If today's left would have their way in this country, anything deemed "misinformation" or "hate speech" would be censored (and harshly punished), and everyone's guns would be confiscated.

In 2020-21, there was no attempt to take the guns, but the censorship and "noble lies" told by the "experts" were off the charts. Sadly part of that was during the Trump Administration, and he was too busy fighting with the media about COVID to notice. Oh, and speaking of Twitter, remember how our SITTING PRESIDENT was banned from the platform, because of January 6? They claimed he "violated rules by inciting violence", but could not explain exactly how he did. They also couldn't explain why terrorist leaders and brutal foreign dictators were allowed to have active accounts there, while Trump was banned.

I had intelligent people actually try to reason with me that it was fine, and in fact necessary, to ban the President of the United States from Twitter.

What a fucking time. If I saw a 2019 movie portraying all of this shit happening in the future, I'd have laughed it off as unrealistic and paranoid.
