its really hard to stress enough that america has been completely indoctrinated into being an israeli vassal state, while the rest of the world sees israel as religious weirdo right wing death cultists.
the boomers were so gullible they believed everything they were told, and worse, allowed the Israeli state to at first buy its way into our government to the point where now they just own it.
this will change slowly as they lessen their clutch over power. but yeah, just another reason so much of the rest of the world hates us.

i was good friends with a politician on the state level here and especially when he/she first ran and every cycle afterwards many of the usual special interest groups pepper the candidates with questions related to their pet issues. one of the big ones was obviously related to his/her views on israel/jews.
i am sure that doesn't come as a surprise, but i share it to show you how insidious and far reaching they have their claws into these folks -- many of whom move up the ranks, first in leadership, then into larger positions. they keep the receipts so to say.

So if you told me this policy, and poor training/discipline, led to civilians being inadvertently hit by bullets richochet off the ground, that is plausible. And I cant really wrap my mind around how in 2025 this could happen with zero video evidence ever seeing the light of day.
