Those fights were so damn good! Chocolatito was a precision killer! GGG I thought was playing more possum to show he could go further rounds. He could of shut it down in the second.

Also, as far as torn rotator cuffs, it is actually pretty common, and a lot of the time it is not even symptomatic. I bet if all of us had a MRI on both shoulders today >20% of us would have torn rotator cuffs, especially those of us that are/were active playing sports. I agree that this is probably something PacMan has had a long time, and the timing of needing surgery is very suspicious, although he probably did aggravate it at some point in the training, which was why he was taking anti-inflammatories and painkillers.

Mayweather stripped of title he won in Pacquiao fight
Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been stripped of the welterweight world title he won after beating Filipino Manny Pacquiao this year for failing to comply with rules, the World Boxing Organization said on Monday.
Mayweather, who improved to 48-0 by beating Pacquiao in May, missed a deadline by which he had to pay a $200,000 sanctioning fee from the fight and vacate the junior middleweight title he also held, the WBO said in a statement.
The WBO said it is against rules for boxers to hold world titles in multiple weight classes and that Mayweather had to indicate which weight division he would retain.
Mayweather, who finished ahead on all three scorecards of what proved to be the top-grossing prize fight of all-time, had until 4:30 p.m. ET last Friday to advise the WBO of his position.
"The WBO World Championship Committee is allowed no other alternative but to cease to recognize Mr. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. as the WBO Welterweight Champion of the World and vacate his title, for failing to comply with our WBO Regulations of World Championship Contests," the WBO said in a statement.
Mayweather, who earned over $200 million from the fight which generated a record pay-per-view revenue in the United States of $400 million, has two weeks to launch an appeal.

He claims he was going to drop it anyway.
Mayweather's ego did this one. They gave him a clear deadline. He shrugged it off because he thinks he's above the rules. They stripped him of the belt, and now Ellerbe is bitching about it, like they didn't have the right to do it.
200k sanctioning fee. Goddamn.
Mayweather's final fight in September? Don't believe it

The public have no idea who Andre Berto is and he'll make a poor showing against Mayweather.Quote:
It is being reported across the boxing world that Mayweather has chosen Berto as his next opponent and will meet him Sept. 12 at the MGM Grand Garden, that the fight will be offered free on CBS as a goodwill gesture to fans for the colossal disappointment that was Mayweather against Manny Pacquiao in May.
It was a good decision about making the fight free on CBS instead of Pay-Per-View.
Pay-Per-View is now dead, thanks to Mayweather, he killed it, no one wants to pay to watch boxing anymore.
Of course it won't be Mayweather's last opponent, I bet he fights one last fight again next year.
Who will Floyd fight then? Is Ronda Rousey available?
http://static3.businessinsider.com/i...mayweather.png
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr looked like a bum... He had that guy outweighed by at least 15 pounds and couldn't look good... He jabbed for literally one round. I hope he fights GGG and gets knocked the fuck out.
I want to see Mayweather v McGregor. I can't think of a scenario where Conor doesn't KO Mayweather. Seriously!
To bad the Baldfather has Conor by the balls and Mayweather's a pussy.
I wish Rousey would shut her face tbh. Her n Mayweather bla bla bla never clicking it. She needs to stfu and make me a sandwich.
There's no scenario where Conor wouldn't beat the shit out of Mayweather in a cage. In a boxing ring, Mayweather would beat McGregor senseless.
Rousey is just using Mayweather's name to help her own. Funny she has nothing to say about War Machine, Tito Ortiz, etc. She was also pal'ing around with Mike Tyson earlier in the week. She's also bitter because Mayweather said "Never heard of him" when asked about Rousey.
I don't give a shit who he fights next, if it's free on CBS. They know no one is paying to watch him fight Berto, though.
I still think it's going to be Amir Khan.
I see you, Serial Fail. Come talk to me about it if you disagree. This is a discussion forum, not a "hide behind red rep like a pussy" forum. You know I'll smack you around like I used to on China's forum when you pm'd me begging me to stop being mean to you.
His left hand looked like it was broken in the post fight interview.
That said I agree, he looked very average at best. GGG would destroy him. It would most likely be embarrassing.Quote:
“I feel good. I feel strong, but I hurt my left [hand],” said Chavez, who did not specify when in the fight he thought he injured it. “I think it’s broken. I don’t know. I’ll see the doctor. This guy is a good boxer.
“With all respect to Reyes, I think if I didn’t hurt my hand, I would have knocked him out,” Chavez Jr. said. “I connected with the best punches to the chin and to the body. I hurt him, but I couldn’t finish him because I hurt my hand. If he wants a rematch, whatever. He never hurt me.”

SF, we both know that DID happen. You pm'd me crying that it "wasn't good for the users to see two mods arguing" and that I should just agree to prevent animosity.
It's just the internet, kiddo, don't be so scared.
Anyway, Klitschko and Fury finally got the fight signed. Should be decent for a while. Wladimir typically beats the hell out of tall heavy's though.

World class technique on display by Rousey.
LOL, she couldn't even beat the best women's boxer.
LOL $75 for Andre Berto.
Just when you thought this asshole couldn't become more unlikeable, he decides to make his retirement fight with a guy who has lost 3 of his last 6 fights, then comes out with this list...
Floyd Mayweather's top 5 boxers of all time:
- Floyd Mayweather
- Roberto Duran
- Pernell Whitaker
- Julio Cesar Chavez
- Muhammad Ali
It would be one thing if you just disagreed with his number 1 choice, but Roberto Duran and Pernell Whitaker rounding out the top 3? Is this guy smoking rocks now too?
"no one can ever brainwash me to make me believe that Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali was better than me."
Disgusting.

Rousey would bet on herself in 'fight' against Mayweather
http://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/...nst-mayweather
http://www.reviewjournal.com/sites/d...-ZINGANO_3.jpgQuote:
When asked who would win a no-holds barred fight between the superstars, Rousey expressed confidence in her abilities.
"Floyd is one of the best boxers of all time. He would definitely beat me in a boxing match. I unfortunately don't get into 'matches.' I fight for a living," she replied. "In a no-rules fight, I believe I can beat anyone on this planet. Boxing is a sweet science with strict rules that I respect very much and aspire every day to improve at.
"But you said ruleless fight, and that's my honest answer."
She needs to just hit Mayweather in the balls and he will go down and cry like a baby.
He says that "Ali didn't fight in multiple weight classes" haha.
Uhhh....he was a heavyweight, Floyd.
I don't really mind that he thinks he's the GOAT, though. I believe that a lot of fighters think it. He just says it, and it pisses people off because they hate him.
He spoke (apparently for way too long) at the Nevada HOF ceremony the other night and said something like "When I say TBE, I don't mean any disrespect to anyone. I just think you have to have that mindset." - I agree with that. Sugar Ray Leonard (who IMO is "TBE") said something similar.
I am a huge Robert "Manos de Piedra" Duran fan but he is not top 5, let alone 2nd greatest boxer ever. He was awesome to watch and hit much like Marciano used to during his era, but he is 9th or 8th TOPS.
I agree with Chavez's placement, the guy was a beast. Sugar Ray Robinson should be in the top 5, and how does Joe Louis not show up on his list?...
You know, I used to think Canelo would run right through him, but now I'm not so sure. Cotto can box, and Canelo struggles with boxers. They both gas. This one should be great. If Cotto starts losing the exchanges, he might get knocked out.
Speaking of good fights, Mares/Santa Cruz this weekend.
It will be interesting to see if anyone spends a dime to watch Mayweather vs Berto.
Will it be Mayweather's last fight? I doubt it.
Floyd is too busy to give a shit, he is busy buying $5 million cars.
Floyd Mayweather Takes $5 Million Car to Fatburger

Floyd Mayweather wasted no time flossin' in his brand new $5 million super car ... taking it out to his favorite restaurant in Vegas -- Fatburger ... TMZ Sports has learned.
The boxer had been gunning to buy the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita for months through his car guy Obi Okeke of Fusion Luxury Motors -- and when he finally took possession over the weekend, he was dyin' to take it for a spin.
We're told he parked the car outside of the Fatburger on the Vegas strip early Sunday morning ... and popped the hood to show people the ridiculously fast engine.
But after onlookers began to crowd the ride, Floyd decided he didn't want to risk driving it home -- too many obstacles -- so he called in a flatbed truck to safely return it to his mansion.

Not interested in watching anybody but Deontay Wilder.
Mares/Santa Cruz put on a good show last night. That entire ESPN card was damn good. From the first bout to the last.
Watched Mosley/Mayorga on a stream. Mayorga stood there and let Mosley tee off on him a couple of times, vintage El Matador. Mosley stopped him in the 6th with what was actually a REALLY nice liver shot.

This is a pretty awesome, long, damning article about USADA testing in boxing written by long time boxing writer Thomas Hauser. From giving TUEs after positive tests to taking weeks to inform commissions about results to pretty much charging way more than VADA but catching nobody doing anything in the process....
Highly recommended, especially after all the recent talk about IVs after weigh ins being prohibited by the WADA Code. USADA literally walked in on Mayweather getting his IV after weigh ins, and decided maybe they're not so prohibited this time (of course they told the commission.... 3 weeks later... with a retroactive TUE....)
Wasn't it Floyd Mayweather who wanted USADA drug testing in the first place?
Then Mayweather knowingly violates the rules because he's a fucking cheater.
No wonder Mayweather looked more energized and fresh in his fight against Pacquiao.
Report: Floyd Mayweather received banned IVs before Pacquiao fight
http://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/...pacquiao-fight
Quote:
Floyd Mayweather Jr. received banned intravenous vitamin injections the day before his May 2 megafight against Manny Pacquiao that didn't comply with World Anti-Doping Agency guidelines, according to a lengthy SB Nation report on drug testing in boxing written by Thomas Hauser.
Quote:
Collection agents for the USADA went to Mayweather's Las Vegas home to give him a random drug test after the fight's May 1 weigh-in and "found evidence of an IV being administered" to the boxer.
http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnnnext/dam...xlarge-169.jpgQuote:
According to Mayweather's medical team, he was given two different mixtures of saline and vitamins to address dehydration concerns. While the mixes themselves aren't prohibited by WADA standards, their IV administration is prohibited by WADA guidelines because an IV infusion "can dilute or mask the presence of another substance that is already in the recipient's system or might be added to it in the near future."
Good read about the 1960's gay boxer Emile Griffith.

Damn, look at how big Oscar's head is in that picture. Probably doing a lot of hGH. From what I understand Oscar has been juicing it up and is in good shape and looking for a payday fight. Maybe him and Hopkins can give it another go around. Of course, he would have to find some way to pass all the drug tests.
Berto/Mayweather Over Rounds 11.5 at -240 is easy money
You forgot one important thing...
And Pacquiao is being a huge faggot about it...Quote:
However a USADA source later told AFP that because Mayweather obtained a TUE (therapeutic use exemption), no offence had been committed under WADA rules.
"Mr. Mayweather's use of the IV was not prohibited under the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) rules at that time and would not be a violation of the NSAC rules today," a USADA statement added.

No Manny, you weren't "vindicated".Quote:
Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao declared he was vindicated over previous drugs allegations from Floyd Mayweather after his American rival was accused of violating anti-doping rules before their mega-fight.
Pacquiao said the "truth finally came out" after it emerged Mayweather received an injection of vitamins and minerals in the build-up to their fight in Las Vegas in May.
Mayweather and the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) have both insisted the boxer's actions were legal after a report on the SB Nation sports news website said he had broken World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules.
"Truth finally came out and I was vindicated," Pacquiao said in a brief statement to reporters in the Philippines late on Thursday.
"(The) Mayweather camp accused me of using PEDs (performance-enhancing drugs). Now look what happened.
"I hope Floyd Mayweather would learn a good lesson out of (the experience)."
I've been a huge Pac fan for a long time, and I HATE Mayweather. This pretty much puts the nail in the coffin for me as far as Pac is concerned. Any excuse he can come up with as to why he lost that fight he has used, and IMO it's pathetic. He lost, badly, and nothing was going to change the outcome of that fight. Hurt shoulder, Floyd injecting vitamins and saline (OMG, HE INJECTED VITAMINS AND SALINE), none of it matters. Mayweather was and is the better boxer, period.
And seriously, vitamins and saline is what we're talking about here. Not PED's, vitamins and saline, and he had the correct permission to do so. You can spin this anyway you want as there is a lot of protocol when it comes to filing the proper paperwork for shit like this, but the fact is Mayweather broke no rules here, and even if he did... Vitamins and saline the day before a fight are hardly something to claim you were vindicated over.
Manny was being accused of using EPO, HGH and steroids, not vitamins and saline. Big fucking difference. An injection of vitamins and saline, which is extremely common before fights, does not warrant claiming you've been vindicated while you were being accused of using some serious shit. Saying shit like this just makes him look even more petty, guilty and stupid.
Considering this is essentially the same bet surprised such a big difference.
I don't have a line for Mayweather by decision, but I checked 2 books and both are at O11.5 -200 (which in my mind is the exact same thing) which is right in the middle of lines you guys posting.
