We know this already Newsom. No one is denying it.

If Trump institutes the tariffs he proposes, it will ruin the economy. Any rational, intelligent person knows this.

The the sneaky fly in the ointment with my inflation bets is that the tariffs never happen. The market initially said they would.
The lobbying from manufacturers with supply chain pain could win. There are always wacky tariff exceptions - maybe “tariffs” pass in appearance and the perceived political win is booked but not substance. We will see

Remember when he promised to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it? That was funny.

This thread is about Gavin, not Trump.
But Im not an expert on this topic, but he could do this or partially do it. He could use the tariffs on incoming good from Mexico or upcharge the applicants trying to come into the USA legally. I know a guy from Australasia that paid 78K to become a legal citizen here. When he told me the story, he was kinda pissed it costs so much, but then again, it was worth it to become a legal citizen here.
Upcharge the people from Mexico to become legal citizens and use that money to fund the wall.
OR stop sending billions to Ukraine (Biden money laundering)and use the money here for the wall construction.

The thread is about whatever we want it to be as long as it's not intentionally derailing it. You posted a meme showing Gavin at the southern border railing against Trump. Commentary on previous Trump southern border policies and whether he even follows through is relevant dumbass,

OMG you’re fucking retarded. It’s American consumers that pay the cost of the tariffs, not the importing country.

If you don’t understand why, you don’t understand our history. LA would drain every farm in the Central Valley to fill their pools, water their lawns, and have Mexicans wash their Range Rovers twice a week if they could. Their appetite for water is insatiable.

In all fairness, the whole “Newscum” jab is old, elementary and I leave that low hanging fruit alone. An old joke that played out. But Gavin is dirty and a horrible politician.

Pelican Bay prison remodel- Cost to taxpayers- $239 million
https://dailycaller.com/2025/04/01/c...odcast-studio/
California officials are moving forward with a costly multi-hundred million dollar renovation to the San Quentin State Prison that seeks to transform the penitentiary into a Scandinavian-style “rehab center” featuring amenities including food trucks and a podcast studio.
The remodeling is expected to cost taxpayers about $239 million, and prisoners at the facility will be able to enjoy things like an on-site café, grocery store, television production studio, and more, according to the Chronicle. California announced in 2023 that the state would be transforming the notorious prison into the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center “with the goal to bring transformational programmatic, cultural and physical change that can serve as a symbol of hope and change.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom and his administration are facing several federal investigations.
Here's a breakdown of the investigations:
1. Areas Under Investigation:
High-Speed Rail Project: Allegations of corruption and mismanagement within the state's troubled High-Speed Rail project are being investigated.
Homelessness Spending: Federal authorities are looking into the potential misuse of funds allocated to address homelessness in California.
School Civil Rights Violations: Civil rights violations within California's schools are under scrutiny.
Migrant Shelters and Human Smuggling: Investigations are underway regarding state-funded migrant shelters and potential links to human smuggling activities.
Medi-Cal and Student Aid Fraud: Allegations of misallocated federal funds for Medi-Cal (California's Medicaid program) and student aid fraud are also being investigated.
FERPA Violations: The U.S. Department of Education is investigating the California Department of Education for alleged violations of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This stems from a California law that prohibits schools from disclosing a child's "gender identity" to their parents, which potentially conflicts with FERPA.
2. Newsom's Response:
Newsom's office has declined to comment on the specific investigations.
He has, however, defended the creation of a $50 million legal defense fund, arguing it is necessary to protect California's interests against potential federal overreach.
Critics argue that this fund could be used to shield Democrats from potential indictments, especially in the context of these investigations.
3. Republican Efforts:
Republican Assemblyman Carl DeMaio has launched a parallel investigation, dubbed DOGE CA, aimed at uncovering fraud and illegal activity within California's government.
DOGE CA claims to have uncovered issues like misallocated federal funds, student aid fraud, and potential money laundering to fund political campaigns.
4. Political Context:
These investigations are taking place amidst a highly charged political environment, with Republicans accusing Newsom and other Democrats of corruption, while Democrats claim the investigations are politically motivated.
The investigations could have significant implications for California's political landscape, potentially impacting the state's Democratic leadership.
In summary, Governor Newsom and his administration are currently under federal scrutiny regarding various allegations of corruption, mismanagement, and potential legal violations.

Well, this time, they’re both 100% right.
