Weird how some of these aren't posting properly. Can't figure it out.
Anyway, pretty good day.
First table was tougher than my second table, but neither were all that tough. I expect a lot tougher tomorrow, as a lot of the donks have been eliminated.
25075 going into Level 9 (300/600/75), with a 19.4k average stack.
Can't see table assignment yet until 6B completes.

did men the master really retweet todd?
i feel like this is rather odd given his history of collusion

He's about as Men the Master as DougLeePoker is Doug Lee, I would guess. With no other info, I'd say there is zero chance Men is on twitter, follows Todd, and retweets something Todd tweeted.

Todd's table draw
Quote:
301 Gordon Johnson KAMLOOPS, BC, CA 15,560 Pavillion / 177 / 1
302 Jason Hallock Sherman Oaks, CA, US 9,725 Pavillion / 177 / 2
303 John Hanley BAY SHORE, NY, US 13,525 Pavillion / 177 / 3
304 Mark Parsons Highlands Ranch, CO, US 10,350 Pavillion / 177 / 4
305 Phiet Ho Friendswood, TX, US 9,750 Pavillion / 177 / 5
306 Scott Darter Sherwood, AR, US 10,425 Pavillion / 177 / 6
307 Jason Everett CHARLOTTE, NC, US 49,175 Pavillion / 177 / 7
308 Josh Arieh ALPHARETTA, GA, US 6,575 Pavillion / 177 / 8
309 Tristan Wade BOYNTON BEACH, FL, US 32,125 Pavillion / 177 / 9
310 Todd Witteles LAS VEGAS, NV, US 25,075 Pavillion / 177 / 10
Everett has almost 200k in tourney winnings too, but I never really heard of him.
Looks like Johnson has a couple small cashes too but nothing significant.
Great seat position though. Probably going to get a shove from Arieh while Todd's in the big blind, good chance to pick up some chips there. Also, sitting to the left of 2 relatively big stacks for this field.

Thanks for that research. Really appreciated.
I have history with both Arieh and Wade.
In 2003, I was pretty much a boss on Pokerstars, and was likely the biggest limit hold 'em winner on the entire site. The biggest game running that year was 30-60. One of the guys I was consistently beating was named "AtlAngela". At first I thought it was a woman, but I quickly realized it wasn't. This person had an avatar with a gorilla with a cigarette. I talked a lot of trash in poker chat back in those days, so I kept saying "shock the money" every time I won a pot from AtlAngela. He got really pissed, and often cursed me. Well, eventually I came to find out that "the monkey" was Josh Arieh, and then shortly after I found out, he made it to the final 3 in the 2004 Main Event (finishing behind David Williams and Greg Raymer). He approached me in person in 2005 and introduced himself, after it got around who "Dan Druff" really was. He didn't act angry at me, probably because he had done very well since his days as "the monkey".
Of course, I tweeted "#shockthemonkey" today at him, hoping to go back to those heady days of 2003.
With Tristan, my memory is not quite so sweet. I had made Day 6 of the 2010 Main Event. Tristan had a fairly big stack, while I had a half-of-average type stack -- which was pretty much the stack I had been riding since the middle of Day 2. Early in the day, someone raised, and it folded to my BB -- or so I thought. I flipped up my 85o just to show I wasn't calling, thinking the hand was over. But it wasn't! Turned out someone had called the raise and I didn't see, so technically I had committed an "intentionally exposed card" violation. The dealer didn't say anything, nor did anyone in the hand. However, Tristan told the dealer to call the floor to give me a penalty, and indeed I was given one. The floor guy said he felt bad for me and wished he didn't have to, but that they had been strictly enforcing the exposed card rule, and since it was clear I violated it, he had no choice. I was seething as I watched my chips blind off from my shortish stack for 20 minutes. I did survive for several more hours, eventually busting 88th after losing a QQ/AK suited race, but I always wondered what would have happened that year if Tristan never called the penalty.
Tristan later apologized via Twitter.
Glad I have position on them both, and mostly have position on the 49k big stack. With average being around 19k, it's also nice that this table has mostly short stacks. My play style, in general, works better against short and semi-short stacks.
You are correct that Josh will likely shove fairly soon. Cost per round will be 1575, so his M is only about 4.

i think you should say "shock the monkey" after every pot won. regardless if arieh is at the table or not.
