Riddle me this about ballpark pal. I have went over Cle at KC game and can't figure out why it is so bullish on KC tmrw. Bibbee has given up 7 er ever against KC in 94 AB and is 2-0 career against them. Ragans has given up 6 ER in 40 ABs against Cleveland and is 0-2. Bibbee spring is whip of 0.84. Ragans whip of over 2 in 4 outings.
I get this is all small sample stuff, but what am I missing? It is telling me I should get +180 to bet Cle and I can't figure out a reason why and how it sims that number?
I'm taking a flyer on Skubal @ +154.
I've been alive for 54 MLB opening days now, counting 2025.
I've seen zero. I will continue to have seen zero after tomorrow.
The prices are just insane. It costs more to see opening day than the NLDS, and sometimes the NLCS, depending upon who is playing. I just don't think opening day is that special, especially if it's not the first game of the season (which it isn't for the Dodgers, given their Tokyo play).
I am considering going over the weekend or early next week, but I'm seeing rain in the forecast in LA, so I might not bother. They are giving a Hershisher jersey away on Saturday, which might be kinda cool since I once interviewed him on Dondown Radio.
Anyway, I'll be watching on my couch tomorrow. Probably placing a few bets on other games, as well.
Mookie is somehow playing, even though he can't eat. Possibly a good fade in props.
Kike Hernandez now has the Influenza A Superaids.
Same thing as Mookie.... can't keep food down.
In other news, the betting public can't help but keep firing on the Dodgers to win the World Series, even at a pretty ugly +275 line. Some books have more Dodgers World Series bets placed than all other teams combined.

LOL public
Kirk Gibson with Dodgers first pitch.
Had a hard time throwing it. He's "only" 67 years old, but that Parkinson's has really taken its toll.
Sad.
@BCR, I laughed. Y'all still won tho.
Some observations from the Dodgers game today, which they won 5-4 in ugly fashion:
Ohtani just continues to crush. Amazing player, even if he never pitches again.
Tommy Edman continues to show why the Cardinals were really stupid to give him away for very little. I hope they enjoy Erick Fedde.
Teoscar Hernandez is a nice luxury to have in an already-stacked lineup. Also nice to have a gregarious personality on a team where two of the stars are quiet (Freeman, Betts), and one doesn't speak English (Ohtani). Glad they brought him back.
Blake Snell did NOT look like a pitcher you just spent $182m on at age 32. I've always been skeptical of Snell, because he's the type of guy who can be great or very hittable, and you never know which one will show up.
Blake Treinen was used to close, for some reason. Does this team have a 3-headed closer in Scott-Yates-Treinen?
So the Dodgers got 3 HR and managed 5 runs, and slipped by.
Mackenzie Gore went 6 innings, allowed 1 hit, 0 runs, and struck out 13.
And the Phillies still won 7-3 over the Nats. Ugly!
The Reds got 7 K in the first 3 innings out of Hunter Greene. They led 3-0 after 3, and 4-2 after 8, and lost 6-4 to the Giants.
The Marlins got 3 in the 8th/9th off the bullpen, to ruin Paul Skenes' relatively good outing, and won 5-4.
Wilyer Abreau won a gold glove last year as a rookie for the Sox. Yesterday he hit 2hr including the 3 run bomb in the 9th to win it. Kristian Cambell started at 2nd as a rookie, drove in a run and scored 2x. Baseball is finally worth watching again.
I thought for sure you’d be joining this protest:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3SrW7wV2hw
o/u 2 years til Skenes demands a trade?
There were 2 starters in the Miami lineup yesterday I had never heard of before. ONE WAS THE DH!
I can’t believe they still offer this on the Dodgers only down 2 after 5 with Flaherty at 75 pitches and top to the order coming up. This bet was 2-2 5 minutes after I bet it. My regular bets are losing this week and this shit is keeping me afloat /

Must have been frustrating watch them toss away a 3-2 9th inning lead, and then fall behind 5-3 in the 10th.
Mookie, apparently better from his Super AIDS, bailed you out.
This team is going to win a lot of comeback games because there are so many guys who can do damage in that lineup.
Tanner Scott might end up being an expensive fail. I am always against paying a lot of money for relievers, unless it's a truly elite one like Mariano Rivera. Otherwise, so many of these go bad.
Look how great the Dodgers bullpen was last year, when it was comprised with all no-namers.
Absolute lock for Monday Night. DBacks will smash my Orioles easily and its not hard to figure out why. Orioles and Dbacks both in 4 game series to start the season. Orioles have to fly from Toronto to Phoenix on Sunday after they play Toronto while the Dbacks are already home. Baltimore is gonna be tired after that flight and a 3 hr time shift to boot.
How are the Angels ever -167 favorites against anyone? Soriano is ok, but not some ace. Makes me want to bet against them because they are just as big a fail organization as the White Sox.
'The Angels have lost each of their last 10 games as road favorites against American League opponents.'
Going to vote for Joe Ryan today and first five the Twins again.
Thankfully I didn’t have to watch it. I was at a Dave and Busters with my girlfriend(like arcade bar/restaurant if you don’t have them in LA) and her boys and I’d go for a beer and saw my Houston basketball bet going up in flames and just fired at it when I looked at his pitch count. Got lucky it sounds like
