Masculinity is mostly just acting in a traditionally male fashion.

You can have a dude who is muscular, hunts, rides motorcycles, and can kick ass at nearly any sport he plays, but if he speaks with a lisp and has effeminate affectations, people are going to see him as far less masculine than a typically-male-acting 120-pound computer nerd who can't do any of these things.

That's where Walz ran into issues. He came off as spastic and effeminate, plus had a habit of telling pointless lies. At that point, it didn't matter if they tried to frame him as a football coach or a guy who works on his car on the weekends.

When I used to look at the personal ads in the newspaper, I would see in the gay section that many dudes were requesting partners who were "straight acting". That was code for masculine, in the sense that the guy would be indiscernible to the public from a straight man.

The term soyboy is typically associated with the left because these guys often have (or deliberately take on) feminine mannerisms or styles, almost as some weird rejection of traditional masculinity. Right wing guys don't tend to do this.

Donald Trump was ~$1 Billion underwater when $1 Billion was a ton of money, 1993. He clawed his way back 10 fold. You can say what you want about him, but he climbed his way out of the abyss when everyone wrote him off and became President twice. He has just done fine by all accounts. How many billionaires have been President twice? Um none.

He would have just went bankrupt like he did all the other times and built it back up by marketing. He’s not some business genius. He is 100% a marketing and branding genius. He’s convinced a bunch of working class people he’s one of them. That’s an amazing skill, but give that dude a tumor on his pancreas and no one goes out a bigger bitch than him.

Ive known Druff for 15 years and spent time with him, including shooting firearms. Im not going to get into a long list or post, but he and I are a lot alike and have similar interests and we are alot different. One thing I will give him credit for is that he is a good father and family man. I really think this is huge. As for being a pro poker player, yeah, I wish I could do that too, not glamorous or so demanding, but its better than working for the man. Druff does take shit here from the other members, but I know he LOL's and shrugs it off. I think he might share too much here, but it also makes the place interesting.

As for being "gay", no one have ever mentioned that here and I know its not true. Even if he was gay, he'd still be one of my better friends.

In general, my friends would place me as a Type A personality, but that's EARNED, not given and you cant just declare yourself a Type A man. After being on this forum for over 12 years, I always considered most males here Type B based on posting. As some have figured out here, I was in the fire service and yes, earned the respect of others, put in 100% and have a good track record. But it also came with a price as you see really horrible things in real life. On the flip side, I have delivered a baby in the field among other things. Paid my dues, earned my salt and gave back to the community. Lastly, I have been an EMT for 36 years and still certified and that's something to be proud of. People actually trust you as a complete stranger to come into their homes and put hands on their family after calling 911 for an emergency. It truly is a privilege to serve.

As for Trump, I like the guy, but he has so many past skeletons in his closet, some things I just frown on. He is Hollywood by choice, a dirty group. Its funny how he has so many past issues with women and sex, but will never drink alcohol. Me- I rarely drink alcohol and keep in check. Trump is also almost 80, that makes him not so modern and current. I would have loved to see him be POTUS at age 65, would have been perfect.

In closing, you want to see some Type A personalty types that are paying their dues and proving themselves right now, look at those LAPD and CHP officers working the line and physically putting the protesters down and making the arrests. Its takes lot mentally and physically to do that. Putting in long hours while taking rocks and bottles to the body- they are doing it and we arent- total respect to those type.

Want to see a total pussy- Gavin Newsom. He banged his manager's wife, corrupt, liar, slimy, had a statue of himself made for the SF city hall and has never physically served the community. I wonder how his children actually view him?

Being a computer nerd isnt so bad, IT skill sets are important today. The key is if you know youre a nerd and then take steps to better improve your life, physical appearance and skill sets. I'll take a nerd any day over a unemployed burnt out loser who has a drug history.

He has billions, even without his Presidency. You can just dismiss it as luck, but still he earned it. I get academic guys like you want rich people to be scientists or something, inventors like Edison, etc.. Yeah, Trump is a street hustler at heart but he earned the money. He owns a shit load of buildings and golf courses, real assets. You might not like that, I get it, but he has been President twice and has about $8 Billion, give the man his due. What a life.
