Both she and her ex-husband are in mourning for their dad.
Supposedly an existing drug, steroid dexamethasone, has been found to somewhat help patients who are hospitalized with coronavirus.

It has not been shown to be a "cure" in any way, though, and does not seem to initial symptoms from worsening -- only seems to hold it back (in some people) from turning critical or deadly.
Still, good news.
great contributions druff, thanks for that.

Six months and we still don’t really understand this thing. One of the first things they said was no steroids, they lower immune system. Now they help, a little, if you’re half dead anyway.
Been living normal. Gym yesterday and today. Little league game last night. Grad ceremony tonight and golf tomorrow. They’ll probably find smoking crack helps in a few months based on toxicology survival rates. I’m avoiding indoors besides the gym. Keeping my distance. If I can touch something and get it, I’m toast. If I’m not sick in a few weeks, I’ll be good to fall.
I have a super strict DNR on file with my lawyer. Basically they’d have to drag me to ventilator if it got that bad. Knock me out and only wake me back up if I have zero neurological and no detectable lung damage. I’m out on everything else.
We only have four nice months here. I assume this is coming back with vengeance in the fall. We are in yolo mode until then. I’ll take a week eventually and make sure I’m ok, then visit parents every day, then back to life.
In my area we have flattened the curve to the point where new cases are rare.
Open it up for summer let it rip then in Sept/Oct shut things down until the vaccine is here (fingers crossed January 2021).
Thankfully Justin is keeping the border closed for another month.
This "it's the flu" thing was created by Fox News to fool idiots like you.
Scientists and doctors who actually know say it is much worse than the flu and the statistics bear that out.
They're no plumbers, but hey we can't all be as smart as someone who went to a fancy NE school.
LOL, Fauci for the win!!!! He hasn't been wrong yet.

Taking medical advice from political pundits, real smart Dwai.
CDC: Some Americans are misusing cleaning products — including drinking them — in effort to kill coronavirus

Trump says that 'if we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases' of the coronavirus.
And if Trump stopped being President right now, we'd all be happier than shit and optimistic about the future.

16 friends get virus after night out. Hear their warning.
Cuomo Prime Time
A group of 16 friends went out to a crowded Florida bar to celebrate a birthday have all tested positive for coronavirus. They're telling CNN's Chris Cuomo that it was too soon to be around large crowds, and going out without a mask was a mistake
https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2020/0...s/coronavirus/
Except none of these 16 got very sick. Like 13 of them had very mild symptoms, and about 3 felt like they had the flu.
Why? Because they're relatively young. The chick who had the birthday party was 40 (presumably that's why she wanted to celebrate, since it was a big birthday), but the other two look younger than that, and I presume the other 13 are also mostly (or all) under 40. (The 40-year-old was one of the people to get the flu-like symptoms.)
If anything, this shows that the under-40 crowd is pretty safe from this, which is what I keep saying.
If I weren't near 50 myself, I wouldn't be sweating this very much. It's time to be honest that the young people are pretty safe from this, and let them run free unless they live with older people.
The middle-aged and the older people are the ones who need to be more cautious, especially the old people.
yep let em run free to spread the disease even more than it already has
We can't keep everyone locked up forever.
Since there is no vaccine or cure around the corner, the best idea is to reopen the economy aimed at the younger people who aren't in much danger, with those middle aged or older making their own personal decisions on their risk level.
This also might bring herd immunity faster.
There's no point to keep up this charade that under-35 people are in danger. If everyone experienced the disease like the under-35 crowd, we wouldn't even be talking about it. There's a few with preexisting conditions, or who are really unlucky, that get it badly or die. The rest of them tend to get it mildly.
Even the two known PFA coronavirus cases (Sloppy Joe and Drawingdead) are both in their early 30s and didn't have a bad experience with it. That seems to be very common, whereas it seems common that mid-40s people get knocked out for 2 weeks with the worst illness they've ever had, and often their lungs don't feel the same when it's over.
It's just a huge difference in the expectation of severe/damaging symptoms, and it's time we are honest about it and act accordingly.
Oh but don't you see the difference here Druff? Big bird is a stay at home husband who rarely leaves the safety his the house his wife provides for him. The lock up rules won't affect him at all while he sits on his leather ass in front of a computer screen all day making his family proud. Typical hypocritical liberal who wants someone else to to bear the pain while spends his stimulus check. He should be embarrassed, but he's too stupid to realize it. Maybe if his dad told him to he would?
It’s only tangentially relevant to the discussion at best but the fact that you assume someone celebrating turning 40 is joined by 16 of their friends who mostly (or all!) happen to be under 40 to help make your point is ridiculous. It’s on brand for you to make giant assumptions based on little information (bonus points here by basing it on females looks!). Again it’s not really relevant and I’m not commenting on the actual subject matter just calling attention to something you regularly do that’s completely unnecessary and distracts from the larger discussion.
If anything assuming this person just happens to be the oldest of their 17 friends based on judging two of their friends looks weakens your argument. If you assume instead they probably fall somewhere in the middle of the distribution curve of age range it just illustrates that people near age 40+ (instead of arbitrary cutoff of 39 and under) are at little risk of serious complications from Covid.
