Trump seemed like he didn't prepare.
Kamala seemed like she rehearsed this shit over and over, and also had the DNC feed her lines which would agitate Trump (and successfully did).
The moderators were horrendous and extremely biased.
100% this won't help Trump, which is what he needed.
Decent chance (but not certain) it will help Kamala.
Some chance it won't move the needle by November.
I'm now hoping they have a good October surprise regarding Tim Walz.
If Trump loses this, it's his own fault. This debate should have been relatively easy to win. It's even somewhat his fault for agreeing to ABC as the platform.

This will short term consolidate people who already were never going to vote for Trump, and several fake polls will come out for a couple weeks that will pushback against a race that is currently around 1.5+ in her favor (remember Biden was polling 8+ in September). This will change nothing by the end of the month.
Preparation was very important on this one because Kamala is an okayish speaker when she has prepared shit to say, but lousy at speaking off the cuff.
Biden was a dead body and couldn't say anything clearly, so Trump won by default.
Trump should have been prepared with talking points on each subject, and stuck to them, and then dropped zingers in when they came to mind. He should have also promised himself not to ramble or run off topic about the same thing over and over.
I think Trump believed he'd just show up and wing it and win, like he did with Biden, and it didn't work out.
Kamala was given careful lines and talking points, and recited them as rehearsed. The DNC put their best people on crafting them. They also knew ABC would be in her corner, which they very much were.
Trump had some areas he could have crushed Kamala to where she'd have no real response. He could have brought them out, and then repeated that she was refusing to answer them. Would have been very powerful. He didn't. Huge missed opportunity.

The moderators coordinated and prepared on this strategy probably even more than Kamala did in memorizing answers to questions she knew would be asked. If you try to get a feel of the reactions to this from the general public, they took it too far to the point it can overshadow Kamala being able to recite her memorized answers.

It's hard to get a true judge of the average voter from my social media being from Texas with connections to Oklahoma and Missouri, but I do have quite a few highly educated woketards on my Facebook and upper middle class and upper class Texans that voted Beto and Obama.
