Actually, the inability to handle food well is one of the flaws of the human body. Think of how a dog can lick up all kinds of old food lying on the floor, and get his mouth full of bacteria. He can do this and not get sick. If you tried it, you would come down with all kinds of ailments.
The human mouth is pretty bad regarding the susceptibility to tooth decay and the much worse problems which follow it (which was also the cause of a lot of deaths prior to modern dentistry existing).
Humans are not particularly fast or agile, and not strong for their size, compared to other animals.
We are at the top of the food chain and rule the earth because we are smarter than other animals by a wide margin, have opposable thumbs, and live a long time.
