Some observations:

At the very least, Trump knew his close friend likes to fuck kids. I can’t believe the number of people here thinking this little detail isn’t that bad. You are obviously free to believe whatever you want, but if you say “I don’t believe any organized ring existed that provided underage girls to prominent men,” you are rejecting:

- a civil settlement admitting liability by a senior royal,
- consistent testimony from dozens of victims over 20+ years,
- and thousands of pages of court documents, flight logs, and police reports.

That is the textbook definition of a conspiracy theory: asserting that official court findings, guilty verdicts, and victim testimony are all fabricated or mistaken in service of some hidden truth.

The Epstein pedophile ring encompasses intelligence and geopolitics. That Epstein held this much influence (and why) is the story of our times. What did Epstein bring to the table? It lends insight into academia, business and government we did not possess previously. People should be made to answer.

I am not so sure how true that is. But even if it was, the US used partial or full arms embargo’s on Israeli in 3 different wars to manipulate their actions towards an outcome we wanted. And I am sure a lot of Israeli soldiers died because of this. And we are doing something similar in this war, although many feel we are giving Israel too much leash. And guess what, Israeli soldiers are dying in part because of our restrictions.

Soldiers die in wars. And when they are fighting for empires it is often going to be a long way from home. And there is a valid argument a lot more Israelis have died for us than the other way around. If we don’t embargo Israel in 1948 and Just let them win, maybe things would be a lot better for anyone now.

But we were balancing our perceived responsibility for the Jewish refugees with our interests in Arab and Persian oil, and they told us emphatically if we wanted access to said oil not to let Israel win, and we chose the route we chose. And the rest is history.

I think it’s interesting as a story. I am not sure we should be in a moral panic letting ourselves be emotionally manipulated by bad actors (IMO) the way we are. The events in question happened 20 years ago. Epstein died 5 years ago. We are going though a moral panic now because bad actors are using emotional manipulation to push their desired political outcomes today.

I think this is fairly obvious and not going to lead towards any good outcome for us as a nation.

Being emotionally manipulated over pedophile ring hysteria doesn’t seem any better than castigating Germany indefinitely using emotional blackmail over the Holocaust.
Which IMO there is way too much of, and the German people themselves need to stop doing so and move on as much as anyone else.
