The 2nd shot that you seem to have an issue with happened a literal half second after the first shot that you are ok with. To say things like “ after it's clear nobody is in danger” seems disingenuous to me. To think a person who had a 7000 lb SUV hurtling at them half a second prior would then make those calculations of imminent danger and future threat in that timeframe is patently absurd to me.Quote:

Justified- This video is the best I've seen so far. She turned the front wheels to the right to aim at the front officer and the front wheels were spinning BEFORE he pulled his pistol from the holster. This video is the end-all for me.

My non-expert opinion- I wish all LEOs (including ICE) would start using pepper spray more often. Its non-lethal and really, really hurts and disables a person.
Renee Good (the woman killed) had an unusual personal life. It's not clear if any of this played into her behavior yesterday, but here's her story:
- She got married young and had kids when she was 21 and 24. At some point, she and that guy divorced.
- She later married a man named Tim Macklin, and had a kid with him in 2019.
- Macklin, a comedian, died at age 36 in 2023. It's not clear how he died, and I'm wondering if it was suicide or a drug OD, as nothing online states the cause of death, which usually indicates something the family would prefer wasn't public. 36-year-olds don't usually just kick the bucket out of nowhere, so either it was likely either an accident, act of violence, drug OD, or suicide.
- Shortly after Macklin's death, Renee suddenly changed gears and shacked up with a lesbian. She married the woman, and took that woman's last name (Good). Her wife took credit for having encouraged her to come down to interfere with the ICE activity, and was filmed crying and blaming herself. Apparently the plan was for Renee to park her car to inhibit ICE, while her wife would record the ensuing "abuse" and post it on social media. Obviously this plan went very badly, and now Renee is dead.
It's unclear if Renee was a lesbian all along and suddenly accepted this in 2023 after her husband's death, or if she was bisexual, or if the trauma of her husband's death made her more open to a relationship with a woman who was there for her during the grieving period.
Anyway the moral of the story is don't fuck with federal agents in order to make viral Tiktok videos.
Even though this whole thing bears some similarity to the George Floyd situation:
1) Occurred in Minneapolis
2) Was a killing by law enforcement many deemed unjustified
3) Abruptly became a huge news story
... I don't think we will see rioting break out like we did in 2020.
Why?
1) Renee Good was white
2) It's really cold in Minnesota right now, and people just aren't going to be fired up enough about this to protest in freezing temperatures
3) It's been a full day, and there has been no sign of rioting thus far

Lots of police depts teach 3 shot bursts too. When you make the decision to use deadly force, your subsequent actions follow that decision.

The Icon is very correct. Law Enforcement is taught two basics- 1. They shot to STOP the threat, doesnt matter how many rounds needed.. 2. They shot to the COM- the Center of Mass. Never taught to wound or "shoot the leg".Quote:
