Todd is getting hit from all sides on twitter the past 24 hours. Now Jesse Sylvia is making jokes about him and saying he is a bully. I don't know you Todd but I enjoy this forum and I never even considered you as a bully type.

Still, there are some words being used to describe Ms. Brill that my father would have smacked the taste out of my mouth for using, and he's actually a misogynist, so that's saying something.

I don't know what other issues Brill is referring to, and don't care, but I don't see how calling out Jami Lafay makes Druff a misogynist. I guess the litmus test is whether or not he'd have called out a man for doing the same thing.

Like I said on Lafay, probably not the hill I would have picked, but it did inspire an article about GoFundMe scams/grifts, in general, so I thank Druff for that.
One thing about Lafay that is defensible is that she seemed to ask for help from the poker community, specifically. Given that she, as a poker player, as with all poker players, as with me as a gambling writer and gambler...are all worthless human beings who contribute nothing of value to society, at least her plea wasn't a general one targeting people that she couldn't even be argued as having a positive social impact on.
I can't believe this sort of virtue-signaling and cancel culture in the poker, or gambling, community of all places.

In order to do something like this, it instantly implies that you see yourself as an absolute moral superior to the person you are calling out. To say I'm disappointed in Veronica's recent behavior toward me would be an understatement.
I was extremely supportive to her during the Postle matter, both publicly and privately, and in return she makes this bullshit plea to the community to deplatform me.
What's especially bizarre about this is the fact that she does a show with someone who also has been in hot water recently for his own controversial remarks. So when Nick Vertucci is raked over the coals by the Twitter mob, Veronica is silent, and keeps doing the show with him. When it's me, she acts like I should be a pariah and tells everyone to unfollow me.
The difference? Nick Vertucci is useful to her right now, and I'm not.
Shameful.
Hopefully this “controversy” blows over long before the WSOP.

Apparently Lindsey is a nice woman, and is well liked around Vegas. That's what I'm hearing from people, but I never had any interaction with her personally.
I do feel bad about the thread. She was the innocent party in that story (where a dude was rude to her at the table), and I should have just stuck to discussing that element, and not gone into the whole backstory about her lifestyle. I wasn't trying to be malicious or insulting. It was just my habit of trying to give the readers the complete picture of everything going on. However, since she was the victim in this situation, and her reputation in the community was good, I should have stayed away from anything which could come off as judgmental. So I can understand why the thread upset her, and why her friends were upset by it.
I wish I could go back 3 months and have written it differently, and not just because of the mob going after me right now.
The main point of this site is to call out the shitty people/companies in poker and gambling, and to help out the innocent people screwed by them. I don't want to hurt innocent people, so I need to be more mindful regarding what I write sometimes. This doesn't apply to people who purposely post material on social media to cause controversy, or people who write ridiculous shit, but neither of these apply to Lindsey, who was not tweeting for notoriety or clicks.
So I do wish I could take it back, and I'm going to try to avoid doing things like this in the future.
Lindsey, if you read this, I apologize. I am not posting this on Twitter because I don't wish to feed the sanctimonious mob, but I do apologize to you and your friends who were rightfully upset by my post.
