I'm pretty sure it's Jsearles.

Druff,
How about doing some due diligence and investigation BEFORE a BAP, instead of regurgitating stuff and conjecture after your forum members get screwed?
You're pretty good at the internet and all these facts seem readily available.
You have a duty to protect users half of whom seem to have mental problems.
I didn't invest in the BAP mostly because I thought filthy limper radio was unlistenable and got burned in that proofz fiasco on DD.
This place is called pokerfraudalter and your user base keeps getting frauded...wtf?
It's not Druff's job to determine who throws their money away. To somehow suggest Druff was complicit is like someone blaming anyone other than Micon for dumping $11,000 to Justin Smith.
He did not invest in the BAP. That should have spoken volumes. All that said, it's not his responsibility to tell people what to do, or no do, with their money.
People bought into a sketchy poker player and lost all their money. It's over.
Props to Sonatine for calling this out long before anyone.
Totally agree with this. We're all grownups and have to make our own decisions about risk. the security of your money in BAP's can run from holding the stone-cold nuts to drawing to a gutterball. Diligence will never make the % 0.0 that this happens. I think everyone knew there was potential ruin involved in this, but also saw potential dollar signs. Any time I invest I know there is some chance that I am burning money, but its a risk I'm willing to take and in the long-run I'm ahead, I don't look at it on a case by case basis after the fact, I look at my judgement as a whole.
One more point. Don't think Jasep is not embarrassed by all this. It's not like he is sitting at the bar in Las Vegas laughing.
He is probably sleeping right now, hoping to forget this.
Guy is broke and has probably facing other real life issues.
He did not guarantee anything to you fucking "investors". He took your money, placed a bet, and lost your money.
Get over it. You threw some money at a poker player you never met and lost.
I had Jasep pegged as a sketchey fucker long ago and you as braggart ass hole cunt which is just obvious to any one with half a brain.
You jumped on his wagon right from the start
you are about as dumb as a bag of hammers.
Who's opinion is relevant here. Yours?? I don't think so.
so the general consensus is that he was not really playing at all? For the video blogs I remember him saying that he had one of those big video cameras and not a iphone and thats why he couldn't film near the table....so this ties in with the not playing..
sigh
Well I guess it's my turn...
I trusted Jasep, and still did up until I saw Steve's response. I thought he would pay us back fully on the 6th (and still hope he does) and also that he did send the Check to 22q. Unlike others here while I did trust Jasep, I also wasn't dumb enough to deal with him without some type of insurance. I purposely delayed payment for his BAP to Jan 1st (the day before his start date) so that if things didn't look right after 40ish days I could get a refund. On the 28th when this whole thing blew up he sent me a private message (below), detailing that his investors were fully behind him EXCEPT that a few had pulled out and he now had $850 opened up in shares. I instantly doubled down still believing him to be legit. However, I again made sure that I had insurance and sent it through paypal as a “service”. Below are the emails between us yesterday.

i dont hold any resentments toward you, I understand completely where you are coming from... I am in the process of working out getting all money on paypal and sent out. It is a large amount of money and I have to get it in multiple locations, meanwhile my family doesn't feel safe because some lunatic who is pretty good at the internet is harrasing all of us. Everyone will be made whole as promised and proof of every baseless claim from 22Q donations to whatever else is being said will be posted.
I don't blame you for filing a dispute, I know how this would look from the outside. I am just beat up and exhausted and I would like that everyone would give me the very tiny time frame I have asked for to get everything together, but that aside... turning off my phone and computer is mine and my families only relief from any of this, so I am sure you can't blame me for that. If I was truly trying to scam anyone i would just disappear and not respond to emails etc...
I haven't gone anywhere..

Dude I swear I'm still in your corner. At this point I just need to protect myself a bit. I really hope you don't hold any resentment towards me on this. It still stands that if this clears up a bit I would stake you again in the future. Again I'm sorry, if it matters for anything I have yet to put in the one I sent on the 1st of jan becquse the dispute would be for 300 rather than the 200 it should be. I'm sorry this is happening and again I am still in your corner along with a few others.

Your phone is off and you aren't answering an emails. Also, many things are coming out on pfa. I really don't care about my profits, just the 400. I put in a claim for the 200 I sent you on the 28th, this is for my protection.

***VERY IMPORTANT***
At 12:48 I received a very serious, very scary threat.. The threat contained information about my family, my girlfriend and the car I drove yesterday that is not in my name. The threat also claimed to have knowledge of where I park my car and there was a direct expression of violence. A family member received the same threat about a minute apart. We have both been in contact with the police and I have showed this to one of my investors who I trust the most with personal info and have known the longest. I am pulling the plug on all of this bullshit and taking the advice of my family and those close to me in real life.
No poker forum is worth any of this.
Every investor has $51.75 per share coming to them, over the next couple days I will coordinate 2 friends to accompany me to cash in my chips and to get all money in the bank and then online. I will then send out all shares accordingly. Everyone will receive all of their money within 7 days from today. Once every investor has received their refund I am going to step down from this website as well and close up shop. Maybe I am overreacting, and it is most likely some lunatic with a warped sense of humor, but my family/girlfriend who have been following this story are now genuinely scared and feel like I need to act on it.
Also below is his response to paypal regarding the issue. To his credit he made it extremely easy for me to collect if he didn’t refund me by the 6th. At this point I don’t want the last bit of profit, I just want my $400 back which Paypal assured me that given his response in 10 days (not even business days but legit 10 days including the weekend) that I would get a full refund. These were just “Disputes” as of yesterday, however after seeing steve’s statement I decided to escalate it and let paypal now handle everything in this regard.Quote:
Hi all,
I have spoken to almost all investors, some haven’t responded to me yet and I will update you guys if anything changes but as of right now here are some changes I will be making to projekt:sep… All of these changes are just refining the original process with updated information and experience and from playing the various schedules and juggling the filming, updates, payouts etc…
Each day requires about 2 hours of work that does not involve playing, that time is spent on filming, editing, uploading, travelling, etc… so my schedule will be four 10 hours days per week with 8 hours of play time per day.
Here are a few flaws in the original concept that I have noticed and corrected with the changes being made.
-Arriving at 9am is pointless, the games have not yet started and I spend about an hour doing nothing and just waiting
-Paying out on Thursday night is way to much of a struggle for me and disrupts my play day or my radio show and both of those things are a priority, also since i am dealing in cash/chips it isn't always available for me to fire on paypal right away
-Filming the second I get home and then doing the entire process creates a problem for me as I am tired and haven’t seen my family all day and now I come home and immediately spend 2 hours doing other things
-My schedule needs to have some degree of flexibility, not a ton, but things do come up and poker runs 24/7
So here is how it is going to play out moving forward…
Monday:
9am-11am – Record and upload video previewing the coming day and recapping the last week, make a bank deposit from the previous weeks profit and send out payments to all investors
11am-7pm – play poker… when I get home I will update a spreadsheet that all investors have access to that will detail what times, stakes, location and result for that day, I will complete this process every day.
Tuesday:
9am-10am Film and upload Mondays video with a preview for Tuesday
10am-6pm play poker
6pm-7pm film Tuesdays video.
Wednesday:
9am-10am Edit and upload Tuesdays video
4pm-midnight play poker… Both casinos have super popular tournaments on Wednesday nights and they get tons of players in the building, playing cash games during busy tournament times is always a good idea, also, I would like to have the option of playing Kevin’s stud game if need be as it can be lucrative but doesn’t run until the evening.
Midnight-1am Film Wednesdays video
Thursday:
10am-11am: Edit and upload Wednesdays video
11am-7pm play poker…
The Thursday blog will be audio only and will be done live on Filthy Limper Radio.
Friday:
9am-10am: edit and upload Thursdays audio blog
This schedule I will stick to pretty consistently… There may be an adjustment here and there but with a Monday morning payout an adjustment or two will never effect payout schedules and the adjustments should be few and far between now that I have a grasp on a schedule I want to perform…
The videos will all be uploaded at www.podcastvegas.com (VPR) and there will be a discussion thread in that forum, that is the discussion thread I will participate in and will answer any questions that are asked in that thread.
There will now be a spreadsheet available to everyone who has invested with the basic information I listed above, this will give every investor an “at-a-glance” view of where the day/week/month/project is at and will serve as posting results without having to complete the editing and uploading process at night. I am pretty good with excel but have never used google docs, if anyone can help me get a spreadsheet up that can be viewed by everyone that would be great.
Also, I have heard back from almost all of my investors but some have not yet replied to my last email, however, overwhelmingly most are on board with staying with the project. A couple have decided that they would like to exercise a buy out and I have no issue with them doing this as it is what I offered. I will be refunding 850.00 to previous investors. If any of you would like to pick up any of the 17 available shares you are more than welcome to and it would be greatly appreciated, whatever is not sold I will purchase myself. If anyone else would like to discuss a buyout you are more than welcome to contact me however, please do so before I start playing tomorrow, once i start playing tomorrow I will assume everyone is locked in and I can just focus on work.
If anyone has any questions or comments, as always I am available.

I am sorry if anyone trusted him because I stood up for him. I am sorry for the thousands of dollars people have lost and hope that you can recover some if not all of it. I really truly hope he didn’t screw over 22q and that he does pay back all investors. If you have the option to do so file a dispute with paypal for insurance.
Lastly, I have always liked azz/anal in all the years on this board, and have actually defended your trolling at times. You are the man.
BTW, Ban Jsearles he stole from Vegas and has no intention of ever paying. Vegas is GOD.
Congrats on knowing a scumbag when you see him. Maybe if you hadn't come off like such an asshole from the beginning and had some credibility around here more people would have believed you. Shame.
Probably not though considering Sonatine called this shit long before you and still no one listened, and he is very well liked.
4BET was correct, but he is also one of the most unlikeable people I have ever seen post on this forum, or any for that matter.
pikachar for radio co-host
I think if we don't have any evidence of charity payment by the end of today it is a wrap. I mean I already know there aint a chance in fucking hell that payment was made, but it appears some are still giving him the "benefit of the doubt" for some crazy fucking reason.
I lost a bet one time and had to make a donation to a charity, and I could pull up the receipt/evidence of payment in about 2 minutes going through my email right now. Been over 24 hours at this point, not a damn thing from Sep.
They even sent me a handwritten thank you card in the mail, and it was only for $100. They still send me emails every once in a while too.
Maybe the people that were threatening him chased him down and he had to throw his laptop in a river in fear for his life, and he was so traumatized he can't remember his email, passwords and can't get to a computer.
As much as I agree with you (If I was accused of this I would have found proof minutes after it happened), the problem is this isn't just rolling poker players, this is defrauding a charity, so even the most damaging circumstantial evidence needs to be verified.
I assume that not everybody heard Pikachar's very interesting Low Limit Poker Radio show last night, which was all about this issue.
I called into the show for about 45 minutes or so. During my appearance, I made the following offer to Jasep:
There is no reason for payments to wait until February 6th. If this is not a scam and you really have everyone's money, go to a Bank of America or another major bank and deposit the cash into my account. I will distribute it to your backers immediately.
I told the listeners to contact Jasep with this offer. I said that I would provide my account number to him as soon as he agrees.
Steve-O reported here that he passed that message along to Jasep, but got no reply.
Guess why he got no reply?
Because he doesn't have the money. It is highly likely that he wants to wait until the 6th so he can borrow from someone else (under false pretenses) to pay everyone back. So basically you'll be receiving scammed money to pay back the money that you were scammed.
I also have very little confidence that the 22Q money was ever sent. There are three reasons for this:
1) He told Chinamaniac shortly after the Ironman podcast that he was preparing to meet with a 22Q rep in Rhode Island to give the guy a money order. 22Q has no reps or presence in Rhode Island or the nearby area. They are in Florida.
2) It has been a full day since the 22Q questions were raised, and this is clearly the issue that is getting everyone (rightfully) the most angry. He has made no statements regarding this matter, nor has he provided any proof about the 22Q money. If he had the proof, it would be very easy to obtain and post, and at least that would remove the burden of the most serious accusation from his back. I believe he has not posted the proof of this 22Q payment because he does not have any proof.
3) JoeU's preliminary 22Q investigations revealed that the people at the foundation have no memory of a $3k check over the past several months. This is a smaller foundation that usually receives smallish donations, such as $50-$100. It would be unlikely that they would forget a $3000 donation in such a short period of time. While this by itself is not conclusive proof, it definitely doesn't look good.
If any of you are in contact with Jasep, ask him the following two questions:
1) Why can't you post proof of your 22Q payment IMMEDIATELY?
2) Why do you need until the 6th if you can go down to Bank of America TODAY and put the entire 5k (or whatever you have minus the chips you're holding) into Druff's account?
Pikachar, just finished catching up on whats been happening and that 6 hr. podcast of yours. Sorry to hear you learned a hard lesson. Won't lecture. I am sure the bruising on your butt from kicking yourself repeatedly will leave a lasting reminder. What a serious mess this all is.
I have contacted Johnny Sep and asked him for proof of the payment. He said he has a photocopy of the check he sent. I told him this wasn't good enough. He needs to show me a cancelled check that was cashed by the foundation. This is something he could easily get from the bank.
Furthermore, I have reached out to the president at the foundation. I will be e-mailing the executive board of the foundation today to investigate the bank statements to see if the money came.
Stay tuned.
Joe
Also, this is NOT a defense at all of Jasep, but I don't think he is a sociopathic scammer. That's more what peterdc is. After the full story came out, I could tell Peter's scamming was a lifestyle choice that gave him some sick enjoyment. Recall that Peter could have easily married his phone-sex-company-owning girlfriend and been set for life with a woman who was worth well over 10 million dollars. Instead, he resorted to scamming other people and even stealing from her.
I equate Jasep with Erick Lindgren, just on a much smaller scale (and with much less poker talent than Erick).
Both would pay the money they owed if they had it. Both delude themselves into thinking that scamming is just a temporary means to getting whole financially, and they'll eventually make it right without anyone being the wiser. Both have major gambling problems and will step on anyone to keep themselves in action.
In Jasep's case, I think he has a fantasy of being a winning poker pro. He is probably both a losing player and someone with -EV pit gambling problem, as well. Every time he takes a loan from a friend, every time he runs a stake that is actually paying off previous stakes or life expenses, every time he lies, every time he steals, he probably talks himself into believing that he will pay everyone back when he inevitably "stops running bad" and becomes the winning player he thinks he already is.
This is why he was still communicating with people as recently as yesterday afternoon. He is still deluding himself that he can (dishonestly) scratch up the 5k, bail himself out of this BAP mess, and somehow keep enough supporters to where they will give him another shot in the future. He hasn't quite accepted the fact that this is really the end of his gambling-by-borrowing career.
In Jasep's mind, the victims here are just temporary, provided he can still keep playing poker and "make things right" eventually. I'm sure he believes that he would have righted the ship had this not been outed by the "assholes" of this forum, much like Howard Lederer and Ray Bitar believed that Full Tilt would have restored everyone's money had that pesky DOJ not busted them shortly after they stole it all.
I believe there are two types of scammers out there -- sociopathic scammers, and opportunistic scammers.
Sociopathic scammers are people like Justin Smith and Peterdc. They actually scam because they enjoy it. It's a lifestyle to them.
Opportunistic scammers are people who don't enjoy scamming, but see it as a means of a way out of their financial messes. These people wouldn't scam if they were financially sound, but see scamming as a reasonable option to bail themselves out of bad money situations. That's where I put Jasep.
