I initially thought Hunter would get a sweetheart deal. But I don't think that's the case now. I think this is the Biden Justice Department's Plan B:
1)The charges keep him from testifying behind closed doors.
2) The justice department is going to put on a show trial to make voters believe there is not a two-tiered justice system.
3)But Hunter is freerolling the charges. Daddy will pardon him if convicted. If Hunter is convicted before the Nov election then he will remain free upon appeal. If Joe loses the election he will pardon Hunter shortly after the election.
If Joe wins the election he could let the appeals process play out until 2028 and if he has to then pardon Hunter. But I think Hunter would be shaking in his boots that the old man would keel over and suddenly die without pardoning him. So Hunter will be pushing the old man to pardon him as soon as possible after the 2024 election.
