They separated after about a year of being married, so obviously the whole thing was a huge fail. The whole thing was weird.

He married into 20 billion bucks, and had virtually nothing. Mackenzie looks fairly good for her age. He's an average looking guy himself. They both were supposedly passionate about charity.

So why didn't he make this work? Was Mackenzie insufferable? Was he banging young chicks behind her back? I'm no gold digger, but I admit that if I were married into 20 bil, I might pause before abandoning the whole thing, even if the marriage otherwise has issues.

I just assumed he was Jewish, like how is he even in the same orbit as her. For decades every where she goes everyone is trying to impress her. So yea she's probably a total bitch and he's just a normal dude.
It's bizarre.

I'm not sure how they met. I never made an attempt to figure it out. They probably revealed it somewhere in an interview.

She was probably going for the whole, "I want to marry a regular person who likes me for me, not someone into my money", but clearly that didn't work out.

In theory that's a good idea, but the problem is that there are too many convincing conmen out there who can pretend to love you and be passionate about the same things you are, when in reality they just want access to your cash.

If I were a billionaire, and if I were known enough to where there was no way to hide it when dating, it would be very tough to date and not constantly have that in the back of my mind.

The bigger question is why Jeff Bezos was so stupid to jump right into the arms of the most obvious of obvious gold diggers.
