Doesnt look too bad http://www.weather.com/weather/hourb...graph/USWV0507
could be a lot worse
Yeah, I'm sticking with 70.5 I locked in but not adding more like I was thinking about doing. With the weather it's hard to say except I think it will go either 10+ over or 10+ under.
On another note Bryant went hard in the second half to win 31-3 today after it was 3-3 at the half.
sigh why can't we have one thread per sport.
Now I have to check NCCA, NFL, whatever else and this one.
simpdog raises a good point.
I like these running sportsbetting threads, but some better organization would be helpful.
I might make official betting threads for each major sport, and then ask everyone to stop creating new threads for their own picks.

Riding all of these picks blindly...
We could have a misc. thread like this for random betting but yeah the College Football and NFL threads would be best.
The problem really isn't this thread it's that whenever a game comes up someone loves they create a lock thread for it.
Exactly!
NFL
College Football
NBA/NCAA Basketball
MLB (next year)
And then what about having just a "OFFICIAL Post Your Sports LOCKS Here" thread that is designed for key picks someone feels are good. For those who love tracking stats we could have a little competition where 1-2 locks a week no matter what sport and see where everyone is in 10 weeks,etc...
If we want to we could create a LOCK pool out of it. What I propose is anyone who wants in puts up $10 or $20 (or whatever amount not trying to shut out small timers though) with the rules being one lock minimum and two maximum per week. The person with the highest winning percentage at the end of 10 weeks wins the pool money. All escrowed through Druff of course.
One guideline I'd have is you must have made at least 15 picks total and only allowed to miss one week throughout the ten otherwise it's a slight deduction in your end totals. The reason for that rule is to throw a curve ball but most importantly keep the thread active.
Anyone who posts the same LOCK that someone else already has we can determine if it shouldn't count, if they are allowed to do that just once, or what it will be. I don't wouldn't want to shut out people who aren't regularly on the forum if they can't get here to post a lock but the same time we don't need people who just completely tail others picks trying to use them as their own Locks.
Now with all that said LOL at this TCU/WVU game. 20 early points and then nothing the rest of the half.
21 quick points in the TCU/WVU game

Quick rundown of Todays card. Baylor rolled as I expected.
Georgia got out 7-0 and I was feeling good there. Then Florida ran a fake punt and scored and then racked up like 500 yards on the ground. year in and year out we here how Georgia is a contender. I was never a big Georgia believer but with the way Florida has been playing I thought they may roll them. I was wrong.
WV played TCU tough and led most of the game and lost on a last second field goal. Officials missed a 2 handed facemask in the 1st q that would have given WV 1st and goal or close to that. But I didnt watch the whole game so the refs prob missed some the other way too
Kinda got fucked in the Wazzou game. Total was 67 it landed on like 61. Nations leading passer for Wazzou left after 2 attempts.
CSU was a tight game but they covered. I am a big believer in their coach and they have GREAT skill guys and a good vet QB
Looks like Auburns O won the battle vs OLE miss D which is stout. That is one offense that RARELY gets slowed down but I thought today might have been that day but nope. Auburn wins another one by inches.
Oregon rolled and Mariotta gets a big game for his Heisman push even though Stanford is not very good this year. But he does have a win vs Michigan State too
OSU shut down Illinois like expected but Illinois just couldnt stop them AT ALL and then they got a couple late garbage TDS
Worst coached Fresno game I have seen in a while. They start a highly touted freshman at home coming off a bye but the kid was scared as hell. he would drop back and have no pressure and make one read and then panic. Coach waited way too long to pull him at half they maybe could have made it a game.
4-7 today

Interesting factoid more then an endorsement for a play.....
The Under is 10-0 in the last ten meetings between San Diego and Miami. The total for their Week 9 contest is 45.
FYI there has been some snow spotted in the area and it is cold damp windy and has been raining non stop for 3 days
GL manning
Another interesting tidbit.

Dallas hasn't received less than 25% of spread bets since November of 2006. #Cowboys currently receiving just 22% of spread bets today
blizzard for pats/broncos.
Under 54.5?
Or the weather favors pats now? I liked Denver before I saw the update
It is now snowing where I am (I am 40 mins from stadium). Depends really , if it is snowing most QBS can throw it and defenders usually lose footing etc so sometimes there is a shitload of points. If it is really wet rain that comes down hard it is tougher to throw a football. Brady is usually excellent in these conditions. Manning on the other hand blows in these conditions. I like the under though. I'd expect the patriots to take away as much of the Denver passing game as they can and at the same time Denvers D is pretty tough. I'm not betting anything on the game though
looks pretty bad there, 40 MPH winds
