Hit a couple of spots that had excellent cover, good tidal flow, just no fish. Very confusing and discouraging. I should have at least seen snapper bluefish in the mix. No gulls, no fluke, no strikes, no nothing.
Perhaps tomorrow Ill do some fresh water fishing, but the winds make riding a bicycle too and from the waters a bit of a chore.. will probably wait until my car is ready next week and head out to a legit fly fishing stream Tuesday eve... time will tell.

i bet you did better than me i only caught a buzz real nice weather though, one of my frends caught 2 steel head salmon not to big though dident keep them, first time i seen these guys real tuff fuckers,
i had the wrong gear for what we were doing, a spey casting set up would have worked as there was lots of elbow room and you had to get the shit way out there, had a go with my frends rod but got nothing, talked to some guys who go to steerman beach (close to me) and fly fish during the summer for pink salmon i know were this is in west vancouver (real nice area water front mansions)on a fly set up i cant waite they say june july is best there.
