Grats to Newhouse.
I always thought that kid seemed like a genuine dude that just had tons of leaches latching on to him.
Hope he has gained some perspective from the past 8 or 9 years and is able to stay on top for awhile.

His eyes are creepy as fuck in some of the close ups.
is that broad's hair pink?
still splash, but guess the drapes match the indoors...
Congratulations to J.C. Tran on his inevitable win of the 2013 WSOP main event.
Mark Newhouse would have a better chance of winning the California lottery than the main event.
Someone has to break this WSOP record of 20 something jerkoffs winning the main event since 2008.
:kermit
Odds:
The most value is usually taking someone in the middle who is solid imo.Quote:
J.C. Tran 9/5 38,000,000 chips
Amir Lehavot 9/2 29,700,000 chips
Marc McLaughlin 5/1 26,525,000 chips
Ryan Riess 6/1 25,875,000 chips
Jay Farber 15/2 25,975,000 chips
Sylvain Loosli 8/1 19,600,000 chips
Michiel Brummelhuis 12/1 11,275,000 chips
Mark Newhouse 15/1 7,350,000 chips
David Benefield 15/1 6,375,000 chips
A bit off topic but the latest ridiculous entrance from Phil Hellmuth at a WPT in Venice. This happened a few months back but I guess it aired on Fox Sports Networks last night:

micon had him on last night
So, assuming he doesn't just stiff everyone he owes $$ to, what place does Newhouse have to get in to actually walk away with some $$. Keeping in mind he probably has a backer(s), has %'s swapped, and owes a shit ton of $$ around town, he might need to end up in the top 5 to actually walk away with some $$.
Yeah, I believe you are mistaking Neverwin for Newhouse.
Yeah,
I am assuming he is actually going to pay the people he owes money too. That is why I think he is going to have to place very high to actually walk away with anything substantial.
Here is an article on Newhouse from my local paper. Newhouse says he will keep about 50% of whatever he wins.
I made every mistake I could make, said Newhouse from Los Angeles, where he is a frequent cash-game player at the Commerce Casino. I lost my mind, and that lasted for a couple of years. Having a lot of money at 21, youre clueless and you dont know what youre doing. It takes being down and out to know who your real friends are.
World Series of Poker. It's all in for Chapel Hill poker player Newhouse

I can get Mark Newhouse +1750 (17.5 to 1). Watcha think? Was thinking of doing $60 to win $1,050
17.5 to 1 is a bad bet, imo.
Let's suppose, if blinds were constant, based on math of starting stacks, you'd need at least 25-1 to take a shot.
But with blinds increasing, and NLHE game strategy factored in, odds are way higher.
17.5 to 1 on hizzle is a terrible spot.
Pass.
I would think the increasing blinds/relatively short stacks would be somewhat of an advantage for Mark. It's going to be easier for him to double up and spin up a stack. The big stacks won't be able to maneuver and leverage their stacks as much.
Curious how you came up with the 25 to 1. I'm not sure how to do the math on this one.
This is a novelty bet only. This is not a spot.
Math can only be based on relative starting stacks, but while math is arguably a factor in determining the outcome, you know there are many other factors, including luck and skill, of equal or greater importance.
If the line was based just on math of starting stacks, these would be fair odds.
1. JC Tran : $38,000,000 4 TO 1
2. Amir Lehavot : $29,700,000 11 TO 2
3. Marc-Etienne McLaughlin : $26,525,000 6 TO 1
4. Jay Farber : $25,975,000 6 TO 1
5. Ryan Riess : $25,875,000 6 TO 1
6. Sylvain Loosli : $19,600,000 9 TO 1
7. Michiel Brummelhuis : $11,275,000 16 TO 1
8. Mark Newhouse : $7,350,000 25 TO 1
9. David Benefield : $6,375,000 29 TO 1
But good luck with hizzle if you gotta have a sweat there.
Didn't take the bet. I may or may not later for a small amount. Appreciate the info tho
Bumping for Main Event tonight at 8pm ET /5pm PT.
newhizzle gonna have to get lucky to go deep but good luck to the kid.
Very good final table for poker and the fans this year.
Lehavot is probably going to be tough to beat, doubt he fires off chunks.
Newhouse is a good story, will watch.
