Pulled Pork Poutine
12 Hour Applewood Smoked Corned Beef and Brisket. Jalapeno Mac and Cheese and Slaw. Blake's Flannel Mouth Cider back there too.
Just curious. Im assuming the redder meat is the smoked corn beef and the other is the brisket? Im going to get into more brisket smoking and im going to try smoking the corned beef. Its essentially the same cut of meat except how its prepared...cant be too hard i figure.
Looks like a nice " comfort food" display here
ticks me off, i had a bunch of pics and vids of my food porn. Smoked pork butts and everything. Some were on a phone that I dropped and some were on an sd card that I put god knows where.
When I find it ill post a dump of my stuff. also just revived a hard drive an hour ago from a pc that went to shit and it looks like i have some food porn on there too.
im assuming you're talking about peppers that I plant rather than my stuffed peppers I make? (cant remember If i posted the stuffed ones here)
As for peppers that I plant, I didn't really plant anything this year. Too much other stuff going on and we are working on just trying to sell the house to get out of this hellhole neighborhood before the fucking neighbor pulls some more bullshit. I have plans for next year though. Im even actually mass planting shit-tons of garlic this week over by my dads property, so I have it come up and be ready next spring/summer. Soo much stuff you can do with garlic.
Edit: also, im planning on ordering several seeds :ghost, scorpion, carolina reaper, etc etc , not to mention the other well known peppers, and pre-planting them in starter flats over the winter so they are ready to go next year.
BTW im open to anyones suggestions on things to plant

+1 I have onions on my list. I haven't really thought of planting scallions, but that is a nice idea. It just dawned on me that I have bought a ton of them over time but have never really planted them. between scallions & onions, they are a pretty easy item to plant and maintain.
Speaking of garlic, I haven't been at home for the last few days so I don't have access to all of my pics, but here is a small batch of pickled garlic I finished up recently. Pretty time consuming endeavor particularly when you add the time it takes to peel, process, can, etc vs the yield - But to me it's worth it. BTW They work excellently for Bloody Marys.
PAGING FADUNIAK
So, for some odd reason, tonight as late as it was, i all of the sudden wanted meatloaf. I don't know why...i guess maybe i just was craving some" home cooked comfort food" like my mom would make, if you know what i mean. Ive never even made it myself before, so here is my first try.
Here are before pics
Surprise birthday Halloween party... after party.
...passing out
so hungry right now and wish i could smash that
i never NOT feel like eating a good burger
burgers are god /thread
a "most likely you can afford" review up next
edit: god damnit, tried to rotate and repost and it didn't work and it's too late for me to be f'ing with this
will add more photos tomorrow, but i give it a 2.5/5
pros:
plenty of peppers with the rice (i love red/yellow/orange bell peppers)
eggroll was much better than i thought it would be. seems to be a food that can easily be frozen and microwaved. a ton of cheap chinese restaurants probably use these type of frozen egg rolls
cons:
only finished half of the beef & rice. rice was kinda mushy. certainly wasn't great, but not the worst thing i've ever eaten. very meh
repost
i award you no rep
i just remembered this since the thread was just bumped. Those "before" pics look absolutely TERRIBLE imo; I am ashamed. Im not even sure what I did with the "after" pics... I know i took a couple but who cares...they were nothing to brag about anyway. Oh well, doesn't matter. The meatloaf - especially for my first crack at it - tasted "ok" , but it's certainly not my finest work.
I guess I just had one of those days where I was craving a home-cooked specialty like my mom would make... it's too bad she isn't around anymore to give me a good meatloaf recipe!
Hers was the best!
Currently devouring this Whole Foods thanksgiving dinner

Those jalapeņo chips with your Thanksgiving dinner in a portioned out plate really makes me want to fuck you.
Lolololololololol. I honestly thought whole foods was elitest. Portioned out plates might be the most white trash thing ever.

One of my friends who lives in the Chicago area brought me up a package of this. Im cooking some Italian beef sandwiches up as we speak...i will post updates with dipped sandwiches that will truly be "super moist".
