I know it's not the American way, but it's worth thinking about what the goal of ISIS is. They are trying to isolate normal Muslims from the West, and all this terror is designed to provoke Muslim hate in the West.
It's possible something similar in the US will occur, but it's much tougher since 9/11.
A big ocean separates us from the terror networks. It is tough for them to get enough players into the country without arousing suspicion.
Even if they manage that, all it takes is one fuckup on the part of the accomplices to end up exposing themselves.
A big terror event in the US is the ultimate prize, yet there's been zero incidents (aside from the Boston Marathon) in the past 14 years. And the Boston thing was two brothers doing it on their own, which is much tougher to detect.
There's a reason that there have been 0 successful organized attacks since 9/11.
Even 9/11 almost got interrupted when Zacarias Mossaoui got arrested a month beforehand, but fail on the part of the FBI didn't investigate him properly.

I mainly use youtube for music, and don't ever venture into the conspiracy side of it.
I don't even go on conspiracy forums anymore, as I've been banned from all the ones that I used to frequent.
Just wish that my facebook feed wasn't polluted with this shit. About 1/3 of my friend list have changed their avatar to a france flag, and gtd the other 2/3 are believers who just cba changing their avatar. Normally I'd deactivate, or delete, FB when it becomes so insufferable, but am practicing acceptance as mentioned before.

Obama made a grave mistake by not taking ISIS seriously in its early days when it was just getting going.
If there is going to be an end to life on earth, the most likely scenario will be Islamic extremists getting a hold of nuclear weapons.
Right now that's hard to imagine, but as time passes and weaponry becomes both cheaper and more advanced, it will become less and less difficult for them to get a hold of something really destructive.
Right now nuclear weaponry only lays in the hands of well-funded large governments, but what about 50-100 years, when these are both cheaper and easier to make?
At least with Russia (and even North Korea), we know that they are as afraid to have their country obliterated as we are.
Islamic fundamentalists have no such fear.
