Now I do see the channel has been totally deleted and it was basically left up as a non active channel with the videos still up for a while. I would think the decision was made to fully delete the channel and we will never know the exact reason. The “travel” and spending more time with family excuse was utter nonsense. This guy loved to flaunt his money and gamble. 0% that’s the reason.
Three things I will add.
1) He would basically only post winning sessions or sessions where he didn’t get crushed. Playing as big as he did he would have to have shoes that would wipe him out with that volume of play. I never saw a video showing that.
2) He made ridiculous tips and made sure to make a big deal of it and even highlight it in his written recap after the play. We are talking 5K on a 15K winning session. Stuff like that.

I personally couldn't care less about the drama about who's feuding with whom (unless it's Atredies vs Harkonnen, that I understand), but I did enjoy MG's videos. I have no doubts that his Blackjack videos were suspiciously all positive with few, if any, actual losing sessions. Same with his slot play, his wins outpaced his losses more than I thought was realistic. But I really enjoyed the format where he just played the game and let us tag along, as opposed to always cutting to himself or Gretchen for a reaction shot, or fist-bumping each other, or just endless babbling at their audience.
And I really like how they set stop-losses for each game. That's something I've added to my own play.

Vegas Matt Fanduel update:
Periodically I would check to see how Vegas Matt was going to move forward with the Fanduel content. Considering the backlash and him being openly pissed off about the reception of this first video, I figured they were going to figure out a way to do things differently.
So the other day I open YouTube and there is a Vegas Matt Fanduel video. However, this video is not on Vegas Matt’s YouTube channel which has over 450K subs. It is on about a 2 month old “Fanduel Casino” YouTube channel which currently has about 12.6K subs.
Matt did his first video a little over 3 weeks ago on this channel and has done 2 subsequent videos. With one video getting 30K views, another 50k and a third getting 70K. Now, this channel is literally getting less than 100 views on most videos. So its formation almost seems like its main purpose was the Vegas Matt content.
I do not think Matt has plugged this channel on his main channel. It looks like the YouTube algorithm is pushing people over. Just like it did on my account.
I think this was a good move by Matt by working out this compromise. I can’t imagine this was the initial plan. His main channel continues to grow while the genre is so over saturated and many channels are flat lining in terms of growth. A lot of grimy channels just reposting old videos or making channels with different names and trying to double dip with old content.
Matt having this separation really works in his favor. Allows him to not have to even worry about the Fanduel stuff while it’s on a separate channel. I don’t think he wanted to fuck with his channel at all and I don’t blame him. Because putting this Fanduel content on this much smaller channel will of course greatly limit its exposure.
Like I said before, I think Matt was off base for the most part by the reaction. Think almost everyone who watches his content knows he’s well off and isn’t going to be upset about him making more money with Fanduel.
The reaction was mainly because people had this impression (somewhat wrongly) that Matt was just gambling big with mostly his own money and he had no other clear motivation for the channel other than that. That just wasn’t the case and I don’t blame Matt. Maybe there are a number of “haters” that piled on but mainly his move just took some of his less savvy audience by surprise.
I think as long as his view count on these Fanduel videos grow he will never have to post it on his main channel. They seem to be doing just fine. Like most with a large YouTube channel Matt is very protective about it.
He sticks to these 30 min - hour edited videos. He never goes live. His collaborations with other creators almost exclusively appear on the other creator’s channel. He will give them a bump, but he’s not going to mess with his formula. Again, I can’t blame him. It’s a very lucrative thing, but it also doesn’t really belong to you. It’s belongs to Google.
