Good fight and good tactics from Cruz. Scandal if that went against him.
Good sportsmanship all round too.

Conor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather reportedly come to terms on a mega-fight
Of course it's UFC. Dana and they want a cut of the gate which will likely be at TMobile Arena in LV. Problem is negotiating it. I'm pretty sure Dana said 50% and they laughed at his ass and then said try again. I'm guessing Mayweather may be willing to give at most 1/3 of the gate and maybe a little more on the PPV buys as this will blow and UFC out of the water on buys.
My question is how much will Mayweather offer McGregor to pretend to fight him. I know boxing is different then MMA, but Conner has proven he has good striking now and he has age on his side compared to Floyd. I know many are sure Mayweather wins and it wouldn't surprise me but also wouldn't surprise me if Conner knocked him the fuck out either. Floyd would easily win Judges decision despite backpeddling for 12 rnds but can't win if your ass is on the canvas for 10
Just wanted to chime in and say that the George Foreman grill is a VERY VERY underrated piece of equipment
Canelo is born and raised in my hometown from Mexico, Juanacatlán Jalisco and I've been a huge fan for a long time. Our families know each other well, but I hope Chavez Jr. knocks this kid out. He ran scared from GGG and Canelo lost a lot of respect from many of his hardcore fans.
I've still got Canelo by decision, but I'm rooting for Chavez Jr. to win by knockout
Canelo Vs GGG is officially done. Take my money please, and sign me the fuck up for that and I'm not a huge boxing guy but I think it could out do Floyd vs Manny.
so if boxing is the sweet science what is climate change THE SWEET AND SOUR SCIENCE and trademarked
JCC jr was a joke, canelo was toying with him, leaning on the ropes just waiting for the counterpunch he was going to let off. Canelo looked amazing, new trainer paying off.
Canelo beats GGG book it.
canelo getting owned by mayweather was a top 14 boxing moment
New odds for GGG vs Canelo Alvarez have hit the boards and they are a lot closer than expected.
GGG -165
Canelo +135
Canelo is being underrated imo.
I think he's got a lot of the advantages over GGG. Golovkin has more power, and a better jab. Probably an edge in foot speed. Canelo has better defense (where he's severely underrated), hand speed, and just overall ring IQ. People are so caught up in how poorly he looked against Mayweather. That was a lot more about Floyd than it was about Canelo. If he can work around GGG's jab, I fully expect Canelo to win the exchanges with Golovkin. Canelo's combination punching is going to give GGG fits when they exchange.
I don't believe for a second that GGG can out box Canelo. And one thing you have to consider in this fight, specifically if you're betting it, is the judges. Canelo lost 11 rounds to Mayweather and still got a draw on one card. If he makes it even relatively close he's winning a decision.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I've just never been that high on GGG. I thought he might lose to Jacobs, and a lot of folks believe that he did. There was so much talk about him and Kovalev when they were on the come up. I always felt Kovalev was so much more deserving of the attention that Golovkin was getting.
Now I'm rambling. Long story short, give me Canelo at + odds.
I checked odds good few months ago for Canelo Golovkin and Canelo was 5/1 at time. Then GGG has a suspect performance combined with a convincing win against Chavez, and odds are closer to 50/50 at least they will probably shorten more come fight night
Some good fights coming up for betting.
Brook v Spence next week, Spence is slight favourite in the betting. Think it would be more surprising if he won tbf young and less experience fighting away from home in the UK of all places where its very difficult for an away fighter to get a decision.
There's another UK vs US bout that kid Davis from the Mayweather team against Walsh in London. Walsh looks in good shape bang on 130 pound limit whereas Davis almost missed weight. Can get 4/1 on Walsh by points
LOL
Jose Uzcategui gets disqualified for a late punch that knocked Andre Dirrell to the canvas. Dirrell would get up and appear to make amends with Uzcategui; however, Dirrell's uncle, Leon Lawson does this and is now on the run from cops for assault and battery lol
I was watching the fight and that was fucking crazy.
Much respect to Jose for eating that sucker punch like a man.
My book is offering +185 for Kell Brook. Seems like good odds to me. I donno much about Spence, but Brook clearly defeated Porter a few years ago (meaning he is a pretty elite WW) and was outboxing GGG through 4 rounds his last fight at MW before GGG started to lay the wood in the 5th.
Seems like he is legitimately being underestimated. My once concern is that his busted eye socket might not have fully healed and could be a problem.
Anyone who knows a lot about Spence really think he should be this big a favorite?
daniel franco went straight from his KO to a medically induced coma with 2 brain bleeds.
Kovalev v Ward 2 today; I like Kovalev +120 as he lost the first fight, but you could of argued he won......and you know these promoters want a trilogy lol.
I initially wanted to bet Ward in the rematch. I think he was really starting to figure out Kovalev over the course of the last few rounds in the first fight.
I had a bet on Kovalev by decision in the first one. And I thought I should have won that bet. I really believe Kovalev won the fight.
Kovalev thinks he was robbed (Keeps calling Ward "Son of Judges" in interviews). So I think he's going to really come out and go for it this time. He doesn't want to leave it in the hands of the judges. I think he either comes out and stops Ward in the early/mid rounds, or gasses again and Ward takes another decision.
I think I'm going to lay off this one. Or maybe throw a little on Kovalev Inside the Distance. No value on Ward unless you're taking him by KO. Which I wouldn't even really call "value," because I don't think it can happen.
Ward getting a body KO when he's most likely losing the fight is crazy. He really is that good
I had Ward up by a round when they stopped it.
I hated the stoppage, though. When the ropes are holding you, it's a knockdown and you get a count. This is the shit that always happens with boxing. There's always some kind of bullshit controversy. The ref should have let Ward finish him off. Kovalev was done, Ward should have been able to finish him.
The ref took a legit stoppage away from Andre Ward.
They may of missed a nutshot too, but I do agree, way too quick of a stoppage for a title fight this big.
https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2017/6/1...xing-low-blows
It was 3 nut shots in a row that eventually stops the fight. He is protesting the stoppage.... rightfully so
They're not going to overturn it.
Kovalev was done. He was looking for a way out anyway. Gassed after 4 rounds. He was finished.
Also, we're just gonna sit here and at like Kovalev wasn't throwing rabbit punch after rabbit punch?
It was a rough, sometimes dirty, fight. But Kovalev broke, and started crying to the ref.
If anything, Weeks robbed Ward of a legitimate stoppage.
I also don't think they were "nut shots." I'm not sure even one of them connected down that low. You could argue that two of them were belt line. I do think one was low, though.
I still haven't seen any angles that show definitive proof of whether they were low, or borderline. If all they have is what's on the broadcast, it'll be awfully hard to overturn.
This whole shit would have been prevented if Weeks did a better job as an official.
He should have given Kovalev a count, or even time to recover, if he thought the shots were low.
LOL
I haven't seen the fight yet. I was busy yesterday doing something else. Will eventually see it when it comes on HBO in a week or two. I will take y'all word that the fight ended on some questionable blows from Ward, in a spot where he was always gonna win regardless.
Hard to tell what to do in such a spot, as it looks like the right fighter won, just for the wrong reason.
