Damn I had no idea they are now 4-46 from 3 in last 3 games. No idea how that’s possible. Last I saw they were draining threes beating Gonzaga at Gonzaga earlier this year. Bet regret on this one as they seem to now be gunshy and no way they are winning trying to work the ball in against more athletic team. They need to go down firing

Shit day. I am unlikely to put any real money on any of these games at this point. I much prefer the conference championships. I am just throwing darts with a vig at these games. Those obscure games have little exposure to the books. These games are all on point. Like Florida is great but can they be up 12 and win by 8? Absolutely. I would bet them before UConn but it would be pure guessing. Baseball is around the corner.

I’ll get on it. I found a new hustle today. NCAA women. First quarter. The higher seeds host the game. I figure it’s a big deal. First game was NC State and I bet -1.5 first quarter and they won like 25-9 or something. Offering me +102 on second. They looked so much quicker I said fuck it. They won second quarter by 6.

Skipped Texas because they got off to a slow start against 16 seed last time and it was like -5.5 first quarter.

Onto Oklahoma. Got off to fast start last time. Iowa didn’t. Won by like 8.

Onto Maryland. Game was only .5 for the game. But Maryland at home and got off to fast start and they are giving me +120 for first quarter. They won by like 4.

Opted for first half with LSU because both got off hot last time were -4 for first and -6.5 for first half. Just started. Probably lose now that I have posted it, but I was betting purely on the psychology of quick starts by better teams finally getting some attention and decent crowd and tv. It has worked out marvelously so far today.

Damn first covered. Should have stuck with the system. Hopefully first half covers. Nope I fucked myself. First quarters.

Higher seed is going to cover 6-2 in first quarter for today. 7-1 by half. I had the only loser. Most covered quite easily. Something to remember next year. Just stumbled upon it today from a $200 bonus bet that I threw at the first one and went forward with. I can’t watch women’s basketball but the higher seed getting homecourt is a powerful thing. I set a reminder in my phone for next year to be on this earlier. I mean it’s 30-10 USC right now in second quarter. Most of these games give you like a first quarter/first half option roughly half of total spread and they all blow way past it. You have like 8 good teams and the disparity is huge.

It’s a meaningless game in my opinion. Both teams playing for the best record which they call the Presidents Cup in hockey. Hockey people joke about how the Presidents Cup winners inherit a curse.

Chychrun could be out tonight. If he misses, it’ll break a 58 game streak of the Capitals having the same 6 defensemen. Not sure if this is actionable but an interesting stat as the Capitals might have to work out the chemistry with Alexeyev being slotted back in. He hasn’t played much this season.


I’m passing Ovi and sides but will certainly be watching.

I joked a while ago that Ovi will have the puck and a wide open empty net the last game of the year and he will dish to Strome and become a motherf@%king legend of unselfishness as he has been this whole race. Teammates love him. This isn’t the NBA.

This “perverse” approach to the race to catch Gretzky is so “hockey”. The team supersedes individual. You throw down the gloves and fight to protect your teammate.

Ticket prices for Capitals games go through the roof next year which is the inverse of Boston tickets.

I thought Jerami Grant was done for year. He is now listed as GTD. I will be looking to see if he's playing come 930 EST and eat the penalty for cancelling should he play. Only so many shots to go around and he scores like 7-10 in games Grant plays. Just an fyi to any of the lurkers who may have bit on my bet.

They still owe Grant $100 million, so I am guessing they have some hope he is movable, but they are better from what little I see without him in his current state.

I was bullish on St Johns all year, did well on them. I stayed away from them this game because my gut told me Arkansas is on a heater. My biggest win this past weekend was UCONN against Arkansas State, Women's. When UCONN was up like 17-2 in the first half, the OVER line jumped to 151. I am like WTF, its clear Arkansas State cant score, so I drop a grand. Not two minutes later the over jumped to 156, I was like wtf are people seeing that I am not. I knew Geno would get up by like 65 and put the scrubs in at the 4th. He did and UCONN scored 11 in the 4th quarter and the total came in like 135. Easiest bet I have made in a very long time. But yeah I got killed on the Auburn-Creighton under later that night. Took under 149.5 and some garbage time in the last minute got it to Auburn 82-70. If these fucking coaches just would shut it down the last minute when the game is clearly lost we could actually make money in this racket. But no they have to fucking foul and go to the line.
