let me assure you that the government doesn't/can't do shit for poor people. Everybody wants to talk about how stupid and terrible Trump voters are. I'll take working white trash over the inner city welfare/disability n-words who get Democrats elected any day of the week. These guys couldn't work more than 30 hours a week or they'd lose their benefits. They were born into public housing to single mothers, and the day they turned 18 they go to their social workers and figure out how to get a check from the government.
I was the manager of a Domino's pizza that accepted EBT. Our busiest day of the month was the 1st. 50 dollar orders going out to the hood, 3 dollar 2 liters of orange fanta, chicken wings everything. Upsell to infinity. It didn't matter if it was a bright, sunny tuesday in the middle of summer. We would do Super Bowl Sunday numbers.
If the people have another kid, their check gets bigger. If they are married, their check goes away. When their kids turn 18 the cycle repeats and compounds on itself.
Most of them will never escape it. It's modern day slavery.
