Banks are claiming they are doing this to avoid money laundering and other criminal activities, this is nothing but an excuse.
It's harder to get cash out of Cryptopia then it is to open a bank account in regard to identification.

I noticed today that all of the alt coins I'm holding on Cryptopia all made nice gains, you can still trade all coins but simply can't receive NZD or deposit NZD.

Cryptopia is ripping people off blind. They don't charge huge fees to trade, but whn you want to take your coins off their site they charge a ridiculous "exit fee" which is totally dependent on which alt coin you want to take off their site. in BTC it's about $20AUD, ETH it's about $10AUD just to take your coins elsewhere.
I figured a way to bypass it though, swap all coins for dogecoins and they only sting you 3 DOGE to exit. (about $0.02AUD)

Funny how the joke coin has become so useful. :)

Becareful dude Blockchain does not equal cryptocurrency... the final stage or one of the final stages which will be widely used has most likely not been created or has but is not widely known and the "currency" backing it will not be one of the main ones (except maybe ETH). I made some money trading in and out but I'm taking my profit and I'm out. Buying fins and going longer crude.

Obviously nobody knows what is going to be good yet because we are still in the early stages of this. And it is probably likely that a lot of these Cryptos will not be around after a certain period of time. But that does not mean that it is foolish to gamble with this stuff (unless someone is not educated).

Anyone just blindly buying up anything and everything to "get in on the ground floor" is a moron and will get destroyed. It works the same with most markets that you can gamble in. Just like the people who used to join the biggest games on Full Tilt poker so they could sit with Phil Ivey were foolish too. To expand on the poker analogy how many skins did you play on back in the day that are no longer around now? It will probably be similar with Crypto. Anyone who can critically think can see this but there are always going to be fish who don't and they will get severely owned.

On the other hand there are people who are using what they deem "good" information to try and find the next Nintendo or Apple or however you want to describe it and while trying to find these gems they are making easy scores from the thousands into the millions based off of good information or just pure logic.

Not everything is going to last and people are going to get slaughtered that are sinking big money into this and not pulling any out. Bitcoin may be one that gets slaughtered but here we are almost 10 years later and it is still trading at 5000 x what it was when it started getting somewhat popular. Bitcoin may go donkdown some day but you can't deny the project has been wildly successful up until this point and has led to the current crypto boom we are in now.


This is going to be similar to poker in a sense that a very very high % of people playing the crypto game are going to get crushed and the more educated/ disciplined and knowledgeable and in some cases lucky people are going to do very well.

Regardless of what you think the crypto market will do years from now im nearly certain that ETHOS will spike in price end of q1 when this wallet is released, so if you think the tech is bullshit or the market is bullshit you can just sell after release of wallet but imo this is a winner.
