Not saying it will win but +1800 Maye first TD is Grand Bet Larceny.
I had Detroit teased to 0.5 where other bet had already won AND I had St. Brown TD prop. Them calling that pick play was 800 swing for me. Just beat after beat after beat. All season. So brutal.
This is insane. I have Over in Ravens-Patiots. In first half there has been 3 turnovers in scoring position. Has cost me somewhere between 9-21 points.
Both teams moving the ball pretty good and game should be well on its way to over and not even close. Brutal brutal brutal.
Chefs kiss Lamar left early and no clue if he is going to play 2nd half.
i had 550 on bucks 11.5 thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats a yup for me yall
WTF. On a long bomb the Ravens defender just tackled the Patriots receiver when the ball was in the air and the refs just let it go. How do you not call that?
Even the Ravens defender sat with a dejected look on his face because he knew he gave up a 50 yard play. But the refs said "fuck it" and let it go.
Insane.
Edit: And Patriots score (and game goes over) 4 plays later anyways.
Airballed both picks today, though both were close.
I did live bet Buffalo under at a higher total so I won that.
Went 4-1 on props so it was a decent day financially despite going 0-2 on posted picks.
I am enjoying this Pats game. Just wow
NHL takes a holiday break. It must occurred to me to sign up for a gambling break with the books so I avoid the temptation to bet NFL for bored action.
Wonder if I would risk getting permanently flagged as a degenerate. 2 guys show up at my front door with white shirts and a skinny black tie asking if I’ve heard the good word.
I have been super disciplined betting what I have an edge with and avoiding sin
A little bit related:
In early 2002, my cell phone rang with an unfamiliar number on caller ID. This was in the days before the spam calls we presently despise.
I was at work. I quietly answered the phone. I heard a southern accent on the other end.
"Hi Todd? This is Mike Sexton."
What?? Mike Sexton was calling me?
"I'm just calling because we see you were a very active player on Party Poker, and have stopped playing for the past 2 months. Is there something wrong?"
I told him that I was just taking a break. I had gone into a slump on there and needed a reset.
"Okay, well I just want to let you know that we appreciate your business on Party Poker, and look forward to your action at the tables soon."
RIP Mr. Sexton
I remember this story. A story that illustrates who Mike Sexton was at that time and what the state of online was too. It’s almost impossible to convey to someone 20 years younger why that call was special.
Mike so close to a lottery winner and reduced to making customer calls. No tears. I believe that.
RIP Mr Sexton.
I was a referee for a few years. Ive watched football my entire adult life and a good portion of my childhoold.
When I say this I am not trying to overstate something for comedy or because I feel like I need to be dramatic to make a point.
The non call for PI against Boute was the absolute worst non call I have ever seen on a NFL field.
If there isnt a statement or some sort of "so and so is not eligible to participate in playoff games" I am not sure they can call themselves serious anymore.
Pass interference has ruined the NFL for me. The game is soft and subjective. Jerry Rice nods head.
It’s fun to watch sometimes if you aren’t vested. Watching people melt down over ticky tack subjective shit offers schadenfreude. That’s fun too.
The new NFL media campaign is telling. The feel good nonsense masks a long term strategy.

NFL kind of got saved that Patriots converted on the 4th and 2 and went on to win the game anyways. Would have been a major shit show if that hadn't happened. That non call could easily have cost Patriots the division AND kicked Steelers out of playoffs; on top of all the gambling shit.
Easily one of the worst calls I have ever seen. Luckily, it didn't affect my wager.
Are these odd (bad) calls happening more frequently, or do we just notice more with all the wagering that occurs now.
I am still stinging from a call (by a coach) 3 weeks ago, when Raiders down by 10 points 24-14, with 3 seconds to go, Pete Carroll decided to kick a field goal on the games final play. It cost me the point spread (Denver -9.5) and the total (under 40)
If there were 30 seconds left, you can understand it. You kick the FG, try onsides kick and if successful maybe a couple hail Mary's. But there were 3 seconds left. This was going to be the final play. There was no time for any onsides kicks or hail Mary's.
It almost seems like there was a suspicious motive, but I don't think there was. I would love to hear what he was thinking though?
Pete Rose always said he never bet against his team. He never said he didn't bet ON his team. How do we know Pete Carroll didn't have Raiders +9.5, when he made that odd decision?
As per this non call. I see calls where 3-4 umpires throw the flag on the same call. It is hard to believe that no referee/umpire saw this penalty. Should have seen that from 30-40 yards away.
Wouldn't it be better to make the call and the coach can challenge if he wants, than to not make the call when that is not challengeable?
