First he "determined" that there wasn't enough evidence to press charges back in July, which was crap -- likely out of guilt/fear of single-handedly deciding the election.

Then he leaked the latest re-opening info in order to undo that July fuckup, presumably because he knew in reality she should have been charged, and was trying to undo the damage he caused by letting Loretta Lynch force his hand.

Then he just released this statement 2 days before the election (on a Sunday, mind you -- clearly because he wanted to give people more than one day to digest it) in order to put things back to where they were after his July statement.

He must have gotten cold feet as he saw Trump catching up, and knew he would be blamed if Trump managed to come back and actually win.

I don't think Comey premeditated doing this, hence the odd Sunday release.

I think he was feeling guilty AGAIN about possibly affecting the election (probably because he was read the riot act by Lynch and tons of other Hillary ball lickers at the DOJ), so this was his abrupt way of trying to undo the damage.

Someone wrote that he released this on Sunday in order to bury it.

No way.

People still see the news on Sunday, and even if they don't, it will be in Monday's news.

If Comey meant for this latest bombshell NOT to help Hillary, he would release it after Tuesday.

Investigation open = Hillary is guilty of committing crimes related to her e-mails, and is a horrible person

Investigation closed = Hillary did nothing wrong, and this is all a bunch of stupid noise from the right


There's not much in between with these type of voters.

So when they think she's being "investigated by the FBI", it's scary and ominous, and they see her as an awful criminal.

When they think the investigation has been dropped, it looks like this was much ado about nothing, and Hillary was innocent the whole time.

In reality she did plenty worthy of charging, and even if you disagree with that, you have to admit that she committed plenty of fairly egregious violations with the whole e-mail thing (and the subsequent coverup).

But undecided voters don't give a shit about those nuances. They want to know if she's guilty or not guilty. Period.
