I now no longer try and when I bet I bet log optimal... Huge on the singular best EV play.
Again I have been doing this in some capacity or another for 15 years. Sure it has some stresses like any job but a lot of situations repeat themselves and I am prepared for most and if I am not then I can just talk to people who have seen whatever it is I am looking at.
As far as very little freedom LOL. In 2 weeks everything I do will be more or less automated for 6 months.
It has gotten to the point where I have defeated these accounts so quickly I have run the "sketchy locals " way down and now can feast on these fat rich sportsbooks who are still taking good sized bets. And as far as locals who do not pay, you would probably be surprised at how little I have been stolen from compared to net profits. I am def on the way way low end of that spectrum there
And as far as "risky runners" go that is another skill that I have gotten pretty good at over the years finding good people to trust and have had minimal issues and when I have encountered any issues they are usually resolved because I try to work with people with good character.
Not saying this is easy , but the transition from poker to sports went smoothly for me because the poker world prepared me for what I have seen.
